༄ pairing. park jihyo x fem! reader
synopsis. you swore to always help jihyo no matter what she was going through - but just maybe, this time she'll drag you down along with her. and maybe you want that. or maybe you just want her to be happy.
ꕀ content. longshot -> angst/smut/mental health. generally not suited for audiences - 16. talking of self harm via eating disorders, anxiety attacks and brief c/tting. religion and religious trauma. internalized homophobia. situational homophobia. based on the song 'sailor song' by gigi perez. implied cheating. mentioned COVID era!
notes. this took ages to write because writing about my darling bbg like this is generally so painful.
Park Jihyo’s hands would lace, intimately, in your hair as you hovered over her.
She laid beneath you, a sprawled out beauty with crimson hair going in each direction– like a halo of roses around her head. Her chest rose and fell with quick, short breaths. Her mouth, bruised a soft red, had its corners lifted into a gentle grin- the smallest hints of her teeth poking through. An adorable grin. She was beautiful. Park Jihyo has always been beautiful to you.
“Well?” She’d whisper, all giggles as her face scrunched up. “Aren’t you going to kiss me?”
“Yes…” You’d breathe, smiling along dumbly with her. “Yes, I’m going to kiss you, Jiji. But… let me admire you first.”
An embarrassed hue would overtake those pretty features, and the other girl would clear her throat and nod softly. “Just don’t…take too long.” Would come Jihyo’s breathless whisper. Her head would slightly turn away, shying from your adoring gaze. The way you looked at her… caused a thud to form consistently within her chest.
“Pretty.”
She’d look back then, giving the tiniest, shyest smile. “Yeah?”
“Hm, yeah.” You’d laugh in response, leaning down. Almost comically, her pretty eyes would shut in anticipation- and she’d slightly lift to meet you. “Dork…”
And your lips would ghost upon hers, like a phantom touch in the middle of the night. She’d suck in an intake of breath, hands tensing in your hair. The moment your lips finally met the leaders, she’d relax all together. Her hands would move down, arms wrapping around your neck and pressing you closer.
“Jihyo–” You’d rasp into her kiss, feeling an effective heat swell in your tummy.
The way it always did when she kissed you.
Pulling from the kiss, Jihyo leans back with tiny pants. She breaks out into a smile. “Do I have you flustered?”
Her laugh. Her pretty, pretty laugh. Your heart swells in your chest, and you lean back down to bury your face in her neck. “You’re so fucking pretty, Jihyo.”
The leader blushes prettily and softly smacks your arm. “Language.”
“Seriously?”
“Yes, seriously!”
“You’re unbelievable,” You pull from her with a grin. “I’m on top of you right now, and you’re worried about my language?”
Jihyo pauses, gazing at you practically sitting on her lap, before a smirk takes over her face. “You are on top of me, huh?”
You groan. “Oh my god, you’re such a weirdo.”
She giggles in response, eyes shining. “Don’t say that.”
“What?” You find yourself smiling, hand coming to hold her face. She nuzzles into it like an oversized cat, and you swoon. “Don’t call you a weirdo, my little weirdo? I think I’ll call you whatever I want…”
Jihyo pokes her tongue out, touching your hand and making you squeak away as she laughs. “No, you idiot. You shouldn’t say oh my god, it’s bad. Just say oh my or something.” She rests a hand on your hip and gives a gentle smile. “Okay?”
You huff, still wiping off your hand– onto her shirt. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Shut up and kiss the pretty girl on your lap.”
“Oh, so now you’re calling yourself pretty?”
“Thin ice, Park.”
“Oh? My last name? How scandalous…”
She feels you grumble, before your lips are back on hers. Her hands rub your hips, subconsciously, but she’s hung up on what you said. Kiss the pretty girl on your lap. Girl. She quickly pushes the thought to the back of her head. It’s okay. Right?
She wasn’t doing anything bad…
-
“How many times do we need to have this conversation?” You pleaded with the now brunette haired girl. Months into this, and you were already seemingly pulling away from her. “Jihyo– the girls aren’t going to care–”
“It’s not about them caring, it's–” Jihyo seems to gasp for words, looking away as she holds herself close, away from you. The kitchen is far too tiny for two. “What if they slip up? And then the managers hear, and then they tell the supervisors, and then–” She struggles for words. “...my parents?”
Her heart sped uncomfortably at the thought. Oh no. If her parents found out– they’d no doubt be mad. There was no way they’d accept the things she’d been doing…with a girl. Setting a horrible example for her sisters. Ruining the family. Becoming a disappointment. Oh no. Oh no, no, no.
“Jihyo?” Your brows would furrow toward her. “Hey? Are you listening? That won’t happen.”
“How do you know?” She pleaded back, looking at you wide eyed. “How do you know all of this won’t come back to bite us?”
“Because–” You stammer. “Jesus, Jihyo- we aren’t the first lesbians on the planet, we can figure it out–”
“I’m not-” An expression you’ve never seen on her face before comes up. It was masked disgust, as if the very thought of that label made her want to puke. Her chest swells with an ugly sensation, as she forces out the words. “I’m not a lesbian.”
You scoff. “Well you certainly aren’t straight.”
Jihyo’s eyes waver. “Stop talking so loud,” She dismisses, peeking out from the kitchen and towards the girls in the living room, grouped together over movie night. Slowly, she looks back at you, waving a hand. “Look, it’s not easy for me like it is for you, Y/n- I-I’m not…that way.”
