JUSTICE FOR CASEY GOODSON

On December 4th, 2020, Casey Christian Goodson Jr. (23 years old) was shot three times in the back and murdered by a Sheriff’s Deputy as he was entering his home in Columbus, Ohio. Goodson’s family stated that he was returning home from a dentist appointment, holding a Subway sandwich, his face mask, and his keys, when he was shot.

Two days later, the Columbus Police Department made a statement alleging that James Meade, the deputy responsible for Goodson’s death, saw a man believed to be Goodson with a gun while driving. Meade then approached Goodson after he exited his car and walked home, where he was shot.

Hours after the shooting, the US Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, Peter Tobin, confirmed that Goodson was not the fugitive they were searching for. However, Tobin also added that he believed that the shooting was justified, claiming that Goodson was shot after he refused to drop his “weapon.”

Yet another Black man murdered by the police.

DEMAND JUSTICE.

on the one hand this is a joke post because lol i have never made a good post in my life, but also, if i hadn’t made the connection between this update and my sudden nosedive in activity, i would have been really fucking discouraged about all the shit i’ve been working on lately. i guarantee there are people on tumblr right now who haven’t made that connection, and who are trying to figure out why suddenly no one likes anything they’ve made. and that fucking sucks.

This blog is down approximately 80%, which doesn’t affect me other than as an annoyance (as this is a hobby and @okayto is small-ish) but the issue undoubtedly hurts others.

there seems to be a revolution where people are finally realizing how silly high poly cc is. and with high poly we're talking stuff that's like 30k polygons and more. keeping one or two items above game ready (10k) poly in your game is fine, just don't put it on every Sim or in every build.

but when there's ppl who's cc is always disgustingly high poly, it's gonna fry your pc eventually. that's items that are always 30k and more. 1 (one) top at 50k. a pair of shoes at 30k. a hair at 80k. now say you have 20 pairs of shoes and 20 tops and 20 hairs. that's 20×50 000, 20×30 000 and 20×80 000. I don't math well but I'd say farewell graphics card. and this is just an example. that and the fact that people charge real actual money for it.

of course, this is just my opinion. but unless you hate your pc, check the poly count using sims 4 studio before you add things to your game.

As the first rays of sunlight crested the peaks of the mountains and life once again stirred in the valley, inside an unfamiliar room Arya stirred from a deep sleep and sat up in bed groggily rubbing away the last traces of her bizzar dreams from her eyes. She struggled to remember what her dreams had been about as fuzzy images teased her in the back of her mind. Judging by how swollen her eyes felt they hadn’t been good and perhaps were best left forgotten. She cracked an eye open squinting against the bright light trickling in from the window. Ever so slowly her eyes began to focused on her surroundings and within the beat of a heart that fleeting moment of peace came crashing down bringing her back to reality. Her dream suddenly came back to her in vivid detail.

A groan slipped past her lips as she moved to sit on the edge of the bed, body aching with the reminder of everything that had happened yesterday. 

“shiiiit” she cussed quietly to herself “it wasn’t a dream. Damn it.”

She felt like curling into a ball and going back to sleep forever to avoid dealing with the reality of her life. The guilt that had nagged at her yesterday was now consuming her from the inside out. How quick she had been to crumble when she had gotten tiered last night.

“I can’t believe I let them talk me into staying...stupid” Arya felt so dumb, so naive and little.

“I need to go find my dad. Y-yeah..he could need me..” even to her own ears it sounded doubtful but she pushed away those feeling focusing in on the guilt instead. Letting it lead her in her decision.

“And I’m not letting that arrogant leech stop me this time”

Lilith watch with curiosity at the way Vlad re-positioned himself in the chair and tried to regain his composure after his unexpected outburst. It wasn’t unlike him to loose his temper over the smallest things that, to Lilith at least, seemed unimportant. But there was something off about Vlad tonight, whatever it was there was something about Arya that seemed to irritate the vampire more than usual. 

“No you misunderstand” Vlad continued nonchalantly with his usual less than enthused attitude, “I can only handle your brother for so long in small doses... him plus her together? I think I would rather willingly put myself into my own grave for an eternal slumber than ever having to deal with that”.

Lilith grinned delighted at the prospect of seeing Vlad so annoyed. She studied Aryas face again more thoroughly this time noticing just how beautiful she really was even with tears streaking down her face. She could feel Vlads scrutinizing eyes on her, “Oh I have a feeling Arya and I are going to be good friends”.

“That’s precisely what I’m afraid of”

“Hm. Regardless, I can already tell she’s going to be a pain in the ass to deal with. She’s spirited and mouthy” Two traits she had definitely inherited from her mother. The mere thought of the girls mother sent a pulse of irritation through his veins. He understood when Eva made the decision to leave Silas and the coven and live under the radar, but he had always figured that Arya would be raised knowing what she was. Fools, and now look at who has to deal with this mess now.  He thought to himself.

“God Vlad if you could hear yourself” Lilith continued to berate him, “You sound like a real grumpy old geezer”.

Ignoring Lilith's remarks he sat back down to try and figure out how to fix this mess he had been handed.

“I’m going to need someone to train her”

“Caleb is a decent trainer” Lilith offered.

Vlad's head snapped up at neck breaking speed “NO!” he yelled in a burst of anger that exploded from his chest.

There was a beat of silence where Vlad realized his mistake and quickly looked to see if he had awoken the girl, he missed the way Lilith's eyebrows shot up in surprise at his outburst.

“It was just a suggestion, no need to get worked up. If it matters that much why don’t you train her?”
