“ you stubborn jackass, i’m not about to leave you alone out here! ”

“ you forget. we’re a team now. meaning, i watch your back, you watch mine. ”

You like tea?” She has no idea who this woman is, much less if she’s the kind of woman one should invite into the diner so easily, but let’s be reasonable. Her arm is twitching. She seems hesitant. Everything about her indicates a woman who needs a helping hand.

“It’s freezing out here! Wouldn’t surprise me if you wanted a hot cup of tea. I’ll go this way, you can follow me or you can stay put. I won’t be upset either way.”

Ari was extremely reluctant. She didn’t want a stranger seeing her like this. Mostly she really wanted to get to her equipment to fix her arm. Though this girl seemed sweet. She seemed like she wanted to help Ari. Cradling her arm she smiled at the girl, trying to make it seem like her arm wasn’t in pain. 

“I would like that.”
