Manga and Legos are the most commonly lifted items. Manga almost always has easily peel-able RFIDs hidden in pages.
Legos with spider wraps can be detagged by either being slid off in a blindspot and hidden or, and I have not tried this so proceed with caution, cut off with a pocket knife.
Other toys, dice, collectibles whatever without spider tags are either RFIDed on the outside or likely not tagged at all. If you dont see an RFID its safe to assume it isnt tagged. This goes up to items worth at least $59.99. Technically everything above $50 is supposed to be tagged but I dont need to tell you that isnt the case :)
ALL CDs/Vinyls have RFIDs in the price tags. They will beep at every tower.
Blind spots in mall outlets can be easily found by windows, blind spots in standalone locations can be sometimes found by cooking, self help, or classic literature.
If you make a legitimate purchase at the starbucks you can be given a B&N bag. This can be used for future/other locations to simply walkout and alleviate suspicion.
Loss prevention is usually not active in mall locations, unless its a high-theft area. If they see a significant enough theft mall security will be alerted.
Loss prevention in standalone locations has greatly diminished since pre-Covid. Most stores wont have any AP/LP.
Booksellers and baristas (if you get caught concealing by a barista get off liftblr) are hands off, and if they see you concealing will alert the manager. You are very unlikely (still possible, however. Donât be brazen) to be confronted by booksellers, but the manager can confront you if desired.
If a regular shopper sees you conceal and alerts a worker, you can be confronted in store.
B&N casebuilds repeat offenders if youâre caught on camera taking something big. Find a blindspot.
The amount of cameras in use has also been either stagnant or shrinking. Assume all are real but dont think blind spots are impossible to find.
Even if caught by a worker or seen on camera chances are you wont be approached. Workers do not get paid enough to care and are advised not to confront at all.
B&N has regional LP that will also work to catch repeat, high-value offenders. Boosting ring type lifters, professionals, whatever. Police will be alerted.
Internal theft is a larger concern for regional LP and B&N general management as petty theft is frequently covered by insurance.
B&N does inventory once a year.
Stores are usually disorganised (to workers, at least) due to recent changes in shelve markings.
Theft/loss of product is measured as a percentage of the stores sales. This means that less popular stores will put a greater focus on anti-theft measures whereas more popular stores will place less, and subsequently be easier to lift from.
District managers/store managers are the only positions that really place a focus on shoplifting. Sales associates, booksellers, baristas, etc. dont.
Not the usual thing but I thought âhey since itâs all free why notâ . Iâve been doing it for a while but itâs fun to get it all in one shot so I have more free shit to take home with my lifts for the day. Iâve done this multiple times a year, multiple times a month, etc. No purchase required for these.
CrumbĂ Cookie â Free cookie of choice on your birthday. Sign up (they require phone number on sign up; I use a fake GoogIe Voice number) Coupon will arrive on the birthday you gave them.
SprinkIes Cupcakes â Free cupcake on birthday, usually coupon arrives about 2/3 days before. Phone number as well for sign up.
CinnabĆn â Free 16 oz. cold brew (Vanilla or Cinnamon flavor) on birthday. All you gotta do is sign up. I signed up on Wednesday, set my birthday for today (Friday) and instantly got the coupon on Wednesday evening.
Jersey Mikeâs â Free sandwich. Entirely. A whole free sandwich. Just sign up and add b-day.
