"What's it like to be normal?"
"What's it like to be in love?"
"What's it like to be loved?"
(Y/N) had never liked his class.
Whether it be because the girls who fell to their feet just at the sight of him even if he was in a relationship, or the boys flirting with their classmates, or their careless teacher, just being the room ticked him off. He just wanted to leave the class and find a new school. Besides, his assassination skills were superb, and he didn't see the point in even being in school.
He wanted to leave, and that was when a perfect opportunity came along. (Y/N), requested by the principal, was supposed to watch over Class 3-E, and find out why they weren't succeeding in murdering their teacher. In the process, he needed to try himself, and win the money for himself, to make sure that no one else got it.
The thing was, he wasn't expecting to fall in love with someone, all while being in a relationship that restrained him from even being with someone else. All he wanted was to be happy, but nothing works out in favor.
"You heard me. Watch Karma."
"Sir, with all due respect, I don’t have a death wish."

So my first day in 3-E was quickly approaching. Oh who am I kidding, I’m literally standing in front of the classroom, and I’m nervouser than ever. Is that even a word? I don’t even care...
Usually, on missions, I’m nervous. Not this much though! I have three tasks, and one of them is literally to save the planet. There’s basically no chance I’ll actually survive.
It was already loud. I could hear them from behind the door. Something about murdering. Probably related to the teacher.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked behind me and saw a spiked hair man with a depressing look on his face. "You’re the new kid, right? (L/N) (Y/N)."
"Oh, yeah." I acted lazy, smiling politely. "Should I be scared?"
"Oh trust me, you haven’t even been in the class for a day." He groaned, before patting me on the back, "you’ll live."
He muttered a few things I couldn’t hear, before pushing the door open, making a loud noise. The class quickly shut up, a few walking to their seats, others staying put.
Besides the students, the classroom was kind of dusty. A few of the windows were a bit cracked, but none of them were fully broken. The desks looked like they were barely holding up. There were also a ton of gunshots and cut marks on the wall, which I guessed were from assassination attempts. It smelled like dirt, and was indeed in need of polishment. I wonder if I could hire someone to fix this place up...
""Alright, we have a new student. Introduce yourself.” He smacked my back. It felt like he could knock me out if he had hit any harder.
Fake happiness... I’ve got to make them trust me.
"I’m (Y/N) (L/N), I’m from Class 3-A."
Shit, I didn’t have cover story. Why didn’t I think that, fuck.
"I’m here for some reason. I’m not completely sure. I hope to get to meet you throughout this year!" I bowed, smiling at the ground.
That fucking sucked. I’m surprised no one has pointed out my attractiveness yet. Thank the gods...
"Welcome to my class, (L/N)!" I heard a voice speak, and I looked to my side.
There stood a tall, yellow, squishy, octopus, with a large red and black rode. He wore a large smile as he patted my head.
"Woah..." I mumbled, looking him and down, "Are you an alien or something?"
He looked a bit hurt, "Nope! I’m not-"
"Can I shake your hand?” I asked, putting my hand out. The whole class looked at me, as if I had a plan. I was actually curious! Finding a machine like this was rare, I needed to know everything about him!
"May I see your hand?" He asked. I took a guess and assumed someone had used a trick on him with their first handshake. I turned my palm up, also moving my sleeve up. "Alrighty! Go ahead!" He grinned.
"Woah... You even feel interesting!" I beamed, squishing his hand a bit. "What kind of mechanics could get your body to bend like this..?"
"I’m glad your curious, but I’m not a machine." He kept up a smile, but I could see it twitching.
"Hm. Alright! I’ll have to learn more about you later." I chuckled, "Now, where should I sit?"
"Between Karma and Ryouma, you two, please raise your hands." The spiked haired man said, putting a hand on my shoulder and forcing me to look at the class.
My eyes looked towards the back. One of them who I didn’t know had spiked hair, but it wasn’t crazy like the teacher kind of dude. It was brown, with blonde under it. His legs were crossed, resting on the table. The boys in my class used to do that, thinking it made them "cool." It just made them look like bigger assholes. I guessed he was Ryouma.
There was an empty desk, and then Karma Akabane. He wasn’t doing the same thing, but he looked fast asleep, not counting his hand being up lazily.