Now it’s your turn to stare wide eyed. “That way? Do you even hear yourself right now?”
“Of course I do, but that’s not the point…!” Jihyo swears quickly, furrowing her brows. “Look, I’m not doing it, okay? I’m fine how we are. Just…us. No labels, no…sexualities. As long as we’re us, it’s fine.”
You stare in confusion. “What the hell are you even saying?”
The leader pinches the bridge of her nose. “I’m saying if you want to keep this up, then don’t…say anything to the girls.” Her face turns sympathetic, and hesitantly her arms wrap around your waist. “Look, I’m sorry. Things are just– we’re fresh out of debut. It’s too soon, don’t you think?”
Well, no, you didn’t think that.
“...Alright,” You whisper, dejectedly. “Fine. But I’m only giving you a few months, okay?”
“Okay,” Jihyo nods softly, sweetly. She’s so damn pretty. “Kiss me.”
You can’t help but bitterly interject. “Are you sure? Jeongyeon could walk in–”
“Kiss me, you idiot.”
Finding yourself sighing in response, you do nothing to stop her when she closes her eyes, and softly moves in.
-
Somehow, a few months turned into a few years.
Your hands are laced in her shortened hair, freshly chopped for the new YES or YES comeback. The brunette in question had her hands on your thighs, holding you around her body as she pressed you to the wall behind the both of you. Her nails were digging in and your skirt was pushed up, pants from her lips cooling your bruised ones in a sensation close to the brink of pleasure.
“Baby…” She’d whisper, pulling away and hesitantly bringing her hands to your shirt. “Please?”
“I-I…” Truthfully, you’d been verbally telling her it was okay for months, neither of you had acted on it though. Your voice caught in your throat and Jihyo’s face turned sympathetic as she pressed a kiss to your cheek.
“We don’t have to…”
“No- no, I…I want to.” You shake your head. “Please. I really want to. I want you to…to do the things you’ve said you wanted to do to me…please.”
She softens, swallowing and whispering. “You’re sure?”
You give a final nod, and Jihyo’s lips are pressed again to yours. Her hands rub up your thighs, climbing up your body until she reaches the hem of your panties. She pulls from the kiss, taking in a breath as her hand dips to rub subtly over the cloth– and you physically shiver. Jihyo’s eyes flick up, and she pulls you into another warm, sticky kiss.
Her hands feel like clouds, her touch featherlight. She merely rubs slowly, feeling the way you tremble. Listening to the way you whimper against her lips– until she rasps out, into your mouth. “Y-You’re so…” She seems almost embarrassed. “Do I feel…that good?”
“Like heaven.”
Her heart aches. Just another reminder of what she was moving further from, as she indulged in you.
“Don't…” She sucked in a breath. “Don’t mention that while I’m…”
Your eyes flicker open and meet yours. “Jihyo, come o–”
You’re quickly silenced as her hands rub over a particularly sensitive spot, swirling you there and making your thighs shake at the sensation. “Do you like it right here…?” She whispers, so damn innocently. “You shake a lot when I rub here…What if I…”
Her fingers rub downward and back up your panties, watching as you let out a whimper and press your face into her neck. “J-Jihyo…” You whisper, body trembling in her grasp. “Please don’t tease me, not right now…”
“S-Sorry,” She whispers, swallowing. “It’s different then…then when I’ve…–”
She doesn’t speak it, but you know what she means.
“Yeah well…” You press closer, tiny whimpers leaving your lips as she continues to rub the same sensitive location. “I-It’s different than…doing it to yourself.”
Her breath sucks in. “Don’t say it like that,” She whispers, shakily. “Y-You…you’ve done it then…?”
“Of course I have, everyone has…”
Guiltily, Jihyo nods at that. She…had. On a whim.
She didn’t expect it to be more pleasurable than her Sunday activities. “We…really shouldn’t, you know.”
“Jihyo–”
“Right, sorry,” her brain was too fuzzy from your whimpers and moans in her ear. “I’ll um… touch you now.”
Her hand raises to the hem of your panties again, and she sucks in a breath as she slowly slips it under– only to gasp out the air she’d just breathed. Her eyes widen, comically, and Jihyo’s fingers tremble as they’re brought down– meeting you with a gentle caress. She finds your clit first and gives it a test rub, watching as you jolt and clutch onto her harder.
“...Right there, please–...”
“Okay…” Jihyo whispers, nodding quickly as she swirls the tiny ball in her finger, giving a hesitant press as a test. Your thighs flinch, before pressing together quickly like a vice around her arm. Jihyo grunts at the feeling, finger slipping off of your clit and accidently dipping into the warmth of your wetness. She gulps, audibly. “B-Baby–”
“J-Just…keep going.”
Nodding with reluctance, Jihyo’s fingers rub through, until she reaches your entrance. “I-I’ve never…um, made it this far.”
You groan, knowing she’s not meaning to tease you like this, but still feeling so immensely pent up. “J-Just…fuck.”
“Language.”
You ignore her, pulling back and squeezing your eyes shut from the feeling. “J-Just put…a finger in, Jihyo– Jesus Christ.”
“D-Don’t say that–”
“Jihyo.”
The brunette shuts up with a flush, frowning as she tries to angle her finger the right way– before it delves in fully. A gasp comes from both of you, and Jihyo quickly pulls out. “I-I-”
“Keep going, please…”
And slowly she does. Jihyo’s mind is mush. She can’t even focus on the task at hand as she sloppily fucks you. Her heart hammers in her ears. But not because the idea of doing this is so foreign, and so fun to her. But because…
Was she supposed to feel this conflicted during sex?