lyftaholic, owns way to much fucking makeup, needs to donate so stuff already, lfts habitually, like goes lfting every Saturday morning or whatever, goes over the felony limit by accident, takes pretty much exclusively clothing and makeup, not the most careful and most likely to get caught
boring lifter, will go to a cvs and legit leave with advil, tampons, and a water bottle. probably fairly cheap. shoplfts from dollar stores, and steals the generic version of groceries. likely lives on there own and got into lfting as a way to make there budget better. not very materialistic, treats the stuff they lft well even though they can just get more
booster, steals like 47 mascaras, probably the one who keep posting about not dnaing from independent amazon sellers. has an internal spread sheet of what sells for the most money and what is easier to get hands on. despite this business they have no budget, no emergency fund, and are basically always blindsided by bills because they know they can just swing by the store a pick up 100$
the crazy bitch, probably takes glasses, silverware, and wall art from restaurants. the one who steals security camera. at some level just in it for the challenge. steals stuff for friends regular even when being asked not to, all their friends know they shoplft. if someone they know has a half eye glanced at a makeup pallet it will be handed to them once they get back to the car. you keep thinking they are going to get caught but they are crazy good because if they werenât they would have been put in jail years ago.Â
the spreadsheet, this person have lifting down to a formula of what you can get, where, without every getting sussed out even once. they are the ones who scope out stores before lifting there, check out the local posting for lp jobs to see what loss protection does and doesnât do, look up company policy on what to do with shoplifters, know local laws, write down where they shoplift and when, and preplan there route. absolute masters at dnaing because they can tell you the exact amount you can get from every website to exist since 1995.Â
DISCLAIMER: this is a comprehensive road map or âcheat sheetâ that I originally created for my own personal use. I used my own experiences, othersâ experiences (shoutout to @lyft1ngburn3r âs post in specific), and research Iâve done to create this. Itâs extremely important to know this information, and know it well, so even under pressure you can reference back to it to keep yourself safe.
If caught by someone who has no legal power to physically stop you (like employees and LP): just get the hell away. Loss Prevention doesnât have a badge; they are staff, not officers, so they have no legal power to physically restrain or search you. Walk, run, drive off, etc. No matter how intense the situation is, just GET AWAY. Even if you are scared and you feel like youâre going to shit your pants, running is ALWAYS better than having cops haul you off in handcuffs or catching a charge. Try not to run unless you absolutely need to, it draws attention. They may try to block the exit, so in an emergency situation like that just fucking BOOK IT. Donât give them your ID, ever. Donât give them your real name. Do not admit to anything. If the situation isnât too tense, you can ask them if theyâd like to see the inside of your bag or show them yourself if you body concealed to appear less suspicious. If they threaten to call the cops, fine, but donât wait around for them and get the hell out.
If you are stopped by police in store or police who were called:
First, ask if you are free to go. Get a CLEAR YES OR NO.
âŹïž
If they say yes, calmly walk away.
âŹïž
If they say no, you are being detained and no longer have the legal right to walk away. Being detained is not the same as being arrested, think of it as being held. In which case you need to COOPERATE!!! In this instance, I donât recommend running. Most police will chase you and âevading arrestâ can result in another/higher charge. If you think you can get away, it is up to you to take that risk. DO NOT get physical with police. You WILL be locked up for that, assault of law enforcement is never taken lightly.
> The officer will ask for your: name, address, and ID. Again, COOPERATE with them. Giving false information can result in another/higher charge.
(If you are a minor, a legal guardian is needed to confirm your information. If you are not being arrested and think they will go along, you can choose to give them false information and have your guardian âconfirmâ it then be on your merry way. Again, only do this if you think your legal guardian will back you up and if you are not being arrested. Even as a minor, you will need to provide your real information in the event of an arrest. If youâre a minor they are also not legally allowed to take photos of you.)
> The officer may legally FRISK you during detainment (this is an EXTERNAL pat down of yourself and your bags if they have REASONABLE SUSPICION that they are in danger or that you are armed), but you do not have to consent to it. The officer may listen or may not. Say âI do not consent to this searchâ as it may stop them and it may come in handy later should the situation escalate.
âŹïž
If you are being arrested, the officer may legally SEARCH you (this is more invasive and can include going through your pockets, bags, closed containers, feeling the inside of your waistband, removing your shoes and/or hat, and shaking out your bra if you are wearing one), but again you do not have to consent. Say âI do not consent to this searchâ. DO NOT empty your pockets, as this is consenting to a search.
> After that, SHUT THE FUCK UP. Say you are going to remain silent and that you would like to speak to an attorney, then BE SILENT. I cannot stress this enough, do not give up any information that you donât have to. Do not sign ANYTHING or speak to ANYONE about details of your arrest until you have an attorney present.
In other words: if there are no cops involved, you are still in the clear if you can get away. RUN LIKE YOUR CRIMINAL RECORD DEPENDS ON IT! If cops are involved, shut the fuck up and comply. Hope that they donât have enough to arrest/charge you or that they choose not to. They might just put your name into the storeâs system and take your picture, in which case be grateful. Who needs their stinky merch anyway.
