small business owners are not inherently more sympathetic than their big business counterparts and in many cases most of them are jut pressed that theyre unable to line their pockets to the same extent. my experience with working with small family owned restaurants has actually been worse than with regular shitty fast food chains in some cases with some owners leveraging the quaint and small business facade to justify mistreating if not just straight up not paying their employees (some literally months on end!). lmao!! the entitlement that can come from small business owners towards the people that they pay to do a service for them is phenomenal! if you cant maintain your business without forcing your employees through shit they could call the labor board on you for then dont start one!
