So, I recently moved my white bristlenose pleco Peewee into the tank with Lil' Snoggers (orange male) because she was getting bullied in the big community tank.
Snogs had previously been moved due to being competitive with my other male (Big Sook, another orange male) and this was less stressful for everyone involved. Snogs shared this tank with Peewee's worse enemy Dotty but I swapped Dotty for Peewee and now it's the weenie tank.
Peewee is much less stressed out now and is eating well. She also... Seems to really like Snogs. She previously laid eggs in his tube when they all were in the community tank, and maybe she remembers him being more chill than Sook?? She follows him around and stares at him like a weirdo stalker.
Anyone who says fish are boring or don't have personalities has never met a fish. These guys have the dumbest drama.
The main group are never afraid to have a scrum over an algae wafer or two.
I was worried I wouldn't be able to tell Dotty apart from her mother Sandy, but luckily they're quite distinctive if you know where to look!
Dotty's main features are the continuous stripes on her dorsal fin as well as white "eyeliner". Sandy has smaller spots, and her dorsal fin has a cool spotty pattern, she's also slightly yellow, particularly on her tummy:

I love Tiger Barbs so much
85% if he's hungry, he waits right here with his little snoot ready to nab.
Whoops meant to put this on my main, but since he's on this blog now - meet Beelzebub! He's a 1 1/2 year old corn snake I got back in October of last year. I probably won't be posting about him on this blog but here's a sweet little pic of him before we go back to our regularly scheduled aquarium posting

The 30gallon lives again. I haven't yet teansferred the loaches or Xylem the bamboo shrimp as i want to slowly reintroduce occupents.
Currently stocked with 7 Tiger Barbs. Hoping to go up to 15-ish. I want to get more and bigger/taller driftwood before i transfer Xylem over so she has places to hide and feel safe.
Plants currently are bacopa, ludwigia repens, and a plant i cant remember the name of right now. Really hoping they thrive and fill the tank up, i miss havi g lush ludwigia repens. Its such a gorgeous plant.
When i bought this moss it was mostly as an experiment considering i've heard other people say moss is tricky to keep alive.. Mine is sort of the opposite. Today was maintenance day, and despite me rarely trimming plants, i had to do something before the whole tank was just moss haha. Now i can actually see the scape again.
Moss is one of those funny things where sometimes it either doesnt grow well at all, or grows so well it outcompetes your other plants.
Great looking tank 🌿
When dipnetting in Florida your odds of catching Red cherry shrimp are low but never zero.
It has been a while, and many things have happened. Unfortunately several things occurred regarding the aquariums and we have lost some denizens, including at least one java loach. Im very, very pissed at myself and at things in general but i will be getting the 30g reset and building it up from scratch.
This iteration will be heavily planted eventually. And im planning on getting a big school of tiger barbs. Like 15-20 of them. Along with Amano shrimp.
Ill post pics when theres something to post.
Happy new year 🐟
Catching the whole wheat noodles to put them in the temp tank so i can get the 30g upstairs.
So far i have 3, catching them is THE WORST. Also, i hate stressing these senior citizens out so I'm trying to be gentle but it's so difficult.
Noodle #4 caught!
Keeping my fingers crossed they do good for the hit theyre in the smaller temp tank.

GET ABSOLUTELY SHRIMPED!!!
Our Spectral Friend apparently has had issues with properly swallowing the Bug Bites i have. He is skinnier than I'd like him to be and i noticed that he'll try to catch the pellets, but after a while he spits them out and tries to swallow them again, and loses most of them in the process.
I got him Hikari Tropical fish micro pellets. So far hes been able to swallow them no problem. He'll still hold them in his mouth to soften up i suppose? Then spits them out again, but now hes actually able to swallow them again and actually keep it down.
Acclimating Amano Shrimp
Black? White and BLACK??
Hes making fools of us all...
A bunch of oranges
Ghost said he heard everyone thought he'd turn blue, so he decided to stay white forever. XD
Theres a tiny bit of black in his tail, and black in his front fins it looks like. Weirdo.
