Something you have to understand about depictions of transfemininity is that at every turn everyone will insist that the transfeminized subject is not a trans woman, for similar reasons to why they will insist that trans women are not actually women.
To be denied womanhood is to be denied legibility, and the transfeminized social position exists in large part to deny social legibility. (We will observe here that the denial of womanhood here is different from the forceful application of manhood, as the transfeminized are more easily understood as 'not men' or 'failing at masculinity'). This is why transfem caricatures are able to exist in a superposition of transfem and not transfem (but never trans woman), whatever most effectively serves to deny social legibility.
Thus, you can't really trust someone when they insist that an apparently transfeminized subject isn't a trans woman. All surrounding structures that wield transmisogyny will contrive around this fact. So, no I don't really believe you when you insist that you're a boy. You're putting on the dress and I'm giving you your injections, I'm not asking.
