Getting good at drawing - Day 4 Switching to sketches really paid off since I get to apply some of what I’ve been learning in my free time. Shoulders and necks really got in the way when I tried to draw people because I had no idea what they were supposed to look like lol. I only took a few days to learn the basics of them and all of a sudden I feel less intimidated by them. Getting good at drawing - Day 3 Ok, so you might be wondering about this post because it isn’t a full drawing but a page of sketches. Well, I realized that doing 1 bad sketch a day of course would help me improve eventually but it really limits how much I’m learning from these since, I had to stick to one sketch that could turn out badly. This is really some of the only time I get to draw so I decided that rather than posting full drawings, I’m going to be sketching anatomy and try to improve faster than I would with individual sketches alone. I think there’s an imediate improvement than from just doing full drawings since I’m not worrying about lines as much. I was also thinking that when I get good enough with drawing, it would be fun to post some learning guides here and what I did to improve. Getting good at drawing - Day 2 Wow, I have been really busy these last few days. I barely had time to finish these every day because of college and other life stuff. But here they are now, I’ll be posting day 3 and 4’s sketches as well as today’s later. For day 2 I tried to draw Luffy from memory after analyzing pictures of him. It didn’t turn out well at all but it helped me realize what I should be focusing on. Getting good at drawing - Day 1 So far I’ve only used reference images to draw anything. Starting today, I’m going to draw something everyday with minimal to no references so that I can eventually freehand draw illustrations. These drawings will look so terrible at first since I have no experience freehand drawing and they might make you want to shut your phone off and throw it out a window at the sight of them.
