I just finished De Voltas Aos 15 on Netflix, also known as Back To 15 in English, and I am sobbing. I’ve been crying for 10 minutes, my head is throbbing, and I am bawling that the show is over.

Best way to describe the show is a woman in her 30’s realizing how shitty her life is while at the wedding of her sister. She logs on to her old blog and it transports her back into the past into the body of her at 15. She goes back and forth and seeing what her life ends up being when she makes certain decisions in the past. There’s Derry Girls vibes with the friendship group vibes and the main character, Anita, could give Devi a run for her money in the category of “teenage girl making the worst possible decisions at any given time”.

There’s some pretty good LGBTQ rep with a trans actress playing a trans character and some queer characters. The show is Brazilian so you get a pretty good look at Brazilian culture. It’s also really funny. It starts off cringey but it’s honestly a really good show. The third/final season just dropped and I would say if you need something good to watch to definitely give it a try. I would also suggest, if you can, to watch it in the original audio with English subtitles. The dub does not do it justice.