Did you…feel like this too?
“T-Too much…!” Your head shoves back into her neck as your legs spasm. Jihyo regains her consciousness and quickly stops her fingers, not even registering that she got you to finish that quickly.
“S-Sorry,” Jihyo quickly pulls her hands away, moving to grab your hips and softly hold you. That heavy guilt she feels is still there. “Didn’t mean to.”
“It’s…okay,” You whisper, shakily. “It’s okay. That was really…god…”
There it is again.
Jihyo’s head feels heavy.
Maybe you…didn’t think like she did. Maybe– maybe when you kissed her, you didn’t taste regret on the tip of your tongue. Maybe it was just Jihyo. Damnit. Was she messed up?
“I love you…” You whisper into her skin, panting as you nuzzle her.
Jihyo’s heart tugs. “I love you too, baby.”
Fuck.
-
“Jihyo? What’s wrong?”
The brunette softly snapped out of whatever…yeah, she was in, and looked up to her Mom softly. “Nothing, sorry. I’m just not hungry right now.”
Jihyo’s Mom crinkles her brows at her daughter, frowning softly. “Are you sure honey? You and the girls have been working non stop recently. Please, eat…”
“Mom, I-” Jihyo sighs, knowing her mother won't budge. Begrudgingly, she picks up her utensils and picks up bits of her mother’s home cooked dinner, eating softly. But even as Jihyo eats little by little at her meal, her mind is elsewhere. The elsewhere in question being you, naturally. It has only been a week since…
“I sure hope you aren’t avoiding your food intake again-”
“Mom-”
“I’m just saying!” Her mom defended. “We don’t want another repeat of everything that happened when you debuted. We were lucky enough to have that Y/n girl there to help you.”
Jihyo physically softens. Her mom was right, they were lucky to have you there.
-
"Why isn't Jihyo down here yet?"
Bent over the toilet lies the girl in question, one arm clutching her stomach for dear life as the other holds onto the base of the toilet like it's about to leave her at any second. A sick, nauseous feeling is swelled up in her gut, remnants of bile coating her mouth in a vividly disturbing taste. The smell was much worse, making Jihyo lightheaded everytime she sucked in a breath.
But what could she do?
She was permeating a sticky sweat on her skin from the force of her heaves— her body overheating under her overly large, baggy clothes. It was useless. Jihyo was useless. How could she be so stupid? Jeongyeon had begged the girl to go out to dinner with her, and stupidly she let her empathy take over. One binge later and now she regretted it.
As another wave of sickness hit her, her mouth opened; chapped lips parted for more fluid to leave her body and smack into the already growing slop in the toilet bowl. God, it was sickening. But she couldn't help it. She had to get it all out of her. Purge it.
Damnit, the girl cursed in her head, stupid.
Jihyo couldn't afford to be so reckless with how she ate. She'd finally slimmed down her thighs enough due to her hours spent in the gym, and now she was going to gain it all back. That wasn't what was supposed to be happening. Jihyo was supposed to be working on her face— getting rid of that persistent youthful fat, shaping and carving her features in all the right ways.
Maybe if she was lucky enough, she'd be able to sweet talk JYP into letting her get a surgery or two.
All to look prettier.
It was all to be prettier.
Everything she did, had a reason.
Carving lines into her thighs when she binged. Stuffing her fingers down her throat, slamming her fist into her stomach, swallowing tons of warmed salt water— all to purge the food within her. Her work was paying off.
One pound.
Two pounds.
Six pounds.
Ten.
She lost weight constantly, and was even steadily approaching the one hundred mark. And now she had fucked it all up again. Stupid girl. Insolent. Idiotic—
"Jihyo?" A voice called from the other side of the bathroom door, knocking gently. You.
“I-I’m getting dressed!”
“Oh!” Your voice was heard with the softest giggle afterward. “Sorry, well— can I come in?”
Jihyo flushes. You idiot. “Are you crazy?”
“Jihyo,” You chuckled from outside the door. “I’ve seen you change countless times, it’s okay.”
The bile began to rise quickly again, and Jihyo would fight it back with an audible gulp. “I-I…not now, baby…”
You’d gone silent on the other side, and then, without warning, opened the door. “Fuck,” Was all she heard, before the bile rose back up and fell into the toilet ahead of her. “Okay, okay…uh..”
You had shuffled all around the room, cleaning up the mess of Jihyo’s life.
Her eyes failed to watch you.
Shaky and disoriented.
Jihyo heard the door click and lock shut as you shuffled, coughing and gulping- most likely at the smile that permeated.
“I’m sorry…” She whimpered, slowly. “I’m so sorry…”
“Don’t apologize,” You’d reassure, flushing down the layer of vomit in the toilet in order to get fresh, clean water. It didn't take long for the girl to fill it up again as you cleaned.
Eventually, her heavy, tired body was lifted up and Jihyo leaned against the counter. She felt a stinging sensation as you handled the cuts on her body— pressing a cloth wet with something that held a strong smell. By the end of fifteen long minutes, Jihyo’s body was bundled up like a baby seal in its layer of white fur. She had bandages over each wound, a tylenol gently fed to her with a bit of water- and was being helped over to her bedroom.
She heard you shut her bedroom door, briefly. The familiar sound of the girls filling her ears and muddied voices.
