USJ Incident: Why it Should've Worked, (with fun gifs to space out the text!)
TLTR: All Might would've been ripped in half if Shoto, Bakugo, and Kirishima hadn't shown up. Nobody can plan for those fighty little monsters. And, despite the whiny tone, Shigaraki not childish to want to leave at first when there was no All Might and Tenya ran to get help, because his point was proved when the teachers arrived and he got shot instantly.
Okay, hear me out here folks. ~takes a deep breath~ It should've worked.
Honestly, ya'll, with the target being All Might, Shigaraki's plan for the USJ had a decent chance. It was not a rushed plan. Right from the top, Shigaraki used the reporters as a distraction to steal the USJ schematics and the class schedule. He knew the layout and who to expect, and had a plan to deal with everyone.
He had Kurogiri to scatter the students and handle Hero 13, which Kurogiri did. A large mob to slow down Eraserhead and tie up students to keep them from interfere, which they (mostly) did. All Might, had he been there, was most likely to go straight for the leaders, aka Shigaraki and the nomu... which, when All Might did arrive, he did after saving Eraserhead.
What's more, All Might, when he did show up, ALMOST lost.
Kurogiri and the Nomu were about to rip him in half when Shoto, Bakugo, and Kirishima showed up. Honestly, 1-A has a bunch of fighty monsters for students, and that's not something ANYONE would expect from fifteen year olds in their first week of hero school!
People (and the show) give Shigaraki crap for wanting to leave when All Might isn't there, especially after Tenya escapes and goes for help, but why would he stay? 🙄 This is basic conservation of energy from the mind of a predator. He's in a high risk area, rescue is on the way, and his main target isn't there. His only loss would be the low-level villains, which are cannon fodder anyway. And he's right to want to run. The second the teachers do show up, he gets shot four times before they even finish their dramatic entrance. THREE TIMES.
So yeah, the plan was a very good for a first time villain debut. Flaws, sure, but the kid just barely turned twenty, give him a break.
I am not a huge fan of angst, but if we want angst let's go all in, happy ending is welcome but not needed. USJ, with Dani and Danny, and Danny gets hit with a quirk that summons the person that hate's you most. And Dan wants to enjoy making everyone hurt. No exceptions, no mercy, no discrimination.
this is hella gory so just read carefully please. Also major character death
also sorry ive been a little inactive, im been busy with a few commissions (which are open if anybody is interested). Hope you enjoy!
-------
It was supposed to be a normal training exercise at the USJ. They were just supposed to learn how to rescue people from Danny's favorite hero, Thirteen.
So why did everything have to go so wrong?
People are saying how dark BNHA got as if the first field trip of the story didnt involve a terrorist attack where the students had to watch their teacher get beaten within an inch of his life.
Hi! I saw a certain someone’s post about you working on a Catzawa fic and I’m dying to know more b/c Catzawa makes for the most fun reads. Are we talking Catzawa from the get go or is Aizawa transformed into Catzawa?
Aizawa is transformed into Catzawa!! Just who did the transforming is going to be revealed later, BUT here! Have a brief little sneaky peaky!!
The villain’s quirk activated. Aizawa felt it in his bones, in his blood, in his tissue and flesh and breath. It felt like fire sliding beneath his skin and into his veins, lancing like needles through his chest, spearing his lungs and heart before crackling like electricity into his brain. His entire body went rigid, back arched, head thrown back, mouth opening in a silent scream.
Joints cracked. Bones snapped. Muscles tore. Ligaments ripped. His flesh boiled and bubbled, rippled across his reshaping skeleton. He couldn’t breathe, couldn’t see or smell or taste anything but red, red, red in his eyes and in his nose and in his mouth—could do nothing but feel, and remember…
Bones splintering in his arms and in his face, the nomu’s grip lead around his wrists and shoulders and elbows. Blood in his eyes; blood streaming down his cheeks and dripping from his chin; blood soaking his hero’s costume to his bruised and abraded skin.
Asui, Midoriya, Mineta watching him scream, hearing him scream—seeing him die.
Shigaraki’s hand stretching out for Asui’s face…
Aizawa dragged in a shuddering breath, regaining consciousness with the jolt of a boot against his side. He felt the air open around him, whistle against his body, tousle his hair. Then a dark shadow reared up in front of him, and before he could react, Aizawa slammed into the building wall. He crashed to the ground with a whimper, a soft mewl tearing free of his throat before he could swallow it.
