The contents of my fridge and freezer are both a little on the pathetic side of things. My fridge DOES, however, contain lots of eggs and my freezer mostly contains vegetables so pretty much every meal is made up of a couple of eggs and whatever vegetables I can find/feel like eating. Trying to mix things up to keep things interesting... Above is one with potatoes and broccoli and the other is carrots and broccoli. Pretty tasty even if I do say so myself!
ok i teared up a little :(
Just so everybody knows, the mirror is actually more reliable than the camera. Even though people say “the camera never lies”, it distorts your photographs a little bit. It has to turn a 3d image (you in real life) to a 2d image (a photograph) and consequently skews the proportions a little bit.
Also, “photogenic” is a real thing. Certain faces photograph well and others don’t. It’s all down the angles, proportions and size of your features.
Have you ever seen someone stunning who looks great in professional photographs and not in candids? Yeah, that’s because there’s a huge difference between a professional and an amateur. Professionals know how to minimise the issues cameras have. Lighting, angles and even the distance you are away from the camera plays a part (the amount of distortion varies depending on how close you are).
TL;DR if you think you look great in the mirror but not in the photo, trust the mirror. You look great!
NOT ONLY THAT, but when you look in a mirror, you’re seeing your face in motion, how others would see it. In a photograph, you’re still, and it can make small flaws and the like seem a lot more prominent, despite them being quite minuscule in person.
Also! Also, when you see yourself in the mirror you are looking at you face reverse of how a camera pics it up. No face is perfectly symmetrical so you get so used to seeing a mirrored version of your face that when it’s flipped in a picture you subconsciously notice the tiny differences in your face and thus you think you don’t look right.
I have never felt so relieved and beautiful thank you guys

I AM SO BLOODY FURIOUS:
Three-year-old Aboriginal girl left in tears after she is racially abused by a grown woman for wearing her favourite Frozen costume
Samara Muir, 3, had dressed up as Queen Elsa from Disney film Frozen
The little girl wore the outfit to a Disney event in Melbourne
She was racially abused by a mother and her two daughters
‘Black is ugly’ the three-year-old was told by one of the other girls
Samara was so upset she would not go to her Aboriginal dance class
When her mother asked why she replied: ‘It’s because I’m black’
Wow, what the fuck? I’d like to find that racist “mother” and punch her..
Someone ask Georgina Haig to record a message for this girl. Idina, too, but George comes to mind since she’s Australian. (So dead serious.)
I totally understand the whole "didn't realize what I was eating until I was eating it" struggle! It's hard to break habits. But you can absolutely do this! Get that water intake up and make the rest of your day awesome :)
Hey! Thanks! Sorry for a late response - I’ve only just spotted it. It’s safe to say that wasn’t my greatest days. I snarfed chips from the chip shop, too. I’ve been pretty good since, apart from yesterday when I went a bit nuts on salt and vinegar crisps - I can’t normally eat them because they almost always have gluten in them and these ones didn’t. I got a little over-excited! As for the water, I make sure I have a bottle or two in the fridge now. I like water over most other drinks, even as a child.
another reason to love Matt McGorry

Feminism? This has bugger all to do with feminism. Are we just going to ignore the fact that for some women periods are debilitating? For years growing up, I dreaded every single period (between the ages of 11 and 19) because it would be really painful and I would vomit for days. And the fact that that the woman referred to her period as "lady problems" shows that talking about periods and what they do/how they can make you feel is still a taboo subject.
THIS is why feminism is no longer being taken seriously.
A healthier (ish) supper. A gluten free Warburtons thin, a hard-boiled egg, spinach and some cheese. And a packet of salted Kettle Chips. I know, it wasn't supposed to happen after this morning's crisp fiasco. The film finished later than I expected and only Sainsbury's was open and I grabbed stuff pretty quick before my train home. I shall be doing my best to avoid crisps from now on. They are definitely my downfall!
Yuck.
So, I was running a bit late today and I left without eating breakfast. I could -and with hindsight, should - have grabbed an apple from the fridge on my way out. But I didn't. I needed to get cash for the train so I went via the Tesco near my house on my way to the station. Again, I could have picked up some fruit. Instead, I bought - and have now eaten, against my better judgement - two massive bags of crisps (both 120g packs) a bag of Minstrels and a diet coke. This is my usual go-to cinema snacks and I'm not sure I realised what I was doing until I'd already started eating. *sigh* So, now I've eaten everything and drank the coke pretty quick although it lasted me most of 1 film. And now I feel totally gross and a bit sick, if I'm honest. I am a bloody idiot! All that talk of being healthier and making better choices... Ugh! I'm watching film number 2 now with a big bottle of water in a bid to get rid of the nausea.
I need help!
I have totally and utterly fallen off the I’m So Going To Be Healthier This Year wagon. :-(
I make terrible food choices - even though I Am fully aware that they’re terrible - and then I feel disgusting. Ugh.
Tomorrow is shopping day and I’m making a healthy shopping list today. It will probably be hideously hard to do, but I’m willing to give it another go.
Please send positive thoughts and encouragement my way!
I have incorrectly been saying ‘burqa’ when I meant ‘niqab’ for maybe my whole life.

Go away, infection!
I can't wait to get rid of this bloody cold and chest infection! I miss being able to work out/go for a nice, long walk without giving myself a coughing fit or wheezing like crazy.
this is a photo of the most important thing i learned this year.
the placement of the green bobby pin is incorrect.
the orange one is placed correctly. this is the direction the bobby pin should sit when you slide it into your hair.
i’ve been doing it wrong my whole life.
Being a girl is rubbish sometimes...
I'm seven days from the dreaded start of my cycle again. This means I'm eating and craving all the "naughty" stuff. *sigh* Anyone got any tips to avoid this?! Seriously, this completely sabotages my points and it's like I go insane for two weeks. Help!
