The poor thing desperately trying to slip out of the alienette’s clutches. Pearly whites are on full display; the smile so wide & triumphant of her catch. 

❝ I caught this one with my BARE HANDS! Camping is great, I could do this forever. ❞ She’s quick to jump out of the lake with water trailing behind her, her free hand is reaching out to pull Midoriya along for the next adventure.

  this class camping trip — excuse him, survival trip — is guaranteed to be the longest ordeal of Izuku’s entire life. currently, he’s attempted to barricade himself with the other students who absolutely despise camping with every fiber of their being with very little success, considering how easy it is for Mina to corner him.

really double teaming me here aren’t ya. I’m gonna count these as two.

Izuku can’t stand accessories or skin additions on his body. whether it’s makeup, a bandage or nail polish, he absolutely cannot stand it and will immediately try to take it off. this even extends to things like jewelry; his mom had his ears pierced as a baby so he could wear earrings if he wanted to, but steadfastly refuses.

while they can easily avoid most things that hang off their body or apply to their skin, they’re more prone to injuries than their peers, which usually means bandaids are a thing. they have to be watched super closely to make sure they won’t immediately pick it off after application.

so duly note that pulling Izuku into girl’s night: not a good idea.

during the war, Izuku suffered from a lot of injuries; many of them have stuck with him over the years. one of them is a traumatic brain injury which has affected his memory and concentration over the years. he struggles with the ability of total recall, in that sometimes he doesn’t remember things that have happened, but not always.

in plainer words, that means that sometimes they’ll remember that they met up with a friend last Friday, but sometimes they won’t. he hasn’t lost the memory, but instead struggles with recalling the memory on command.

( he personally blames Tomura for the sheer amount of missed doctor’s appointments over the years. )

because of his inability to use total recall consistently, they have notes on their phone, an obsessive calendar and an amount of sticky notes scattered around their apartment and office that would make a clean freak cry.

  Midoriya Izuku doesn’t get sick. they take pride in that fact, because they want to be at 110% any time someone’s in need of their help. they take vitamins, they exercise regularly, eat full meals whenever possible.

  — so maybe it stings a little more than it really should when he drops like a sack of potatoes after his twelfth day of work in a row and wakes to Kacchan taking care of them. somewhere in his mind, he can vaguely remember that Kacchan had been there yesterday too ( and maybe even the day before, ’cause he has no idea what day it is anyway ) and he is pretty sure he had a fever, but everything’s a bit fuzzy.

  ❝  ha’work t’day.  ❞  they mumble incoherently; every single one of their limbs feels like lead and it takes an exorbitant amount of energy just to raise their hand to scrub at their eyes. it’s so damn cold in here too, which is what incites him to attempt a pathetic burrow into his blankets.

  ❝  Kacchan’s here.  ❞  as if that hadn’t already been glaringly obvious. Izuku’s a workaholic, not an idiot ( though maybe Kacchan would call him one regardless ) so he knows Kacchan’s there to take care of him, but the question still poses: why? when had Kacchan cared enough to want to stay by somebody’s side while sick? oh well. that’s a philosophical question for when he doesn’t feel like he’s been hit with a Manchester Smash head on.

Izuku's proud declaration draws out an snort, lowkey amused at the familiar antics. Man this is givin' serious memory whiplash. Deku is pressin' all his buttons for nostalgia and fondness. Bleh. His therapy session deals with enough of his feelings, he doesn't wanna acknowledge anymore. Not today at least.

"He's safe kid." Shit, he's talkin' with Aizawa. This is why he doesn't fuck with his feelings, got his head going in five different directions. "It's Midoriya. Kid got hit with a quirk. Keep an eye on him until we figure out what to do. Or until we inform his mother." His tongue runs against the back of his teeth in slight irritation. Damn Auntie ain't gunna like hearin' this.

"Deku--" his eyes cut away from his phone to look at the little toddler.

"Fuck." He curses, forgetting he's on the phone with his teacher. Aizawa's droll tone doesn't help.

"He got away again, didn't he." His sensei's tired sigh draws him to clench his teeth and hiss.

"I'll find the little shi--" And he's cut off by his teacher's no-nonsense attitude.

"Ensure that you do. I'll head over once I get this all sorted." Aizawa ends the call without another word. Locking his phone, Katsuki's gets to his feet and begins to look around for any signs of that messy head of curls.

Luckily...or not? Hard to tell what's luck in this shitty situation, Izuku helps him out. Storming in the direction of that bright voice, he growls.

"You ain't going nowhere! Get your ass back here Deku!" Seeing him on top of the first step, he curses again. Dashing forward, he's got his arm ready to scoop the little punk by the stomach. It's looking like he won't be able to let his kid out of his sight for even a second.

  if Izuku could’ve anticipated that the not Kacchan would turn on him in anger, maybe he’d have been a little bit quicker. that said, he’s not surprised by how quickly the elder converges on him, his little body caught right around the middle and preventing any sort of escape. it’s his normal response to freeze in fear when something comes at him as quickly as the not Kacchan did.

  ❝  hey!  ❞  he squeals, trying to at least sound a little bit intimidating. it comes out far squeakier than he wants it to.

  huffing, he squirms a bit in the grip, turning his body but finding no luck. why are grown ups always so strong? he can’t break from the not Kacchan’s grip any easier than he can break from his own mother’s.

  there’s only one thing he can think of to do. he’s not intimidating, clearly, but he knows someone who is. he lets a breath out before drawing in a deep one, and then he puts all his effort into an imitation of his Kacchan, barking with a loud vigor,  ❝  let me go!  ❞