“Don’t bother Jihyo for a bit.”
“Is she okay?”
“Just don’t, okay?”
Her head was swimming in soft nausea, but she heard the door open and shut again, and forced her eyes over. “…Y/n/n?”
“Yeah baby,” You whispered, walking over quickly and kneeling beside her. “Yeah. It’s me. Don’t worry, okay?”
Jihyo couldn’t help but sniffle. Your hand came to hold her cheek, and she whimpered out. “I’m sorry…” She whimpered. “I-I didn’t mean to…”
“Baby,” You whispered weakly, shaking your head. “It’s not your fault…it’s not your fault, okay? It’s not…it’s okay…”
But Jihyo didn’t think it was okay.
She couldn’t help it.
Her eyes filled with tears again and she whimpered, leaning forward and crying softly as you thought her into your neck.
-
Jihyo sighs and runs a hand through her hair. Yeah. She was lucky to have you alright. But indulging in this… this sick desire of hers…— was that…was that even okay?
“Hey, are you even paying attention?”
Her vision snapped back.
Oh, of course.
Her girlfriend was in front of her, hands working at her shirt. And she wasn’t in her Mom’s house anymore, she was at her apartment. Her back was pressed against the wall— and her mind was foggy with a soft amount of alcohol.
“Yeah, baby…” Jihyo husked, softly. “Sorry.”
She didn’t miss your soft frown. “Everything okay? We don’t uh…”
“No, no,” She shook her head, looping her arms around your waist and pulling you in. “Come on. I want to…”
You fumbled a bit, flushing. “O-Okay…”
Jihyo tasted like roses and warmth when she pulled you back in, lulled you back to the rhythm of her spell as your feet fumbled up the stairs - layers shedding with each step. Warm breaths and soft whispers of affection, until her back pressed to the bed and you sat a top her, watching with heavy eyes as her head fell back under the soft stroke of your fingers against her core. Her panties were dampened with arousal, her pretty neck on display as she whimpered and shifted under each rub.
She was gorgeous. Ethereal and beautiful and perfect, and-
Your fingers raise, softly tapping her lips. "..open."
And she does, with wide eyes. The digits slip over her tongue; making a weak moan escape. The sight is wholy erotic and you almost feel in over your head as she gets them nice and wet, pulling off with a soft pop and guiding your hand down as her free one loops your neck and brings you down lower.
"Kiss me, baby."
And for once? Jihyo forgets. She forgets the bad memories, and the voices of her mother and her own self doubt. Because there's only you. And your slicked fingers that brush past the barracade of her underwear, to her. And Jihyo's head is falling back, sweat beading at the top of her head. Your kiss is long sloppy, hot and wet against one another. Weak moans, breathless praises. And something more. Jihyo's words forgotten in the air.
"J-Just like that.."
You break the kiss to bite her jaw, finally marking her as yours. Kisses and nips and bites. Jihyo whines, pressing up into you as you explore her body, making warmth explode like crackling stars in your wake.
"M-Mmph..coming.." It's breathless and urgent. Soft slaps to your back as she tenses around your fingers. "Y/n..!"
And when it's over, Jihyo whimpers against you.
You slip wet kisses down her warm chest. "..More."
And she softens, sighing and cradling your head.
"...Okay." She breathes slowly. "Make love to me, Y/n."
-
"Who's Daniel?"
Your arms are crossed, but the weight behind your eyes reveals your nerves. Jihyo had been making dinner, her hands busied on the counter top. She froze at the name, turning and looking at you with widened eyes. "...I- I don't know..?"
"That a question or a statement?" You lean against the doorway, brows perfectly furrowed in on her. Jihyo's never appeared as frazzled as now, heat rising to her cheeks in a way that makes your stomach churn. The girl in front of you swallows thickly. "I've just... been hearing stuff-"
"You believe everything you hear?"
Her tone is quick and snippy, and you bristle. "What's with that answer?"
Jihyo scoffs. "Well why are you interrogating me-"
"I'm not interrogating you-" Your eyes widen in disbelief at her tone. She's gotten defensive but never like this. "Why are you so defensive? Who is he, Jihyo?"
Her cheeks blaze. "He's no one- he's- a friend. Okay?"
Jealously flares nastily in your gut. "A friend, huh? Because that's not what everyone else is saying. They're saying the two of you have been together for a while now." Jihyo quiets. "And when I asked the girls, no one could look at me. Why is that, Jihyo? Huh?"
For once, she looks away.
Your heart sinks. "Are you cheating on me?"
"N-No, I..." She shakes her head, guilt swimming with her upbringing. "You and I aren't even together, Y/n-"
"What?"
Jihyo freezes, making the mistake of looking to you. You're trembling in front of her, disbelief and hurt etched into your gaze. She's never seen you like this. Not during the last few years of hardships you'd gone through with Debut and the group. Jihyo sputters.
"We're-...messing around, Y/n N-not- I can't be with a girl. I..want a family-"
Despite trying to explain herself, the words feel like thick, heavy tar in her throat, and she can barely push them out. She quiets, watching as you nod tightly, reaching to rub your eyes.
"Y-yeah. Right. Not together."
"Y/n, I-"
"Save it." She flinches back, and you look to the ground, swallowing thickly. "...I'm staying over at Nayeon and Momo's tonight-"
"Y/n-"
But you've turned. You've left her. Jihyo's phone pings with a message from him, but she can't even bring herself to answer it. She...loving you was wrong, being with you was wrong, stringing you on like this was wrong but - ...why did you walking away feel worse?
