An Important Announcement (Please Read)
We at Shooting Star Subs have a big announcement for you all today. You may have noticed that we haven't been putting out videos as regularly as we have in the past. We always called ourself a 'My Pace' team. We understood we couldn't all give the same hours due to commitments in real life and that would mean we couldn't guarantee a regular release schedule for videos. So we always released videos once all parts of the process were done, this could take a day, a week or even a month depending on how much time our team members had.
Now, our team are moving on in life to the point where we have full-time jobs or more commitments. This sadly means we have less time to make the videos than we had before and our team going from over 10 members to less than half of that today. People have left for various reasons but us who are left no longer have the time to keep Shooting Star Subs as active as fans may like it to be.
So with heavy hearts and tears in our eyes, we sadly announce that Shooting Star Subs has decided to disband. We don't like that decision had to be made, or that it's even a possibility, but unfortunately, we can't keep this page going forever.
To all our fellow CandYs who have supported us throughout the almost 3 years we have had together, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love and continued support. Our love for Cross Gene has not faded and we will still support them for as long as we can in our own lives, but we see the best thing for Shooting Star Subs will be finishing here. We hated not having the time to carry it on and provide you with translations but other sources are providing this now on a more constant basis so please, give them all your support.
We all have a small message that we'd like to send to you all and we have one final video as a farewell gift to you all, which we posted at the same time as this. Please cherish what we have given you all these past years and we hope that when you think about parts of this fandom that provided happiness, joy and fond memories, you see Shooting Star Subs at the top of the list.

First of all, I'd like to say thank you for inviting me to join the team. Thank you to all my fellow S3 members/former members for their kindness, understanding, advice, guides, and cooperation that they have given me until the end. I really3x love this team and I learnt a lot from this team, especially about subbing and encoding. It was a fresh and very valuable experience for me that I wouldn't forget forever. I'm very sorry that we have to end our journey together here and finally, to all CandYs out there, thank you for your love and support to our team. Your kindness will remain forever in my heart. Goodbye Shooting Star Subs and thank you for everything.
Zen (Japanese Translator, Typesetter, Timer and Co-Admin) says:
Dear CandY, I'm wholeheartedly sorry for not being able to keep this team productive. It's been a wonderful journey, the one that filled with memories and experiences that I will treasure forever. Thank you for the support and I hope the videos this past 3 years could still be vitamins for CandY for years to come. There are some great translators in the fandom that could actively providing material for CandYs so please support them. Meanwhile S3 members will continue to work on our different path with the same CandY brotherhood spirit. May your time in the fandom will forever be sweet and please continue to support our boys. No matter where we are, no matter where Cross Gene are, we're your shooting star.
Best wishes.

It’s been a pleasure working with S3 and for all the CandYs out there. At times it wasn’t the easiest job, but I can be proud to say that we have always tried our best to show everyone the best of us when we could, thanks to our fans who gave us the fuel we needed to carry on. I cannot thank you guys more!
Although it’s time to say goodbye, it is not an end - I am sure we will be showing Cross Gene the same love in different ways. I will never forget our lovely team and of course, our wonderful fans. Thank you.
그동안 감사했습니다. (Thank you for your continued support.)
S3, 수고많았어요! (S3, you've worked hard!)
Zo (Editor, Encoder, German Translator and Co-Admin) says:
Thank you to all our fans who have provided support to us in these past years. Whether you have been a fan for a few weeks or months or years, your love and support has been plenty for all of us and to end S3 here feels like a tragedy to us. S3 meant a lot to the whole fandom, I hope now that those translators within the fandom can fill the gap we leave behind. They say leaving behind a legacy is what we all hope for. I wish that the legacy S3 leaves behind may be like planting seeds in a garden you never get to see, but we hope that this garden, the Cross Gene fandom, will continue to bloom and grow and as we watch on, we know that those who carry on our work and our legacy through their own work care as much for this as we have. I could say the same as all the others here, talk about how much I’ve learnt and grown with the team but to me, I look to this fandom and I pray we stay strong no matter what comes to face us. We’ve worked hard for you all, and now the fruits of our labours are here for all to enjoy. Thank you for these happy years.
Thank you all.
