Some Haunted Hotel memes (ft Mabel)

One of my favorite things to do is draw characters over memes. I haven't really drawn anything in a while, but this show was a lot of fun and it got me wanting to do so again. It filled that void Gravity Falls left a bit. It had some flaws and some things I didn't like (*cough thebenskissing *cough) but overall I really liked it. I actually found it really funny which I don't usually with a lot of adult cartoons. Abaddon was definitely the stand out character in terms of comedy and just in general. I found almost everything he did funny. I think Abaddon and Esther were my favorites out of the show. I just love me some characters that are silly little guys causing chaos.

i'll stop talking about gos2 soon, but i was thinking about why the eating scene irks me so much and it comes down to

it robs aziraphale of agency and makes him more of a canvas for crowley's influence rather than an actor on his own impulses

it's just funnier the other way around

there's a passage in Paradise Lost where Adam and Eve have the angel Raphael over for dinner and ask him awkward questions about angel sex, and I'm really attached to my funny headcanon idea that Adam and Eve fed Aziraphale in the Garden and he kept coming back like a raccoon trying to get into the trash.

the now somewhat non-canonical rules-lawyering bookverse bastard aziraphale that lives in my head would incline more towards the following

not only because it makes sense to me, but because it's funny. It's funny to have those inversions, an angel who'd look at the menu and say, "idc if it's shellfish wrapped in bacon. It's called 'Angels on Horseback.' I can't not eat it." But I also like to draw him smoking weed. So.

We are Job

Mini-meta because I had a galaxy brain take moment while writing my actual meta:

We (the fandom) are Job.

We had a fantastic life, great times, everything was going super (Season 1), we trusted in the Creator (Neil). And then, to test us, the Creator took away everything we love and destroyed it in front of our eyes (Season 2, particularly Ep6) and so if we CONTINUE to trust in him and believe in him, he will fix it and we will GET BACK TWICE AS MUCH as we had before (Season 3, happily ever after for the Ineffable Husbands).
