A Trick? Bah! Not Even A Magic Trick... | Reaction
His eyes were cast downward, hat slightly tilted forward, a broken man for all intents and purposes. He looked defeated, as if he had lost a great war, as if he had learned he had contracted a fatal disease. Soon his shoulders were shaking, bouncing uncontrollably, and small muffled sounds could be heard coming from him. Was he going to be alright? Was that… laughter?
Suddenly he threw his head back, his top hat barely maintaining it’s place on his head. A booming laugh echoed in the quiet room, and a small tear formed in the corner of one of his eyes. What the hell was wrong Chuckles the Clown over here? In time the suited man slowed his laughter, wiping away the tear and sporting the cheesiest of grins. This bear was so stupid that it was actually funny.
"Oh wow, do you really expect me to believe all of that? Puh-LEEZE! That was one of the dumbest performances I have ever seen. I’m not gonna lie, the last speech you gave was semi convincing, but everything else here is a logical fallacy! I mean I pieced together that there was some kind of ruse on our first day, and you think that you can come out all high and mighty like this was all suddenly the idea of a 2 foot bear? Actually 2 feet is kinda generous here, but whatever.”
"Alright, let’s think back to the problems with this airport. It actually all started the moment we got here: The departures. We were never allowed into the departure zone, at all. That includes before Usami got her phone call saying we weren’t gonna leave. If we were to arrive and leave at our earliest convenience, and it was close to our time to go, why was that section already under lock and key? Would it not be simpler to, I don’t know, actually let people into the area with planes?”
"There’s also the rooms and gift baskets. I can understand thinking ahead for water and chocolates, I really can, but an embroidered towel? That isn’t a last minute decision, that’s something professionally made, or someone had enough time to learn how to do it themselves. And cell phones? Who would even think of that? Not to mention that those cards were loaded with money (that we can’t spend right now I believe) from Hope’s Peak itself: Why is Hopes Peak giving us money when they could instead just be flying us out to their academy?”
"And what of the people? This airport is extremely popular amongst those in higher social circles, and yet in our entire week here, I haven’t seen anybody who wasn’t a student. Am I expected to believe that Hope’s Peak was preparing for a crisis so great that they rented a whole airport for it? No, not even the whole airport, there are still places we can’t go! Does anyone have a problem with my theories?"
With that the magician turned away from the bear, giving all the students a challenging look of curiosity. Did anyone really want try and defend this bear and his ridiculous killing prank? It was all so mind-numbingly stupid, trying to get people to murder each other. Who would ever do such a thing?
