Elthion's Shonen Jump Snapchats

Every week I read English Shonen Jump, these snap chats are my reactions to it. All series will be tagged with the series name followed by spoilers so if you don't want to know what happens in a given series, black list that tag.

We finally wrap up the Stain arc in My Hero Academia.

He is captured and our heroes go to the hospital to recover.

Where the chief of police basically tells them that what they did was highly illegal and they should all be punished for it

but because they are students and ultimately they were trying to help people the whole incident will be covered up and they won’t get any praise but also won’t get any punishment.

So Garo randomly runs into Saitama, but Saitama doesn’t recognize him.

Garo knows he’s a hero of some kind I think so he attacks him

and gets his ass kicked

so there we go when this fight eventually happens Saitama will probably just win

oh well, it will still be a good fight

Pernida breaks out of Mayuri’s Bankai and fires off some Quincy arrows, then Nemu shows up and some arms get cut off.

Next.

We get the beginnings of Allen’s backstory and it’s just as dark as most of the rest of this opening.

I sort of forgot that his eye was caused by Mana cursing him.

This is a really good start to a series.

So Yu-Gi-Oh Arc V.

I have no idea what’s going on

I don’t know who these characters are

I can barely tell some of them apart

And that’s about it for this chapter

This was a nice chapter to show off just how strong Garo is, there’s some pretty cool fights and I’m excited to see Garo fight Saitama.

So Black Clover

everyone shows off cool special attacks

that’s about it

Stain finally goes down.

And then a Nomu grabs Midoriya!

We learn Marika’s backstory a little more and how it lead to this current arc.

There’s not a whole lot else this chapter.

So Bleach.

Mayuri makes a new Bankai, and it’s a horrible new nerve baby thing

just why

why would he do that, I mean I know why, it’s cause he’s a sociopath but still

anyways the nerve baby eats the giant hands.

So I guess this week we’re looking at all of the 8 kings?

And wind up in Area 1?

What happened to the Area 6 Competition?

I feel like maybe someone said that Toriko needed to get start moving toward endgame.

I guess we’ll see

As we continue winding down Dressrosa, this week we get the end of Rebecca and Kyros’s story and it’s a nice emotional scene.

Next time Luffy goes up against Fujitora?

The contest between Soma and Kuga finally comes to an end with neither side really winning or losing. While Soma beat Kuga on Day 4, apparently in his mind he doesn’t actually win unless he beats him overall.

Also it was nice to see Kuga’s flashback where we see that he was/is just as much of a little shit as Soma is and it makes more sense why he sees him as a rival.

And finally we meet Erina’s father and holy fuck is he scary.

Hey guys quick update. Sorry for the lack of content, I’ve just been busy with some other stuff on my end, but I promise by the end of this week we’ll be all caught up which means there will be 3 issues worth of Jump over this week but then things can go back to normal.

Our Jump Back of D. Gray-man continues. 

And wow it’s just as dark as the last one. I forgot about this little side story with Leo, it’s a good little story and it’s important for revealing Allen’s backstory.

Also we get our first introduction to General Marian Cross. Who is a pretty wonderful character.

Ida finally redeems himself in this week’s chapter of My Hero Academia. 

He finally becomes the hero we’ve been waiting for and he and Deku have a combined attack to hopefully finish off Stain.

It’s a great chapter I just don’t have a lot to say about it.

Soma finally beats Kuga with the help of all of his friends!.

This was a fantastic finale, the reveal of Mimasaka was one thing, but then Nikumi shows up and the Aldini brothers and this was just great.

Awesome conclusion to an awesome arc.