-
But-
The lockdown provided the worse sense of solitude known to man.
And you had to return home. To Jihyo.
Walking inside felt stiff and void of air. The apartment you'd known only home in, only memories, only her. You'd expected it to be rid of your photos, of your touch. But you found it the same. The photos of you on the wall. Your touch still lingering in the living room as if you'd never left - the seats and chairs and everything that you'd picked out together.
Jihyo stops at the last step, finding you.
You'd seen each other, of course, due to TWICE. But even still you hadn't talked unless necessary, and despite her attempts, you'd stayed string.
But now?
You felt like a sailor returning to sea.
Jihyo was your sea. Every changing, ever beautiful, ever free. And you were merely tied to her waves, drifting across her like a warm touch. Her eyes brim with salty tears, and your arms part. She takes her spot instantly, folding into your touch with a slow sigh.
"I missed you.."
Your hand laid against the back of her head, holding her tighter.
You'd be drawn to her continuously. You knew that.
Jihyo pressed soft kisses to your neck, tugging you by your shirt in a soft, insistent manner to the stairs. And you'd follow.
She was your siren. Your song. Your call.
"Let's lay down..."
You nodded wordlessly, sighing into her hair.
When Jihyo's back pressed familiarly against her bed, she sighed and looped her arms around the familiar slope of your neck, breathing you in.
"My love..hold me, please."
And you'd nod.
As her hands laced intimately into your hair, with you hovering atop.
The same way it had began.

The couch is cold, leather against your face as you lay there numb, eyes freely releasing tears. Sniffling into the emptiness of your living room, reliving memories of you and your best friend’s last night of hanging out together.
—
“Chae! Let’s gooooo!” screaming from the edge of the sand. It’s 3 in the morning, humid as hell but she wanted to go to the beach. Her stress from her schedules made it hard for her to relax and you just wanted to see her smile.
God, her smile? She radiated diamonds when she giggled. Glowing and sparkling, refracting pure joy into everyone who saw it. It melted you instantly every time and she knew that.
Chaeyoung runs from your car, black sweatpants too big for her and your hoodie swallowing her whole, catching up to you and linking your arms together. Now she’s the one tugging you to the shoreline as you find your spot on the rundown lifeguard stand.
Studying the carvings of initials into the salt-soaked wood, taking your pocket knife out and getting to work on a new addition while Chae lights the joint carefully, taking a long drag and then passing it to you.
“Do you ever think about what the future holds?” exhaling the smoke as she stares into the waves from her seat on the rickety railing.
Joint hanging out of your mouth, looking up at her in awh, trying to actually hear what she just said. You were mesmerized by her, always.
“Y/n? You okay?” Glancing over to you with concern in her big brown eyes, knowing you had something to say and giving you the opportunity to speak your mind.
Panic flashes through you, pulling from the joint and then passing it back to her, trying to figure out what to say as she pokes you to tell her why you’ve been stuck in your own head.
“Yeah I’m okay.” melancholy laced in your words, continuing to carve a heart big enough to fit initials in, almost dissociating into the deepened grain of the wood. Imagining what life would be like with her as your girlfriend, you sigh heavily and she catches that too.
“You’ve been off for weeks…are you going to tell me what's up? I thought we told each other everything…” looking down at her hands and watching the smoke cascade off the joint before snuffing it out to relight later.
“Chae…” looking up at her again, immediately enthralled by her soft expression towards you. The care in her eyes visibly tracing your frame, waiting for you to let out what you’ve been holding in.
“I…like you.” immediately shutting your eyes and returning your attention to the carving trying to escape the discomfort of having just told your best friend of years that you had romantic feelings for her.
Through your peripherals you see her rotate to face you, expression dripping with grief, watching you chip away at the heart with your blade.
“Y/n…I’m kind of…seeing someone.”
—
Tear after tear falling from your eyes, face not even contorting at them anymore. The night you stopped speaking to Chaeyoung flashes in your mind at least three times a day, so the sting isn’t new but reliving that night definitely rubs salt into the wound.
It’s 2 in the morning when you decide it’s time to go to your favorite getaway location for the first time in about a month, wanting to create a new memory there by yourself so you can heal that part of you.
Rolling a joint for your adventure as you set off, trying to escape the sorrow of the wound that keeps reopening.
—
Arriving at the parking lot and parking in your usual spot, you sit for a second. Sniffling and ruminating in the disdain you were feeling for the crisp ocean air, taking in the changes to the setting around you.
Hedges still line the sides of the parking lot, a few palm trees sway in the breeze, beach roses consuming the foliage even more than before, blooming in the moonlight.
Stepping out of the car and walking over to the flowers, you smell the rich sweetness they give off and go to pick one for yourself, only to be pricked by the thorns immediately.
“Shit!” dropping the flower instantaneously, thorns sticking out of your finger. Pulling them out one by one under the moonlight, dripping blood onto the rose on the floor, staining it with the sanguine colored liquid.
Putting your finger in your mouth to ease the bleeding, you head towards the tranquility of the beach and the familiar place, the lifeguard shack, to be alone with your thoughts.
Climbing the slope and viewing the graffiti, more initials than before etched into the frame of the small shack that was raised off the ground to avoid the water.
The heart you chipped into the paint a month ago has someone’s initials in it that you didn’t put there…suspiciously, they’re your initials.