He looks pretty- shit fuck. Well, I don’t think he has the best personality if he acts like this all the time.
I shoved the pretty thought out of my mind. Sitting down, I looked at Korosensei who was getting out a notebook. I guessed it was rolecall.
"Rolecall! Try to keep the noise down or yell louder!" He shouted. I immediately realized everyone had gotten up and started firing bullets. Even Karma, who looked tired as shit, got up.
It seemed as if he was used to this. Probably a daily occurrence. If they thought they could get him like this then that was wishful thinking. He could easily avoid them, since his body was basically sludge. Did the bullets go through him?
I opened up a notepad, writing down a few things about how people were doing. I had to stay with the mission. I didn’t had a gun, and this was earpiercing. I swear if I become deaf if this when any longer.
"Here!" A brunette shouted over the gunshots.
"Alright, that’s everyone! Guns down, let’s start our first lesson of today!" Korosensei beamed, turning towards the board and ignored the groans of students.
He doesn’t seem evil... Why would he try to blow the earth? Or is he being nice so that students fall for the facade?
I didn’t know what to say. Everyone seemed use to it. Maybe the class had grown to like him? That wouldn’t be good. You need bloodlust to kill someone, not sympathy.
Does he even care about his students? Why is he being nice?
Everything about this was a question. There was something going on, and I needed to get to the bottom of it in a few months. Half the school year was already gone, but I couldn’t give up.
I felt a nudge on my right side, and saw the Ryouma dude.
"Hey, good luck with the class. Everyone here is fucking strong and against Class 3-A." He said to me.
I nodded, "I’m fully aware. I just need to act normal and not start fights. Besides, you all seem pretty strong."
Alright, that was a lie straight out of my ass. If people think spitfire against someone who is going Mach 20 is a good idea, then they probably aren’t strong. Either that or their hiding their hidden strength by making themselves look like idiots.
I’m probably reading into this too much.
I wasn’t even paying attention to what was going on. Two people, a girl with light blue hair and another girl with green hair kept answering the questions. Wait, the blue haired girl isn’t wearing a skirt. Oh, so it’s a guy. Most feminine guy who isn’t a trap I’ve seen.
Then again, he might be a trap. I don’t even know him. The kids in the class looked fairly normal. A few had vibrant hair colors (a girl with sunset hair) but everyone else seemed pretty normal.
The questions were easier as far as I could tell. I didn’t really know the difference. Don’t blame me for being dumb. Everyone seemed to be taking notes, but I was more focused on my daydreams.
"Oi, are you good?" The guy in front of me, with unruly black hair looked at me, turning his body around.
"Just tired. Sorry, don’t worry about me." I nodded.
"Alright. You need to get more sleep, I can see the bags under your eyes." He mumbled, before turning back.
Those... Those are bruises?
I sighed, fiddling with my pen. This class couldn’t have been more boring. Well, maybe. I wish I was closer to the window.
"Bored too?” I heard a voice. Karma.
"Yeah... I just want this to be over with. My classes usually involve yelling, more yelling, and a lazy teacher. It’s gonna be hard to adjust." I smiled, my voice mixed with the perfect amount of sweetness. Thank the lords for forcing me to sit next to him. This’ll be a little bit easier.
"Seriously? Our classes are so~ boring. I already know this shit." He groaned, a pout forming on his face.
"I take it you’re here cause of behavior and not grades?" I asked, glancing at him.
"Got that right. I don’t have any interest in changing anytime soon either." He mumbled. “Hey, you’re (Y/N) right? I kind of ignored your introduction. The girls in this class talk about you a lot." Karma asked me.
"Oh yeah. You’re Karma Akabane. My old class used to gossip about you all the time." I nodded. "You aren’t at all like they said you were."
"What did they say I was like?"
"Not saying~." Maybe if he’s curious, he’ll spend more time with me.
"Hey!" He whisper shouted, "that’s not fair~."
"Too bad. I’m not telling you."
He’s barely like everyone says. Sure, slightly lazy, but he doesn’t seem too strong. He did the same as everyone, recklessly fire a gun. The guy could’ve killed someone!
But he is very naggy. That part is definitely true.
"Hmph. Fine..." Karma rolled his eyes, "you’re nothing like what people say. Everyone says your calm and relaxed, but you seem pretty happy."
