Unironically, Count Binface is restoring faith in democracy: Professional grifter and fascist Nigel Farage called a by-election to distract from his upcoming corruption investigation, only for everybody to step aside due to the farce it was EXCEPT for our saviour Count Binface (who no longer can go by Lord Buckethead due to a copyright dispute), running on a pisstake platform. BECAUSE he is the only other candidate, BBC News and other outlets have to give him the screentime they would normally reserve for the red carpet of Nige, and it's fucking amazing. A cretinous racist who wanted to start this year by showing his party is serious and has widespread appeal as "the party of the people" and that he is "the prime minister we need" is now going to be spending the next three weeks arguing with a bin, who put up 500 quid to run for a giggle, and the best part is that his party of fucking coat-tail riding dead-eyed goons are tearing themselves asunder demanding to know which "leftist agitator" and "establishment shill" is funding Count Binface. Clacton, please. Please elect him

Is Tumblr aware of Count Binface, current hope for our nation?

Let me explain:

Grotesque fascist grifter, Nigel Farage, is the leader of Reform, the racist far right party he created because UKIP got what it wanted (Brexit) and it sucked.

Having tried and failed to be an MP many times (but somehow getting more screentime than any Liberal Democrat or Green politician), he finally succeeded in the last election because people were so overwhelmingly pissed off with the Conservatives, and many right-wing people saw Reform as the new Conservative Party; partly because it's full of rejects from the Conservative Party.

Speculation: he doesn't really want to be an MP, he wants to be a fascist grifter. He's annoyed by suggestions he do things like Be In His Constituency and Serve His Constituents.

He's recently been caught having accepted a VERY large amount of money from some unsavory people that he insists was a totally legitimate 'donation' and not breaking any rules.

Only it did break the rules and it's very clear that it did and things are in motion to hold him to account.

To avoid this, he has resigned as an MP, saying this is a protest at his treatment by the 'establisment' (he is a rich fascist grifter, but he likes to cosplay as a Man of the People). This has triggered a by-election, in which he is standing, with the hope that the people of his constituency will either elect him in a resounding win, indicating they don't care that he's corrupt (having not heard everything the investigation is uncovering), or someone from Labour or the Conservatives will win and he can swan off to America, free to grift again because of what the 'establishment' did to him.

Only, all the major political parties have agreed not to stand, stating openly that this is an obvious stunt and they won't legitimise it. So if he doesn't win, he can't say it was because he was too much of a rebel and the Establishment went against him, he'll just be a loser, which doesn't play too well with the right-wingers he wants to grift. And if he does get back in the investigation will go forward without any kind of 'mandate' from his constituency buoying him up.

But. There is another option.

COUNT BINFACE IS RUNNING.

Count Binface is part of the grand British tradition of joke candidates who stand as a protest option. They usually don't get enough votes to get their deposit back (which is supposed to deter unserious people) but they don't care, because DEMOCRACY.

Of course, Count Binface has never won, but it is hilarious to see a completely serious pathetic fascist concede defeat while standing next to a man with a bin on his head to whom they are democratically equal.

But if nobody else is standing. And if enough people in Clacton-on-Sea are finally cheesed off enough with Farage not doing anything for them, there is just a chance that one of the funniest things to ever happen in politics will happen.

Imagine. Imagine for just a moment that the Grotesque Fascist not only loses, but loses to Count Binface.

People are speaking about how Farage has done fuck all for the constituents of Clacton, ignoring their need for better infrastructure, child care and small business support while he's flouncing about with his vile crypto bro mates at Mar-a-Lago (and that even Binface's national policies would benefit Clacton far more). What I haven't heard anyone mention is the massive possibilities for publicity that Clacton has with Binface!!

Clacton is a tourist town - surely someone can see my vision of tacky souvenir shops filled with Binface merch, a Binface attraction on the pier, Binface BINS on the promenade, etc etc THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS

My hopes for the Clacton by-election in order of importance:

Farage loses - obviously

Count Binface gets enough votes to be refunded the money he had to pay to stand in the election

Count Binface gets more votes than Farage

Farage gets fewer votes than the guy I've never heard of from the "Rejoin EU" party. I don't necessarily want this guy to win, but it would send a strong message to the former UKIP types if Rejoin UK gets more votes than Farage

At least one of three Monster Raving Loony party candidates gets more votes than Farage (I'd love it if all three of them did, but it's a split vote, so that would be tough to achieve)

The guy from the Everyone is God party gets some lessons on how to write concisely and redoes their website so that it's got 50% less waffle so that someone else trying to figure out what their policies actually are has to wade through less nonsense

Ah yes Supreme Overlord of the Recyclons, the only one to save us from the evil Nigel Farage. He's 5,900 years old and i love an older man, he could use his superior technology to take over the earth but that's too much effort so he's doing it the old fashioned way.

I honestly truly love this guy, anything that humiliates Nigel Fascist is a win for me and most likely for Clacton.