Please be safe out there. I was arrested when I was 12 for l!fting at Cl@/reâs and it was incredibly traumatic. Some people are genuinely deranged and enjoy punishing people they deem less worthy of respect than them. They will not hesitate to fuck your life up over a lipgloss, so in turn donât hesitate to do whatever it takes to protect yourself. Lots of love from this stranger to you, my messages and asks are always open <3
Call the store. Ask to speak to the loss prevention department.
Me: âHi. Iâm looking for a job in loss prevention and am wondering if youâre hiring now.â
Them: âYes we are!â
(Great time to lift. Theyâre hiring. Which means they need people and if they still have LP they are just putting in their 2 weeks so they can get the hell outta there.)
If they arenât hiring, ask if you can still submit an application.
Me: âThanks! Who can I ask for when I come in and apply?â
Them: âAsk for Johnny B Good. Heâs our LP manager.â
Me: âThank You!â Hangs up phone. Goes on Facebook and looks up Johnny B Good. Finds him. Cute photo of him and his wife. Awe look. They have a new baby. Sweet. So heâs gained some weight since 2010. Wow. Oh look at his 200 friends. Letâs check them out. LP are close with not only their own LP but other stores as well.
So now I know that Johnny B Good is the LP manager at my favorite store. I also know what he looks like and can watch out for him when Iâm in the store. Bonus. If heâs the Manager, heâll usually be in plain clothes bossing the other LP around so you can find out who they are as well!
This saved me from getting caught one day. I was on the lookout for Johnny B Good and there was no sign of him anywhere. I continued gathering all the stuff I wanted to lift plus the stuff I didnât. I was about to exit and I got this weird gut feeling. Not now. I strolled around the store some more. I noticed this guy in a green t-shirt who walked passed me twice and it looked like he knew the store employees. It freaked me out that I was being followed and I started dumping sh-t fast!!! I decided maybe I should buy a few things and take a few things. As Iâm turning the corner, I look back at green t-shirt and heâs chatting with guess who!? Johnny B Good!!! There he is!! Omg!! So I lift nothing, buy a few items and leave!! I go home and look at his fb again. Thereâs green t shirt on his friends list!
They stalk you. Why not stalk them? Could save your life one day!!! Does Johnny B Good think Iâm a lifter? Maybe. Or maybe just an airhead who couldnât make up her mind. Who knows. I stayed clear of that place for 6 months!! When I went back I saw him again. He had no clue who I was. I knew who he was though. And thatâs all that matters!
When calling another store they not only told me they were hiring but couldnât connect me to the LP manager because they literally had NO LP at the time and were desperately searching! Yipppeeeeeeeee!!!! I went there 5 days in a row! Lol. Great Hauls.
Information is power. Acquire it, use it!
Johnny B Good = Fake Name. As if I even needed this disclaimer. Lol
do you have any tips for victoriaâs secret during covid? so many cameras, no dressing rooms đ
i would stick to sleight of hand techniques tbh, and would resign myself to not getting much per haulđ
the easiest thing to do is get a booster bag, providing you're skilled enough at lifting and can understand and accept the risks. i wouldn't recommend this to anyone not 100% sure of themselves though, the penalties for being found with one are huge
lifting without fitting rooms might be difficult since Victoria's Secret tags their stuff (pencil tags i think), and sometimes uses embedded soft tags in labels. plus they put rfids on their perfumes too. scope yours out, see if they're diligent about it or not. if you're particularly ballsy you could try doing a walkout, preferably in the middle of a group of strangers
you could bring an opaque water bottle and stuff it full of knickers, or just hang them on your arm like bracelets and throw your jacket on top. you could also sleeve conceal. i'm focusing on knickers bc they're easier to conceal and these are difficult times to lift in. i guess you could also gather stuff you want alongside decoy items and then conceal what you want in blind spots. i think body concealing is very useful rn, especially if you want to do a walkout - e.g. wearing a tight top under a loose top/sweater and stuffing items into the tight top in blind spots - the loose top should hide the bulkiness. i think if it were me, i would go when it's crowded bc crowds are good for hiding you when there's few blind spots and many cameras. but only do this if you're comfortable concealing in a crowd and have some experience at it
if you're hell-bent on getting stuff from Victoria's Secret but nothing i'm recommending will work for you... you could always just do a dna with them! apparently they're easy, and @modernnbonnie and @crybabylift have both done it. here's crybabylift's post on the matterđđș
what r some tips for newbies that seem obvious but aren't? for example I literally thought barcodes were important for so long lmaooo