Perplexed by this, you try not to assume who added to your art installation as you light your joint, attempting to burn the ends evenly so it doesn’t canoe. Something you were never good at, that’s why Chae was always in charge of the weed.
Pulling on the joint as you stare into the sea and think about how much you miss her. The long silly conversations, the meaningful moments, the way she always got you a little snack when you were grumpy, her knowing your coffee order by heart, and it was understandable she did. She was your best friend.
Always showing you unconditional love, even through telling you about her new boyfriend, your memories slip back into the night you last spoke.
—
“Y/n…I’m kind of…seeing someone.” whispered to you through the waves, words causing a small wind within you, taking in the information that makes you nauseous.
Humidity sticks to every part of your skin, hiding the sweat from the rush of adrenaline when your hands start to shake. Seeing someone? Who? She hasn’t mentioned someone to you…
Spiraling at the thought of someone else taking that place in her life. Why hasn’t she mentioned her? Why wouldn’t she tell you about seeing someone? Weren’t you important to her?
“Y/n?…can you say something?” eyes shifting down at the floor. She knows what you’re going to say, just needing to hear it from your own lips before she assumes your next course of action.
“…I don’t have anything to say…” through soft tears you were hiding from her. They drip against your will, unable to hold them back when she gets up to hug you from behind. Hands on your stomach, cheek on your back and eyes closed, sniffling with you through the sadness.
“I don’t want to lose you…please say something…” the crack in her voice ruins you, reflecting the fracture she just chiseled into your heart.
“Who is it?” reverberates through your torso to her ears.
Chaeyoung can hear how shooken up you are, lungs quivering as you try to keep your breathing slow. She’s known for a while you felt this way, choosing to ignore it because she didn’t want you to vanish from her life because she wasn’t ready, only to assume you didn’t feel the same way now.
“I don’t think you truly want to hear about him…” replied coldly, still holding you tightly, unwilling to release you.
Heartbeat now racing at the pronoun she just laid out for you, realizing she was gripping you so tightly so you would run away from her.
“Him?! Chae I thought you we-” unhooking her from your body with some effort so you can face her, eyes drowning in your tears without your consent. You wipe the streams on your face, emotionally exhausted and sleep deprived.
She winces as you do. She knew this day was coming.
“Y/n, please just let me explain.” somewhat begging for you to hear her out, pulling on your sleeves and looking up at you, peering into your soul, framed in sadness.
“I’m happy for you…Can we leave?” flatly falls from your tongue.
“Y/n, please…” begging for another moment with you.
“Chae, I want to leave.”
—
It rings in your ears.
“Y/n please…”
Hearing it clear as day in your mind. You haven’t heard her voice since that night and thinking about it just pulls at your heart strings, playing the melody of regret for words unspoken.
Back against the front wall of the guard station, sliding down slowly until you were firmly seated on the ground. Pressing the filter of the joint to your lips and pulling a huge drag before you ash on the floorboards, watching the breeze sweep away the dust of gray and white.
Calm quiet waves and the weed comfort you through the ache of not having her around. Chest always swelling at the thought of her, wondering if she was happy, wondering if she remembered to eat that day…does he treat her right?
Sighing into the darkness, another pull, another ash, another gust as you sit in the depths of your emotions. Allowing your brain to take you through your thoughts of Chaeyoung without resistance.
“i was hoping you’d show up here eventually…Is this seat taken?” cuts through your mind's eye like a cleaver, startling you. Looking over to see a pair of familiar pajamas and an oversized hoodie, black hair flowing down from under the hood.
Those big brown puppy dog eyes glancing down at you, seeing your disheveled state, studying the faint tear streams down your cheeks and the small wet circular water marks on the floor beneath you. Pouting at you…Chae always hated to see you so sad. Especially because of the decision she made to date someone that wasn’t you.
Unsure of what to say, you just raised the joint up to her- extending an olive branch, a peace offering.
This made her absolutely beam at you, taking her place next to you and happily puffing away at the joint, giving a satisfied shimmy of the events currently taking place before plopping down next to you in the wooden floor.
Unable to contain yourself, you giggle as your body finally lets you relax. She was here, everything was going to be okay…right? Even with a false sense of security her presence gave you, you wished you could shake the feeling of missing her.
Exhaling quickly and turning to face you, making sure to make eye contact as she nudges your shoulder playfully.
“I missed you, dummy.” through the smallest smile you’ve ever seen, she was just too precious and you were completely wrapped around her finger.
“I missed you too…how are…things?” hesitantly questioning how her life was going, worried about the answer.
“Better now.” pulling the joint again before handing it back to you carefully. You wished she wouldn’t do that. Implying that you improve her life when you know who she’s calling every night before bed.
Shifting your focus to anything but what she just said, fixating on her hands, tracing over her finger tattoos with your eyes before grabbing the joint between your own fingers, lightly putting it out.
Feeling her energy was almost enough, the decompression of your muscles from just being near her was substantial enough to push the devastation away, even if it was temporary.
“How is he?” reluctantly flows through clenched teeth, oozing jealousy and spite.
“He’s…good.” tapping her fingers against her knees as she curls within herself, knowing you’re only asking because you feel obligated to. Knowing you’re hoping for a different answer.
Nodding your head and biting the inside of your cheek, fiddling with the ankle cuff if your joggers and trying to keep yourself seated. Discomfort sneaks in, thoughts of her being happy with someone else being a wave of nausea, imitating sea sickness as you wobble a little in the feeling.
