Dancing With My Own Shadow by marvellingyou Art By: HeyBoyDraws
Once a week, without fail, Steve Rogers visits his departed beloved’s grave. While he dreams of the past and wishes that time had been kind, Bucky Barnes, owner of Blooming Aster, is waiting to lead Steve towards the future. [Masterpost]
Isn’t it Ironic? (Don’t You Think?) By imhereforgaysuperheros Art By: Huntress79 & HeyBoy
Bucky is used to his daughter bursting into tears in the middle of department stores. What he isn’t used to is someone braving the wails and actually being able to stop Becca’s tantrum in its tracks. Oh, and he’s also not used to that someone being Captain America. AKA, how Steve Rogers calms a screaming kid in Target and falls in love with two more Barneses than he had bargained for.
Fixing Myself to Find You by ThertiaDragonslayer Art By: WitchyLurker
Post-Endgame Steve Rogers discovers that his soulmark has some in. This would be amazing after waiting almost 100 years for them, except it came in when he was doing humanitarian work, so he has no idea who it is. Bucky Barnes is a one-armed engineer who isn’t sure what to do after the dusting of half the earth and the returning of them all. So he goes soul searching, but not soulmate searching after finding his mark lit up in his new temporary housing. Will they find each other after therapy and soul-searching? Only time will tell. Also, there’s lots of cute animals. [Masterpost]

Inside Edition by romanticalgirl Art By: Huntress79
No one’s gotten an interview with Steve Rogers since Captain America was found in the ice. Bucky Barnes has, thanks to a previous article on Tony Stark, gotten a month-long, all-access pass to the life of Captain America. Along the way, he also meets Steve Rogers, and learns that even though they look the same, sound the same, and are the same, they’re two very different people. [Masterpost]
Salt by Entwinedlove Art By: Dinogiveafuck
In his last semester of an Engineering degree, Bucky takes an elective class about Unusual Soulmate Marks, mostly because he has one. To cheer him up after the first day of classes, his friend Abby suggests doing a magic ritual to reassure him that his soulmate is out there waiting for him. What he learns from the ritual sends him veering away from the safe, boring life he had planned. [Masterpost]
Living Just To Breathe by emptydistractions Art By: elanatria
All Steve’s ever wanted was to help people. And ever since they fished him out of the ice, that’s what he’s been doing. In fact, that’s all he’s been doing. In a world that he doesn’t recognize anymore, it’s easier to buy himself in his work than to face up to the ghosts of his past. Maybe avoidance isn’t the healthiest strategy, but it’s all he’s got. All Bucky wants is to keep his city safe without some big, blonde idiot trampling all over his plans. Ever since the Avengers rose to fame and SHIELD moved in, that simple task’s been getting harder and harder, and he’s about at the end of his rope with it all. Neither of them have ever been especially good at compromise. (Or: A story about two heroes who hate each other. Until they don’t.) [Masterpost]
The (Not so Little) Mermaid by Destiny_Rain_Evans Art By: Raynaki
Bucky Barnes, the son of a rich CEO and local failure, has 99 problems and mermaids are every single one of them. Specifically Steve Rogers, the so-called “noble” and “glorious” mermaid general, who washes up on the beach close to death. After Bucky drunkenly saves Steve’s life, the wounded general insists on repaying the life debt. What Steve and Bucky don’t know is that under the waves an ancient enemy is waiting for the general to return. And if he doesn’t go to it, it will come to him. [Masterpost]

Bucky is 37 years old; he’s unmarried, hasn’t had a Sub of his own, is definitely not ripped, comfortable at his job as an Advanced Practice RN at Brooklyn General ER, and just got his Five Years coin from AA. Steve is 26 years old; he’s unmarried, his last and only Dom has Alzheimer’s, he’s worryingly muscular, uncomfortable in his job as the government’s poster Alpha for masculinity and strength, and worries more than he should about his BMI. Unfortunately, Steve and Bucky meet initially in a not-cute moment. Bucky’s tired as shit thanks to the sudden alien invasion that shook New York and Steve is tired as shit because he hasn’t slept more than 20 minutes at a time in – well, since 1936, probably. Bucky’s Alpha instincts get irritated at the sudden presence of another “Alpha” into his territory and Steve’s suppressed submissive tendencies latch onto this grumpy bachelor Alpha and he only suppresses it further. Bucky’s grumpiness and Steve’s duckling impressionism aside, both of them are a mess. But since both of them are a mess? Their messes seem to fit pretty well together. [Masterpost]
Closer by LilyInTheSnow Art By: WitchyLurker
Bucky doesn’t need Natasha and Clint trying to set him up with an Alpha. Again. The last few had been utter disasters and he’s not at all interested in the new one they bring up. He’s not. Especially so close to the full moon and his heat. He just wants to go to the herbalist and get his tea so he can stave off another heat and be left alone. He doesn’t need an Alpha. He just kind of wants one. And the one that he kind of wants is the herbalist. [Masterpost]
The Void by KeyWolf25888
Steve has woken up to a world that doesn’t need him any more – that replaced him as Captain America, and has forgotten about him. Watch him try to live life as a civilian, and navigate a relationship with a man who has no idea of his true identity – until, at least, his old life comes knocking. [Masterpost]
Whadda Freakin’ Jerk! A New York City Love Story… a Sequel? by bunnymaccool Art By: tallihoozoo
Steve Rogers has spent his entire life lonely while being surrounded by people. But this time he’s dealing with it in a completely unfamiliar world. He just wants someone to belong to. Que the smart-mouthed asshole he meets randomly in a coffee shop, their slightly volatile courtship, complete harassment from his teammates… and the worst timed alien invasion ever. A Fishy Deal by QueenoftheRandomWord42 Art By: esaael
James Buchanan Barnes was a man of many talents. He was a fantastic shot, could speak several languages, was skilled in a few martial arts, really passionate about space and science museums, Fuck Buddy of Steve Rogers, and was a proud owner of a few betta fish. Things changed when Bucky’s sister charged in to talk to her brother and wound up inviting Steve to the wedding as his plus one. But Weddings bring out the best and the worst in people, will their relationship survive? “What just happened?” Steve asked as he ducked back into the bathroom. “I think you just got invited to my sister’s wedding in my ex-boyfriend’s stead…” Bucky said blinking.“
Nobody Likes Unsolicited Dick Pics (Except When They Do) by Blondi_Bluue Art By: Lasenby_Heathcote
When Bucky Barnes accidentally sends a dick pic to a wrong number while looking for a little action, he never expected to get a positive response. Feelings are caught, drama ensues, things work out in the end
Walk It Off by Thatswherethelightgetsin Art By: Fannishlove
Steve is, somehow, still alive when the fighting finally ends. Again. Which is good, everyone keeps telling him how good it is. And it’s not that he doesn’t agree, not that he didn’t want to make it through the latest round of horror. But, he’s starting to think that while he may not be dead, he’s not really alive either. He’s not sure he ever really was. Bucky is just the guy that lives a few doors down from Steve and occasionally nods at him when they pass in the corridor. That is until a mix up with the mail makes him wonder if he might be more, might be the spark he needs to actually start living. But, predictably things are never that simple and Bucky might be more than he seems.