"Ah, I’m just happy when it comes to creation like stuff. Sorry if I weirded you out." I bowed my head, moving on the squeakiness of the table.
"Cool. Are you interested in mechanics?" He asked, tilting his head.
"Yeah. I made most of my classes weaponary and gadgets. That’s my main pass time." I mentioned.
"Oh, cool. Mind me asking if you can make some weapons for me?" He asked, muffled slightly from his head being on the table.
"Sure, I don’t mind." I replied.
"And that’s it for today!" I heard Korosensei say, "You guys get a small break."
"Oh thank the fucking gods." I said in unison with Karma. "Jinx! You owe me a coke!"
"Damnit." He chuckled, smacking me on the back. A small whimper left my mouth. "Did that hurt?"
I forgot the bruises. Fuck, did I whimper when the teacher hit my back? Fuck.
"Nah, they’re from a mission for my Class. It was a pretty rough one, considering my target was a millionaire with an alarming amount of bodyguards." I laughed.
"Oo~, that’s gotta hurt. Our class takes it chill-"
"It certainly wasn’t chill when you were recklessly shooting at Korosensei." I smirked, crossing my arms.
"Alright, fair, but usually it’s a lot more chill than that." He laughed, "Oh, you probably want to know, everyone in this class has one strong suit. Mine is obviously assassination.”
"Huh... That’s cool. Most of my class has a strong suit, and then brag about it all year." I mumbled.
"You must really like your class." He rolled his eyes.
"Oh, no. I fucking despise them. All they do is talk about me and my hotness, and then the boys just flirt with girls. Our teacher doesn’t even know half of our names." I groaned.
"Well, that’s teachers for ya." He laughed. "Man, hows Gaku doing?"
"I got fed up with him calling me a small fry so I called him Chan. Anyways, he’s been..." I had thoughts of the last time he threw a knife and missed me by an inch. "Good."
"Huh. Usually he’s whining."
"Oh trust me, he still does." I grumbled, "What do you think of this class? Are they arrogant?"
"Well there are a few tough cookies, but you learn to love their annoying asses." He smirked. "I think you’ll fit right in."
"Hm~? Did you call me hot?”
MOTHERFUCKER fuck you my mouth I hate you fucking mouth.
"That’s what the girls in my class think about you." I smiled, "’Course, I don’t see what they mean."
"Ugh! I’m wounded, (L/N)." He jokingly put a hand on his head, dramatically falling a bit. "I see why people think you’re hot. You have the personality and looks." Karma moved back, before leaning forward and patted my head.
I don’t know why, but getting compliments from him felt different. Not in a bad a way, but in a good way. Usually everyone complimented me on my looks but this felt infinitely better. I’m completely fine with it.
"Thanks..." I hadn’t been this flustered in a long time. Does he always do this?
fuck how long did I take me to respond?
"Aw, that’s adorable! If respond like this to compliments, then I’ll have to do it more often." He laughed. A grumble arose from my lips, but it was obviously unheard over Karma laughing at me. "I think we’ll be good friends." I wasn’t even blushing that much, but he already knew I was embarrassed.
"I-" I was still nervous. Does he naturally have this effect on people? "I think so too Karma~sama."
"Sama, huh?" He looked down for a moment, before looking up, "Alright (L/N)~senpai~."
FUCK why did that sound so... nice! Maybe cause it’s coming from someone who just met me. Totally not because of how hot he is and the fact that he could step on me- fuck, I need to be more calm! This is a mission where my feelings don’t matter!
I couldn’t even finish my sentence before Karma smiled, "That’s your permant name, like it or not!" He laughed.
"Fine." I smiled. "Karma~sama-" I bursted out laughing, "I can’t even say it anymore!"
I heard Karma snicker, before he bursted out laughing. "I win then!"
"Hey! I didn’t know it was a competition!" I couldn’t help but laugh even more. Oh my god, I was mad at myself for not wanting to hang out with this guy!
wait, no! He’s still just one of my targets! I need to make sure he behaves... I can’t let him take control of my emotions!
"Alright, how about (L/N)~Chan," he pointed at me, before pointing at himself and saying, "Karma~sensei."