lmaooo we've all been theređ
hmm, these are only my opinions (and some pet peeves), so they won't be one size fits all tips. but yeah
don't over-act and draw any attention - i've seen people make a big show out of checking their phone and having a loud fake phone conversation in order to seem natural in a store. i've also seen posts where the op recommends pretending that someone called you to say that a loved one got in a car accident so you can exclaim in horror and rush out of the store. or another post where someone wanted to see if the security towers worked so they "accidentally" took an item too close to the towers to set them off, then ran back into the store like 'omg sorry!!' like, most customers are quiet and minding their own business as they shop, so drawing attention to yourself will only make you memorable and sus imo. it seems to be a newbie thing to overdo the customer act out of nerves
acting too chummy with the SAs. where i live, shoppers are usually silent on their own and only interact with the SAs when approached or if they're having trouble finding something. if an SA greets you at the doorway (rare), they might get a smile or a mumbled hi, but not much more. if you're in a place like this then too much interaction is a bit sus, especially if your nerves make you chirpy. i had a newbie lifter friend who said 'hiiiii!!!!!' every time she entered a store near an SA and it ALWAYS got us sussedđđ btw this isn't to say don't be nice to the SAs, but there is such thing as acting too familiar. mimic the customers around you
i guess leaving packaging behind. this ties into the barcode thing, but every newbie lifter does it at some point. it's a red flag that your store has a thief, and we don't want to tip a store off to that
the art of casual lifting and misdirection. i worked at a topshop once and the number one red flag for spotting potential lifters was seeing someone touching merch with their hands but looking everywhere else. i get why ppl do this - when you're stuffing merch into your bag you don't want to be looking straight at it since that's a big tip off. but then you get into the habit of doing that while you're scoping the place out and it looks super sus. look at what your hands are examining like a shopper would, don't let those eyes wander so obviously. if your other hand is busy stuffing merch into your bag that's fine, but your eyes need to be fixed on the decoy merchandise for the misdirection to work
rfids, cut them down the middle to deactivate them. they've got that metal circle, right? they only work when the circle is complete, so slicing them down the middle will stop them from working. it's easy to remember that way imo, but newbies get paranoid and slice the shit out of them, which i totally get. but just breaking the circle will work just as well, and it's less time-consuming
booster bags don't keep magnet detectors from detecting magnets. booster bags work as faraday cages - they block electromagnetic signals from escaping, which is why they work on rfids and hard tags. but magnet detectors can sense magnetic signals, not electromagnetic, so a faraday cage won't shield your magnet from detection. neither will a metal box or burying the magnet in clothing - i don't think there's anything that will keep a magnet detector from sensing the magnetic signals. if you're scared of your magnet being detected, don't bring the magnet
also, magnet detectors are a lot rarer than you think. you won't find them everywhere. the way i used to measure it was 1/15 urban outfitters had them based on my own experiencesđ you can spot them pretty easily - they're slim glass towers installed alongside regular ones. if you accidentally go into a store that has them with your magnet, body conceal your magnet and leave after a brief time browsing to avoid looking sus. you can also enter and exit the store in a group if you know of the towers but want to use your magnet anyway. newbies seem very scared of these towers, which i get, but they're not common at all
you don't have to stop for an SA or LP at the doors. obviously this depends on your country's laws. i think newbies in particular become paralysed by fear and consent to a search when they don't have to. the authority that SAs and LP hold isn't as powerful as you think, and they don't have the lawful right to make you consent to a search. you could go full Karen to avoid this if you're old enough, but sometimes a simple "no" or "no thanks" will suffice. don't get sucked into an argument either, just refuse or ignore them and exit as fast as you can without running. again, leaving in a group is helpful for this since you can feign ignorance and leave without responding (don't make eye contact lol)
