i think transfems should be allowed to be good at sports.
sometimes a trans woman wins against a cis woman. sometimes a cis woman wins against another cis woman too. yet only one of them is allowed to win without facing consequences.
it's not enough to support transfems in sports if your support hinges on us being bad at them.
Yahhh I have to build Rome. Yup it’s due tomorrow.. noo I haven’t started yet haha is that bad?
I was worried when he didn't rush out to greet me immediately but it was just because he was cozy.
If your system doesn't account for the fact that Parents Are Going To Be Abusive/Neglectful/Insufficient then it objectively sucks I'm sorry I don't make the rules
Monitored bank accounts for those under 18. Requiring parental consent for medical procedures. Parental controls on personal devices. "We won't teach this at school because parents are supposed to address it at home." Anything that puts all of the child's power onto the parents' hand, anything that assumes parents are going to inherently do enough of a good job no one else needs to interfer, every single one of these IS going to be used by controlling, neglectful or unprepared parents and already are, and if the system did not account for that very real, tangible, dangerous tendency, then it's not worth fucking anything. You shouldn't make things "for the youth"/with children in mind if you are going to overlook this painfully common aspect of their lives u_u
me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.
me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people
case study on the idea of misogyny vs transmisogyny and whether these forces are both equally recognized and understood by society, as briefly as is possible:
i call this one “using tumblr as a person of color”
might update with more images at some point

the thing is I just don't think intellectual labour is a special class of labour. I just don't think someone who created an intellectual product like a manuscript deserves the rights to extracting rent forever from physical copies of it more than the person who maintains the printers. I will just never be convinced of this.
Men who talk shit about gold diggers underestimate the grit it takes to put up with an insufferable man, even when money is involved. We should be thanking them for their service like they are veterans.
Really annoying how every slightly sympathetic post to christians is treated with the grace and understanding that op isn't condoning religious extremists within that religion but as soon as I even mention Islam in any tone that's even slightly warmer than neutral,
You guys aren't beating the "we assume all Muslims are bloodthirsty and wildly misogynistic terrorists" allegations any time soon are you...
the worst part about progressive americans is that they live incredibly close to the source of some of the most interesting movements and works in anti colonial history in latin america but they just invent their own idea of anti colonialism from scratch to just mean whatever. between the monroe doctrine and big ag + mining corps you have a laboratory of imperialism on your borders and migrants from those countries regularly in your neighborhoods. like you'll brag to europeans about access to pupusas but know jackshit about el salvador fr.
im just saying this from being indian where a lot of post colonial thought is often stuck in regressive upper caste hindu nonsense, has little interest in multiracialism or thinking deeply about indigenity etc getting to talk to bolivians and brazilians and mexicans was so useful and important to me.
hard cider was invented when someone decided to make beer that tastes good instead of bad
stupid fuckin post. People have been making beer since before they even knew how to write and you think that they don’t like the way it tastes?
damn all that time and it still tastes really bad. huge L tbh
art museum websites when the artist was a communist: ...he continued to paint, despite the fact that every time someone in Soviet Russia made abstract art Joe Stalin would personally storm into their studio and start tearing apart the canvas with his teeth
art museum websites when the artist was a nazi: ...his work flourished from 1937–1945, a time where nothing particularly notable happened, and then he emigrated to the united states where he designed buildings for private universities