"But why?" I smiled, attempting to stop myself from laughing.
"Because I’ll be your teacher of this class!" He smirked.
"I’m your teacher of the class, end of discussion." He grinned, taking my hand in his. "You’re gonna be a great student! Think about all the fun we’ll have together!"
"... You’re joking right?"
"Nope~! I’ll teach you the in’s and out’s of this class!"
"Why can’t I just ask their names?"
"Boring~, you need to learn all about them, and lucky for you, you’ve got a cool sensei like me!" He smiled, wrapping an arm around me.
"Fine... Who do I need to know?" I asked, hiding a small smile.
This is quite n- NO- This is annoying. I don’t want to be here... I need to stay with my mission. Play into everyone’s emotions until the right moment.
"Nagisa~kun, come here and meet my student!" Karma shouted, releasing me and waving towards the blue haired boy.
He walked over, bowing his head, "Nagisa Shiota, I’m happy to have another classmate." He seemed polite.
"Isn’t she the best?" He grinned.
"Karma~sensei, don’t tease him." I said. Oh god that nickname sounded weird.
"Wait, how did you know Nagisa~kun is a guy?" Karma looked shocked, "Oh my god, are you a stalker?"
"Hey! No, I just noticed he wasn’t wearing the female uniform. At first I thought it might be just a tomboy, but then I realized the way you adressed him made him a uncomfortable." I said, stating the obvious facts I knew, "it’s basic logic. Assassins should all have it."
"You’re no fun~, (Y/N)~Chan!" Karma pouted, "Yeah, Nagisa’s a guy. He’s top assassin in our class, and totally doesn’t have a crush on someone~."
"I do not like her!" He glared at Karma, before looking at me, "Thank you. Do I really look that feminine?"
"Yup!" Karma interjected.
"Karma~sensei, leave him alone." I bowed, "nice to meet you Nagisa~kun."
"Nice to meet you too." He bowed as well. After that he skipped off, walking towards the green haired girl from before.
"You are a lot like they said... Cunning." Karma grinned, glancing at me. I immediately looked away. "Aw, embarrassed? I thought you were calm~?"
"I..." I didn’t know what to say, "I just don’t take compliments well." That was such a lie. I enjoyed them, and I took them well. It just felt... Weirder when it came out of Karma’s mouth. Is something wrong with me?
"You know, you’re really nice to be around. Thanks for hanging out with me." Karma chuckled, "Nagisa is always busy with his crush, and everyone has their little friend groups."
"Anytime. I tried to avoid my classmates. They all just cared about themselves. So..." I patted Karma on the back, "Thank you."
He was fakily tearing up, "You make me so happy. Thanks (Y/N)~Chan."
"No problem but... Are you using me as an arm rest?" I looked at him. I hadn’t noticed this, I was too busy listening and talking, but I noticed after a few moments.
"Heh, caught me. You gonna do anything about it?" He smirked.
I grabbed his arm. I was almost certain this wouldn’t work. Taking both hands, I forced his back down, making his in a position to look as if he was about to get arrested.
I only used this on my vicitims, but this would also work. I swear to god if I actually hurt him...
I wrapped my arm around his neck, the other hand keeping his hands together. I slowly put my foot into his back, hoping to keep balance.
"Y-Yeah. This." I worked arms into a tighter grab.
"D-Damn..." He choked out. Basically everyone’s eyes were on us.
I swiftly let go, “Did I go too far? Are you alright? Should-"
Another voice interjected, "That was good! Although, making sure you put your lower half on someone’s lower back, since they could potently kick you. But next time," Korosensei’s face turned redish, with a X on it, “Don’t fight each other. You could hurt each other if you do that. I don’t want anyone to die this early."
"Yes sir." I nodded, taking his advice. "Karma~sensei," it still felt weird to call him that, "are you alright?" I quickly turned towards him, putting a hand on his face.
"Y-Yeah." He seemed embarrassed by his loss. "How..."
"I could teach you!" My eyes lit up, grabbing his hands. He wasn’t too much taller than me, but I still had to move my neck a bit to see him.
"N-No!" He was definitely embarrassed by my beating him, "besides, I’m your teacher, and I need to teach you."
Back to his normal self... I might actually enjoy this.
I didn’t correct my thoughts this time.