you can't physically lift items out of the reach of security towers. towers detect things an equal distance around the towers. if two towers are a metre apart, that is the extent of their reach all around, above, and below them. if the merch is a metre away from the towers at the entrance, that is the extent the towers can detect tag signals. just saying this bc i've seen newbies suggest putting tags/a magnet in their bun, or pretending to stretch as they exit the store with an item in their fist to avoid setting off the towers. that won't work sadly
don't over-explain yourself, it's a signifier of nerves. if an SA approaches you to see if you need help, a simple 'no thanks' or 'no thank you i'm just browsing' is fine. nip it in the bud and don't provide more detail than necessary. it feels curt when you're nervous but most customers don't want to chat imo
make sure not to react physically to things around you. if someone sets off the security towers while you're browsing don't look around, continue as you are. ignore people who walk by you, don't glance at everyone who comes your way. this is because LP know that lifters are twitchy so sometimes they'll set up nearby distractions to see if you're keeping an eye on your surroundings
okay i'm scraping the bottom of the barrell and this chance to complain about my newbie pet peeves was very therapeutic, thank you!! also if you do these things dw it's all natural when you're new, plus there's always room for improvement and growth. i hope this can help any bby lifters out theređđđ
Hey, on Reddit today I was reading a post where some employees and LP were talking. Here was my takeaway.
-not all of those face cams at the SCO machines are recording
-assume that they are because some AP sit and watch the SCO feed instead of being on the floor
-if your transaction randomly gets suspended or you get the âbag countâ notification, youâre caught.Â
-EverSeen is a new program that will be able to see unscanned items through the scanning mechanism and will freeze the entire register. Right now it is only in high-risk stores. Walmart plans to roll them out everywhere.Â
-Many of the SCO machines now have a theft camera. The camera on your face is a distraction and there is a secondary camera near the scanner that is watching your hands. Iâm close with the folks at my store so I can see if I can get pics.Â
this happened a while ago in 2021 but i wanted to post about it now that i'm back. it was probably the most fun i've ever had lifting
so disguises / switching up my appearance has always been a part of my lifting strategy but up until this point i didn't really change it up in my day-to-day life. i (used to) have long brown hair so i would wear short wigs with a knit hat, bucket hat, or baseball cap on top for my disguises, changing up the style of outfit along with the hair changes. the hats were essential, not only to hide that it's a wig but also to hide where my real hair was getting bunched up under the wig cap, it was really long and thick and no matter how tight I laid it down, there was always some area that would've looked unnatural if i didn't wear the hat over it.
switching up wig + hat + glasses/sunglasses or any combination of those (and different masks), I could easily look like 2 different people over the course of a day and hit a store twice. but I never risked lifting from the same store 3 times in 1 day just because i was worried if they noticed me in a wig the first time, they might start to get suspicious and really be on the lookout for anyone else in a wig for the rest of the day.
well, unrelated to lifting i was getting really bored with my hair and wanted to change it up so i booked an appointment to get quite a bit cut off and colored to a strawberry blonde. this was right after lockdowns started easing up and salons were finally open again, I think being confined that whole time and seeing the same look in the mirror every day, i'd just had enough and needed a complete reset
i was honestly really nervous leading up to the hair appointment because i'd never colored it before or had a drastic cut (i was at like waist length before and i wanted to get a collarbone length lob). i got so anxious i almost canceled but as i was lying awake one night i realized it could be the perfect opportunity to lift from the same store 3 times in one day. once i started planning it out i got really excited for the hair appointment AND for all the lifting i would be able to do.
a week before the hair appointment, i wore a short black wig to go check out the mall and see what items i wanted to lift, also it was the first time i'd been to the mall since the pandemic so i wanted to see how busy it would be. there were more people than i expected since everyone was wanting to enjoy the lifted restrictions and that gave me more peace of mind that i'd be able to pull it off.
my appointment was late in the afternoon, so i went to the mall as "myself" in the morning with my long mousy brown hair in its natural wavy texture. i was wearing business casual type of clothing, blazer, slacks, low heels, press on french tips, fake engagement ring, trying to look rich yet unassuming and not stand out in any way. I was able to lift 3 dresses, some bras and underwear, and a necklace. that took about half the morning.
