I don't know why anyone doubts Ringo possesses the elfstones. His unnaturally long life for a beatle can't be explained by much else. But what people don't talk about is Paul. I believe Ringo did the unthinkable and separated the elfstones, giving half to Paul in a sexually charged exchange. Obviously it would cause tremendous instability in the world to separate them, but have you looked around recently?
It's crazy how when the Elf Stones were created, they didn't need to be in a climate controlled environment. What has Ringo Starr done to them during their time in his possession??
LEGO SET 21306-2: Ringo Starr & the Elf Stones
I really wish we could have a frank discussion about Ringo Starr and the repatriation of "his" Elf Stones. There have been legit efforts within the cultural heritage sphere as well as parties from within foreign relations to convince him and the legal authorities to seriously consider the rammifications of his posessions of them in the first place and to persuade him to give then back to their rightful owner. He is ofcourse refusing to do so, and like so often, the right of (dubious) private ownership trumps any kind of legit cultural claims. On this he has been quated to have said "[...] the King of Elves himself gave them to me after I tricked him fair and square" and that giving them back now "would be an emberassing admission of being wrong and defeat both [at this point]"! Still, the Elf Stones were not the Elf King's to give in a situation like that, he lack the authority to distribute artefacts like that already back then, and his claim to them are still dubious on several technicallities that should be disquallifying any "legal" ownership of them in the way Ringo Starr claims to have.
Ringo Starr should not have the Elf Stones. And the King of Elves gave them away without the right authority to do so!
So was anyone gonna tell me that Ringo Starr has acquired the final Elf Stone, or was I always gonna have to find this out from my brother sending a tweet?
Not saying this about anyone in particular but I think there'd be a lot more discussion and a lot more controversy if Yoko Ono had gained possession of the Elf Stones instead of Ringo Starr :/
does ringo starr still have the elf stones? i feel like he’s had them for a while but i don’t really pay much attention to that kind of thing
Honestly it’s shameful that Ringo Starr used the once-in-a-century Elf Stones Wish to add that second “r” to his last name. Just boring
