- switches that feel like you’re turning into someone else rather than them taking control (non-possessive switching)

- being unable to recognize amnesia until something requires you to remember something you forgot

- staying in the front for weeks at a time

- being unable to communicate with alters internally (this is so common why does everyone act like this is weird?)

- feeling like you don’t have any problems because you feel disconnected from them

- constant denial

- rapid identity, label, and appearance changes

- comorbidities, particularly personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and the schizophrenia spectrum

- autism (there is science pointing towards autistic people being more susceptible to trauma)

It's okay to be wrong about your self diagnosis.

I feel like more people need to hear this.

It's okay to be wrong about such a complex disorder such as DID.

Even medical professionals misdiagnose it.

It's okay to be wrong. You don't need to be right about it.

I honestly do not like to label myself as a "DID system", I rather just use the term "system" alone (because I want to open up the possibility of OSDD-1) or just say "questioning system/pwSuspecDID (person who suspects DID.)"

Because, I will never be 100% sure. And there is also a chance I could be wrong or have OSDD-1 instead. And that's okay.

It could also be BPD, or whatever else. Maybe I don't have a disorder at all.

And all of that Is okay.

You don't need to be right about your self diagnosis.

If you're not 100% sure, that's okay too. I am not sure about being a system, either!

But the only thing I ask of you is to do proper research. That's all I ask.

Don't let people tell you that what happens in your system is wrong and faking. Everyone is different. If you treat your headspace as if it was a real place, so what? Does it hurt someone? No! Have fun, you've been through enough already and you don't need to worry about if you're faking or not. You have typing quirks? So what? As long as you're being respectful and giving translations, you're not doing anything wrong! Your littles don't speak 'normally'? So what! If it's how they talk, it's how they talk!

I genuinely can't stand pop psychology I'm not an expert on this stuff but the damage it has done to the general public's understanding of mental health and psychology must be notable. People with low empathy are evil. NPD is The Abuser Disorder. here's how your partner is subconsciously manipulating you. OCD is when you like cleaning. If you ask him a question and he looks away for one second he's lying to you and abusing you. Follow for more dark psychology tips. Letting my intrusive thoughts win and dyeing my hair. I thought this guy was into me I'm so delulu. Anyone who comes to you with their problems is traumadumping and abusive. Anyone who gives you gifts is lovebombing and abusive. Being neurodivergent means Liking Things. Neurotypicals don't like things. They are empty shells without feelings. Neurodivergent means ADHD or ASD. What, BPD? Schizophrenia?? That's not very quirky or fun. And that's what neurodivergent means. That's just weird. Being mentally ill isn't an excuse to be weird. Only Evil People manipulate and abuse. There are certain people who Are Evil by nature (people with NPD) and they Will abuse you. Loving someone means it's impossible to abuse them only Evil People Who Hate You are abusive. Maybe we shouldn't be telling people to end themselves, actually. I don't care if you're pro endo, anti endo, endo neutral, say you're endogenic in origin, willogenic, anything. No one should be telling anyone to end their lives.

They need to grow up and not get an emotional boo-boo every time they can’t be part of a community formed out of shared struggles, struggles they literally don’t have

You don’t “make” your system. You don’t “choose” to be plural. Use different words for it. Make your own community. Don’t try to loop it in with actual dissociative disorders because it’s just harmful.

The aggression comes from the fact that this is literally hurting people, both those who are systems and those who aren’t. Please be more educated and respect a community you aren’t part of.