there were other items i still wanted but I left them for my next "character" to grab. i went out to my car and drove out to a residential area about 10min away just to make sure no cameras caught me changing. I put on a red bob wig and a bucket hat, crop top, and shorts, changed to platform sandals, and switched from a tote bag to a crossbody. Also took off my glasses, ripped off the press-ons/ring, put on heavy eye makeup, and changed from a disposable mask to a cloth mask. then i drove back to the mall and parked in a completely different area. this time i was able to get the earrings and bracelet to match the necklace from earlier, a few makeup products, and 2 eyeshadow palettes. i think there were some other things that i'm forgetting from this trip but those are the main ones.
it was early afternoon by that point so i went back home and took a quick shower and ate lunch before the appointment. i was still a bit worried about how it was going to turn out but i knew now that i absolutely had to go through with it, not just because of my lifting plan but also bc i would've been a huge asshole to cancel on my stylist last minute.
the appointment itself went really really well! ngl i did cry when she did the big chop just form the release of it, i felt like she was cutting off all the stress of quarantine and it felt a little overwhelming but also refreshing. the bleaching and coloring took longer than i expected but it turned out exactly how i wanted it to. at the end i asked her to straighten it, bc i'd started off with the wavy hair in the morning and wanted to look as different as possible to not be recognized. i barely recognized myself afterwards so it would have been pretty amazing if someone did at the mall but i absolutely didn't want to take any chances.
i went back home and ate dinner before going to the mall for the last time, i was so energized at that point, i was almost high on the rush of the big transformation as well as already pulling off 2 lifts in a day. I was probably too overconfident that i wouldn't get caught just because i felt so different with my new hair, i literally felt like a completely different person than the one i woke up as so it was super easy to play a new character. I redid my makeup and changed into a maxi dress + denim jacket + sneakers, red press-ons, just trying to go for a different vibe than my previous two that day. on my last trip i got a wallet, a bunch of body lotion/wash/mist, 2 candles, a silk robe, a few blouses, and I did my first-ever shoe AND handbag walkout to finish it all off. I don't think i would've even attempted that before. From what i could tell, no one sussed me at all, i did see a some of the same employees throughout the day but none of them seemed to realize I was the same person. in the weeks following, some of my friends and family even did a double take at how different i looked so overall it was a massive success even though i got a little riskier than i normally would've! wouldn't get so cocky again but no regrets now.
on the drive home from the last trip i just remember feeling so thrilled that i'd actually done it, not only did i finally work up the nerve to do something fun with my hair, i'd also gotten a ton of good stuff and no one was the wiser that they saw me 3 times. maybe that sounds crazy to say but that was the moment when i really decided to start lifting regularly again. i didn't add my total for the day but i would guess it was around 2000-2500.
since then i've changed up my hair more, i got a blonde moneypiece and layers and then i went full platinum blonde and chin length (also bleached my brows). it's kind of addicting to change the cut and color every time instead of one or the other, I finally get what people meant when they said thy change their personality when they change their hair. it's actually helped me getting better into character when I'm in the wigs too.
Some people I haven't seen since before lockdown still fail to recognize me at times, it's kind of funny. i love taking advantage of the opportunity w each hair appointment to lift as two different people before and after w/o having to worry about what if i get caught in a wig or having to go through the trouble to put the wig cap etc. I don't go to the same mall every time, i try to switch it up so they never remember what i look like and I still wear wigs too, I actually got some longer wigs now just to give that contrast in appearance, incl a long brown one that looks like my old hair. idk what i want to do with it next, I'm thinking bangs and dye it darker or a fun color (or maybe go straight for a pixie cut bc it's honestly kind of damaged), then i could wear my short and long wigs and still feel like it's different enough.
but yeah, moral of the story, don't underestimate disguises, they can be a lot of fun and a great tool to have. Getting recognized is the precursor to getting caught so do whatever you can to absolutely not be recognized, especially if you're lifting from stores that build cases. your hair is the feature that makes you the most recognizable esp with a mask on!
i don't think i'd ever attempt 3 lifts in one day from the same mall again but it will definitely go down as my most memorable lifting day ever! and if you're planning to change up your hair a lot soon, you can use it to your advantage, i really wish i did it sooner! The difference between how i was treated with my long natural hair before vs. now with a really sleek and polished style is night and day. not just by ppl in stores but acquaintances, ppl at work, etc. I look more mature and get taken more seriously. i dont think i'll ever go back to long natural hair, just because of how i get treated so much better now.
unfortunately people are going to make judgements on us based on appearance and the best way we can fight back is to use it to our advantage.