Except the sound wasn’t his. It was smaller than his voice, higher-pitched, sweet where his was usually gruff and low. More than that, though, he would have grunted at the impact not—not mewled.
He picked himself up, wobbling as he gathered his fumbling feet under him—and then realized, with a jolt of terror and confusion that he was standing on three feet, not four. And then more fear, more confusion, as his thoughts caught up to his mind and he realized he was on all fours, and that his prosthetic was gone, vanished, leaving him unbalanced and swaying.
His body was still slow and sluggish, the drugs they had used to sedate him pounding through his veins in time with his heart and breath. He blinked, dragged in a shuddering breath, looked up—and froze.
Something—no, everything—was wrong.
An Angst EraserMic Headcanon:
The morning of the USJ Incident, Mic and Aizawa got into a pretty bad argument, the reason being Hizashi was being reckless while doing hero work the day before. They were still mad at each other when Aizawa left with his students that afternoon.
Bonus Comfort: The first thing Aizawa saw when he woke up in the hospital was his partner at his bedside, sound asleep.
They may fight sometimes, but they do care deeply about each other. Case in point: Mic making villains' ears bleed during USJ.
villain!deku hc
really didn’t know how this happened i saw a hc or sth with a villain!deku thing in mind, and him saying “missed your childhood friend, kacchan?” or something and now i’m INSPIRED
yeah,,, so i apologize if this is ooc or something bc i’m just going off of that.
after being told that he couldn’t be a hero, midoriya had completely given up all hope.
he saw kaccha- bakugo being attacked by the sludge villain, but frankly, he didn’t care anymore.
he just..walked away from the entire incident itself.
skipping forward a bit, he joined the league of villains. (after running away,, his poor mother.)
they were a little hesitant to let him in, seeing that he didn’t have a quirk.
but oh my, they quickly realized he’d be the brains behind the team from now on.
“what’s this?” they’d ask pointing at his old slightly burnt notebook.
“ah.” he’d say, explaining what it was.
this was really really important information he had.
they had finally forged a master plan.
usj incident.
midoriya was..excited?
he found out bakugo was attending ua, but the rest of the league didn’t really get it.
“midoriya? excited? he’s usually so bland!~ what happened? got a girl crush??” toga would ask as midoriya would just laugh with his now deep voice.
“it’s nothing.” he’d smile.
“places.” kurogiri said promptly after, as they left for the mission.
excited, midoriya was supposed to be a “surprise”
after all, the villains expected all might to be there, and for him not to recognize one of his former fans? odd.
so midoriya had to stay hidden. but he also wanted to hide from silly little bakugo- no, kacchan.
the fight had escalated.
asui and mineta were both still stuck on the boat, confused on how to leave, and not communicating well.
yaoyorozu, jirou, and kaminari were all doing their best, but what if that wasn’t enough.
but..
todoroki and bakugo were going to save the day.
right?
wrong.
as bakugo was about to use his quirk, in his peripheral vision was none other than his childhood “friend”
...
...
...
...
“missed your childhood friend, kacchan?”
he froze
he didn’t know how to react
his breathing was irregular
“b-b-bakugo? who’s that?”
bakugo couldn’t do anything but just look at him.
he began to sweat and lost his breathing.
“BAKUGO!!”
“AAA” he yelled as he got himself together and started going on a rampage, clearly Very anxious.
ok that’s it <333

Chapter 8 (1/2)- Show Me Your Will; Prepare Thyself
___
Soon, my little dragonling…
I awoke with a start, tossing several pillows as a golden white spear appeared in my left, readied at the empty space before my bed. Realizing I was alone, I heaved a heavy sigh before calming myself, folding my wings behind me as my tail swished about my waist. Slipping out of bed, I began my morning routine.
Blonde roasted Kona coffee being brewed as I changed from my pajamas into a plain black long sleeve and blue jeans, my moccasins on and jacket draped over my shoulders. Aaron’s favorite breakfast on the stove as I drank straight from the coffee pot and called him downstairs.
He was… Understandably disheveled. He did not bother to fix his hair, and his uniform was sloppily buttoned. None of my attempts at lightening his mood succeeded, and he remained, for the lack of a more appropriate word, catatonic.
