[[ temporary hiatus!!

Ugh, I knew this was coming and I knew I would get really busy. But for right now, I'll be going on a hiatus until further notice!! But I'll probably come back on when school is over and when work has calmed down a bit. Right now, school and work have prevented me from coming on here, and by the time I get home from work I'm too tired to honestly do anything (pushing almost 40 hours per week) , and school right now is loading up with tests and presentations I need to prepare for. I'm really sorry for not replying to the people who have replied to my posts, and I'm thankful for the people who waited so patiently for me to respond. I'm sorry, I kind of underestimated how busy I'd become towards the end of this semester. Thank you for everyone who were patient with me, and hopefully you'll be able to wait just a little longer haha;; I'll see everyone later, I hope.

"Four new patients, huh? So then, what's your name and tell me about yourself. And have you repressed anything lately you wish to talk about?" Hope shifted her eyes from her clipboard to the four people standing in her temporary 'office'.

Ah, so she didn’t trusty him yet. Her actions made it obvious. She’d probably been in the same situation countless times before, and with people who weren’t willing to follow up on their pledges to not be threats. That was the sad state of the world.

"Masaru Oshiro. Once a champion of trivia, now an archivist of the same."

She seemed to be putting herself in a position to get away, so he’d have to prove himself a bit better than that.

"I used to be SHSL Quizbowl Champion, back when Hope’s Peak still existed. Does that cut it?"

Hope pressed her lips into a tight line. A former student? What was someone like him doing all the way out here? She figured any remaining Hope's Peak Students were either dead or were working with the Future Foundation. She furrowed her brows. 

"What...what are you doing in a place like this?"

It didn't make sense. She shifted her arms in front of her, folding them protectively across her chest. He mentioned something about rebuilding, but...? She couldn't make heads or tails of it. 

"There are SHSL Despair..." She said softly. Hope wanted to laugh. As if she had room to talk. She was one of the those supposed people. But she wasn't interested into helping or destroying people, she couldn't figure how it would help someone or not. She frowned. 

"You should leave, Masaru. It's..." Hope swallowed thickly. "It's not safe."

Rescuing people….Not his forte.

But Victor just couldn’t let this innocent girl lay there and bleed.

From what he could tell, someone had hit this girl on the sidewalk. Was it from a bike or a person, it was hard to tell. But she was almost unconscious.

Without wasting time in asking, he scooped her in his arms, running.

"Look, just stay with me…Alright?"

What... what happened? She didn't know, everything was a blur.

The world was spinning and everything hurt. She could taste copper in her mouth and her head was pounding furiously. It felt like her head was going to split open from the pressure. Hope inhaled sharply. Was...was she moving? Her body felt numb but the position she was in, was someone carrying her?

Her chest hurt. 

Hope inhaled sharply, struggling to open her eyes. Everything was blurry. She couldn't make out the face of the person carrying her. She shut her eyes, turning her head into their shoulder. 

"Who...?"

Whoops. She wasn’t getting up, she was scooting farther away from him. All pretentions dropped, and he grabbed her arm to try to lift her to her feet.

"Don’t worry, I’m not here to hurt. I’m here to rebuild. C’mon, get up."

It hadn’t occurred to him that the girl was part of SHSL Despair. Most of his experiences had been with the militant side, so a member of the organization that would just curl up and crawl away was entirely alien to him. All he saw was an innocent citizen worried that he was a part of the organization.

He did want to return home as fast as possible, but he couldn’t ignore this person. After all, he was working for hope. Not helping a person when he’d knocked them to the ground was contradictory to his mission. Knowledge could bring hope, but so could a few actions.

She indulged in the stranger helping Hope to her feet, and then she wrenched her arm from his grasp cradling it against her chest. Her lips pressed into a fine line. Her eyes surveyed him over twice. Once to get a good look at him and then the second time to make sure he didn't prove to be a threat like he said. 

There had many people before him saying the almost exact same thing and they had ended up assaulting her in some form or fashion. She wasn't stupid. Hope kept her distance, shifting further back to where she pressed herself against the wall. 

"W-Who are you?" She managed out. Her voice was a little hoarse. It had been too long since she even spoke to someone.  Someone sane anyways. Hope shifted her arms behind her, definitely keeping her distance. He didn't look like the others, not the ones who had fallen into despair. He didn't give off an air of hostility. 

He said he was here to help, to rebuild. She wanted to laugh. How... how could you even possibly rebuild anything? With these people, in this place? The faster he left the quicker she could go too. 

She shifted a little further along the wall, ready to bolt at any given opportunity, granted it would present itself anytime soon if she was lucky.

Uhhh, sorry for being absent everyone!! I know I've been gone for like almost a week, but I'll be back in gear tomorrow! Work and school have been kicking my ass and I have two tests this week, so I'll be back on once those things are done and over with. I'll get to replying to everything too! "Oh so your from France as well?." The painter brings herself a smile as she hears about it, it was pretty great for Cateline that there were some French Students in this Academy…so far, there were a few more than she expected, which it was pretty awesome in her opinion.

"Ah, but i see then, its pretty nice to see student’s from other places heh…"

"And oh!, well…My name is Cateline Dunois."

A small smile played onto Hope's lips. She bowed her head a little bit, giving Cateline a curt nod. "It's nice to meet you Cateline." She gave a small chuckle. Hope placed her clipboard on a nearby table, and settled herself on a stool, crossing her ankles. Her elbow propped on the table with her cheek resting against her knuckles.

"It is rather refreshing to see how diverse this place is. I originally assumed this place was somehow excluded to the Japanese, but there are so many people from around the world."

Hope shut her eyes for a brief moment. Humming softly, she opened her eyes again turning to Cateline. Her small smile was still on her lips; perhaps she was a bit more relaxed compared to when she first entered the art room. 

"Where were you born in France? I was born in Marseille."