The signs of your care for each other was always there, you were just too nervous to face her about them and she was anticipating you making the first move. There were plenty of moments to do so and you just couldn’t bring yourself to say anything sooner. Locked in your own fear, ruining your own chance.
“Can I ask you something?” Chae's curious eyes peeked up at you while resting her chin on her knees, a pout placed on her perfect lips.
“Yeah.” refusing eye contact out of a familiar fear, wondering if she was going to ask where you were or where you’d been.
“Why’d you stop taking my calls?” cheek now resting on her knees, you can see how she’s trying to calm her breathing through the difficult question. Never being one to ask them, hating confrontation but she had to know why you took so many steps back from her. She just need to hear you say it.
A deep breath, eyes shifting anywhere but on her. How were you supposed to tell her the truth?
“I…uhm…didn’t want to talk to you.” little lies through your clenched teeth, grinding away at your heart like sandpaper.
“Don’t lie to me.” Chae’s brows furrow as she lets out a little annoyed shriek. It’s hard not to giggle at her when she makes what she would call her “angy” face at you. It’s too cute to be considered “angy.”
“Fine.” Sighing heavily and turning to face her, hands roughly running down your face as you prepare to tell her what she definitely already knew. Swallowing roughly, deep breath, and go!
“I stopped talking to you because it’s hard to see someone else making you so happy…I wanted it to be me…and with how we are or I guess were, with each other I thought that’s what you wanted too.” attempting to not sniffle as the tears trickle down your cheeks again, stinging your eyes and adding to the salt on your face.
Feeling a warmth on your right side and the pressure of a head resting on your shoulder, you lean into Chae and continue to silently cry a little harder.
Tears staining her hoodie as they fall, a hand reaches around you and holds your waist, lightly scratching in an attempt to comfort you.
“You’re right, you know.” matter of factly uttered through the breeze of the early morning hours surrounding you.
“About what?” lifting your head to look at her while she elaborates on what she means.
“That is what I wanted…I just didn’t think you wanted to try because you never said anything or reacted when I dropped hints” nervously from her shaky lips while her own tears fell, her face now matching yours in the same sorrow.
“What? When did you drop hints?” confusion layered your words heavily, racking your brain for Chae’s attempts to show her feelings, completely oblivious to any hints she might’ve dropped along the way.
“Come on, don’t pretend like you don’t remember. I would always hold your hand, cling to you, cuddle with you…we even made out a few times over the years.” frustrated at your lack of knowledge, even though she never blatantly told you the level of what she was experiencing.
“Chae, we were young…I thought you were just an affectionate person or that it wasn’t serious. Like how Sana is?” a weak attempt to defend yourself from not making a move or telling her sooner.
“Sana likes you.” cold, flat tone, maybe a hint of jealousy uttered from her lips, body language shifting to show a little discomfort.
“What?!” complete shock consumes you, trying to take in the overwhelming amount of data you just received.
“Yeah, that’s why I never invited her to hang out with us after the first time…I didn’t want her to be that close to you” grief weighs her voice down to a whisper, the confession fresh even after years.
“Chae why would yo-” hands cupping your face almost immediately. She presses her lips on yours, tears mix into a painful spiral of what could’ve been between you.
Stiffening at the contact, you aren’t really sure what to do at the moment. Fighting to not lean into it, but not wanting to pull away either. She pulls away for a second to look at your face before placing one hand on your hip, pulling you into her, laying her lip on you again.
Not being able to help yourself after years of pining, you melt into it, quickly turning heated as she slides her tongue in your mouth. Her hands feel so comfortable on your skin, wrapping around your waist under your shirt, fidgeting with the hem of your pants laid on your hips.
Pulling away to press her forehead against yours, her hand descends down into your underwear before she whispers into your mouth.
“Is this okay?” eye contact is absolutely excruciating, completely drenching you in the dream you were living. Nodding your head aggressively and pulling her back into you for more.
The passionate make out session she started completely derailing into a full blown hook up, moaning into her while she’s gathering your wetness on her fingers to make small circles on your clit, eliciting more of the sweet sounds she wished she heard years ago.
There’s no way you’ll get caught here, it’s almost 3 am and the sounds of the sea will cover any noise you make so you allow yourself to be loud for her so she can see how badly you need her and how badly you want her.
Chae slides a finger into you, eliciting a gasp that she swallows whole. Curling her fingers up, you’re grinding into her palm and chasing the pleasure she knew she was giving you.
Breaking from the kiss, laying her lips down your cheek to your jaw and then to your neck. Biting down on your pulse point coaxing more whines from you.
“That’s right, baby, let me hear you,” softly spoken into your ear before she ran her teeth over your lobe, tugging at the skin, and resting her chin on your shoulder before whimpering when she felt your hand rubbing into her over her sweat pants.
Suddenly pulling her finger out and replacing it with two, she takes your hand and pushes it into her harder so you can feel how wet she is under her sweatpants.
“Can I..?” half moaned, clenching around her digits tightly, pressing into her so the seam of her sweats hits just the right spot.
“Not yet, gotta take care of you first” whined into your neck, still pumping her fingers deep into you at a steady rhythm, you thrust into her hands as you feel the knot tightening into your stomach.
“Fuck, chae…I’m gonna cum” hips sputtering, let out a string of obscenities and moans out, next to her ear.
