I have a theory. 

Everyone person either has a cat or a dog personality. The cat personality is an independent, withdrawd, introverted person who likes to be on their own. The dog personality on the other hand is a playfull, talkative, extrovert who loves to be social. Every cat personality needs thier dog, to keep them connected to the rest of the world, to help them get out of their shell. And every dog personality needs their cat, to keep them grounded, to help them see life more realistically.

This is why Remus Lupin, a cat personality, fell for the loud, goofball dog that is Sirius Black.

This is why Lily Evans, a cat personality, fell for the cocky, roudy dog that is James Potter.

Every cat needs their dog.

Fandom is a relationship between dozens,hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of fans, and the only way for the greater fandom relationship to function, is for those fans to interact. One way to interact is by writing and reading fanfic. A writer prompts an interaction by posting their work; it is up to the reader to then acknowledge (or not acknowledge).

As one of our favorite blogs, @ao3commentoftheday​, said: [x]

“Comment if you can, but don’t be bullied or pressured into it. A comment should be written in the same spirit as the fic itself: wanting to reach out to other people who love the same fandom as you do. It’s not easy to do that, I know, and I don’t hold it against you at all if you can’t.”

The Only Rule: Be kind.

Be kind to your fandoms’ writers.

Please note that this challenge is to “comment on every fanfic you read and enjoy in the month of January.” As our fandom forebears were fond of saying, “Don’t like, don’t read.” For FaFiCoWriMo, we have taken that one step further by saying, “Don’t like, don’t comment.”

No matter how well-intentioned, critique is useless unless it comes from a place of trust. Unless you know an author personally and they have specifically asked for your critique, please keep it to yourself.

It costs zero of your currency and zero of your time to not be a jerk.

Be kind to yourself.

The hanxiety of it all.

Last night was the Christmas party. One year on from the horrific party where I thought I might lose my job.

I was well behaved last night, probs vented a bit too much about some of the guys in the team, but I think everyone was so drunk they don’t remember it.

I was no where near as bad as others. I made no moves on the guy I like. He made no moves on me. It was fine, it was good.

I am so anxious now though, even though I know nothing went wrong, it’s like I still want to die. It’s just the come down, but it sucks so bad.

I know it’s just the come down, I literally told myself that I’d be anxious today, yesterday before the Christmas party even began

But now I’m in bed, thankfully the cat is still with me and i am so panicked, literally over nothing.