Copied this post bc the original had too many notes
I havenât seen any posts on body pĂ€ckïñg and I like to think of myself as pretty experienced when it comes to this so Iâm gonna tell yâall what I dođđđ«
DIFFERENT WAYS TO BODY PĂCK
1. This is the most obvious and I guess easiest way, assuming youâre Äź1ft1ng clothes you just wear the clothes under what you are already wearing. This is self-explanatory
2. This is my FAVORITE way you can get so much, I have a really cheap corset and I just wear that under a loose fitting shirt so the boning doesnât show and you can jam pack that thing full of stuff (not just clothes) and not a single lump will show
3. âLining yourselfâ lets say youâre Äź1ft1ng two pairs of pants and you are already wearing one under the pants you came in wearing and you can shove another pair on so you take your shirt off and you for example fold the waist band in a little bit put one leg of the pants down your arm and one down your torso. Put your shirt and jacket back on and youâre good to go
4. The elastic method: Äź1ft some elastic from a craft store, measure your waist, subtract a couple inches and sew it together. Next time you go Äź1ft1ng put the elastic around your waist and since it is nice and tight it will hold things to you without them slipping out. This works best for lighter items like panties or clothes. Hard plastic items might slip out but if you make it tight enough Iâm sure you can do it with makeup
5. this is for on floor cöncĂŠÄźĂñg but basically you just shove shit in your boots. letâs say youâre in sephora and you have a long coat and tall boots on, you can crouch down to look at something have your coat go over your boots and put whatever is in your hand into your boot and viola!đ
6. This is also for on the floor cöncĂŠÄźĂñg and Iâm not even sure if this counts as body pĂ€ckïñg but you just put your thing in your armpit and walk out this is good for little things but if you have a big wallet you can put larger things behind the wallet and put the wallet plus whatever your lifting in your armpit to block the view of what your lifting
Iâm sure this isnât all of the methods, just what I could think of off the top of my head đ
this isnt a dna story but rather some advice- i dont have my own blog, hope this is ok to submit!
business owners call dnas "friendly fraud." if you google it you'll see how stores try to prevent dnas through softwares that crosscheck your name, billing/shipping address, age of email address, etc. check through reddit for ecommerce owners dealing with chargebacks.
here's a list of protective measures:
1. IDENTITY: use a burner phone number and a dedicated dna email for online shopping accounts. make sure your fake name lines up across these different pieces of "digital id".
2. ONLINE PROTECTION: always block cookies/trackers, i use ublock origin. always use a vpn and a proxy. riseup.net is a good free vpn, i like tor as my browser.
3. PAYMENTS: never use your personal payment method, over time it can get flagged. too many refunds will look sus on paypal, and it could plausibly damage your credit score. use a virtual credit card (ex. koho [canada], privacy [usa], revolut [uk]).
if you are someone that has done multiple dnas, it is VERY LIKELY that your email/ip is implicated in a fraud prevention software database. multiple companies use the same softwares, this is why your orders get cancelled sometimes. change your id often!
dnas may be easy but remember it is fraud which is a crime! act accordingly!
thank you so much to whoever took the time to share these amazing tips. if you have a liftblr, please message me privately so i can give you credit!
i was reading LP job reviews for a department store iâve been interested in and the review mentioned having to follow the â5 step ruleâ. of course, take this with a grain of salt. not every store follows this protocol and often, when LP have quotas to make they will risk and break the rules. but this information was good to know.
Oh yeah, most storesâ policy is to not do anything unless they actually see you conceal. I always make sure to be in an aisle with no camera and no one to see me. You should never have any problem if you follow that and donât lift from small businesses.