Chae immediately removes her hands from you, kisses you and stands up, unable to look you in the eyes.
“I’m sorry.” walking away and down the slope of the life guard tower, leaving you to figure out your feelings and question everything that’s ever happened between the two of you and wondering why she would fuck you just to leave you here feeling unloved and unwanted.

“Do you think dinner will be weird?” Sana asks from the passenger seat of your car as you pull into the parking garage in front of Jihyo’s apartment building.
“I don’t think so. At least I hope it’s not. It’s been a while since I have seen her, so I can avoid her through conversation with everyone else.” putting the car into park and looking over at your lovely girlfriend of a few months.
Her eyes soften, she knows the details of what happened that night at the beach. Sana knows how detrimental that memory is to you, but it was Jihyo’s birthday and you were a good friend. You weren’t going to miss it because of Chaeyoung.
“Alright, Honey. But if you get uncomfortable, please let me know. I don’t want you to put your own mental health at risk for the sake of a small party, okay?” Placing her hand on your cheek to make sure you keep eye contact with her.
Putting your hand on hers, you move it over and kiss her palm lightly. She giggles at you, before leaning in to lay her lips on yours.
“Thank you, baby.” smiling at her after pulling away, getting out of the driver's side door and walking around the other side to open hers, offering your hand out for her to hold while she steps out of the car, intertwining her fingers with yours and squeezing softly.
—
“Oh my god! Y/n! It’s been so long!” Jihyo runs at you and envelopes you in a bear hug before giving you a once over, taking in how you’re glowing and happy.
“You look good!” knowing the last time she saw you was when a week or two after the beach incident. You didn’t have to tell her what happened for her to understand who it involved and why you were distraught.
“I’m so happy to see you and that smile of yours again. Thank you for dragging her out of the house, Sana.” giving a wink and then passing you off to the others, giving them a chance to greet you.
Everyone gave a similar reaction to seeing you as Jihyo, except the one person you expected to barely interact with. A small wave behind an even smaller smile.
“It’s good to see you.” eyes on the floor, hands awkwardly fiddling with themselves, feet shuffling and biting the inside of her cheek. Her anxious tells were showing in full force and you weren’t the only one to notice it.
Sana places her hand on your lower back, rubbing small circles to soothe you through this uncomfortable exchange.
“Good to see you too, Chae.” before stepping away to gather with the rest of the girls to start the birthday festivities, finding you and Sana’s seats next to each other with Chaeyoung placed at the complete opposite end of the table.
—
Stepping outside for a second to get some fresh air, being too full to even think about the discomfort of Chaeyoung being within such close proximity. You lean against the railing of the patio taking in the calmness of the night sky when the door opens behind you and closes softly.
Without even having to look, you already know who’s present behind you. A long sigh expels from your lungs, you know what’s coming.
“We broke up… I broke up with him…I’ve been trying to get into contact with you since the night after…the beach.” stated before you could even blink.
Finding a place next to you on the railing, she pulls out a joint and lights it before trying to hand it to you. Politely declining, she takes a few pulls and then speaks again.
“After that night…I couldn’t get you out of my head. Every time he touched me, I wished it was you.” Glancing to see what emotions were present on your face, finding stoicism where love used to be.
“I blocked you that night, Chae…can we not do th-” she pushes your shoulder to open up your stance and takes a step towards you, getting close to your face trying to initiate something more than she should.
Tilting her head lightly and leaning into you as you take a huge step back from her, you tell her the absolute truth.
“Chae, we can’t do this. More importantly, I don’t want to do this. You had the opportunity and you wasted it. You used me that night at the beach for your own selfish gain and then left me there…alone. Cheating on your boyfriend and ruining our friendship on the same night…I don’t want to date someone like you.” stern in your words as you relive the night in your mind, again and again. Still grieving the past.
“I thought the love we had was pure and I’m trying to keep that memory alive so please, don’t remind me of what you did.” Stepping towards the door, pulling it open as fast as possible. You needed to get away from her. Now.
“I’m sorry.” muffled by her tears and the creaking of the hinges as you try to run away when she grabs your wrist and places something in your hands, not bothering to look at it before leaving her outside.
Not wanting to show your emotions to Sana, you rush into the bathroom before she can see the state you’re in.
Closing the door behind you and flipping the bright fluorescent lights on, you look into your hand and see a dried up beach rose that’s stained with dark crimson. You stare at it as you remember the thorns, looking at the tip of your finger where the scars were from that night.
Into the garbage it went as quickly as you saw it. Splashing cold water on your face, arms locked, leaning on the chilled porcelain sink trying to collect yourself so you can be present for the rest of the party when you hear a knock at the door.
“Baby? Are you in there?” the sweet voice warms your heart, as you turn the knob and crack the door to let Sana in.
“Oh, honey” immediately grabbing you to hold you while you silently sob into her. Rubbing your back and telling you that you were safe but you couldn’t help but keep wishing it was Chaeyoung. Always wishing it was Chaeyoung .

thinking about having my soaked panties rubbed in circles achingly slow and soft until a loud slap is landed on my oversensitive clit, fully throwing me to the edge, squirming and shaking, whining, trying to hold myself back from letting go. feeling my folds being spread gripped by strong fingertips only to watch how i twitch and throb uncontrollably, panties gripped on the side, coaxed into calming down, staying still and good for more because there's yet much else i have to take <3

YOU DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TIME OR DAY IT WAS. you sat in the lone basement, dust in every corner, light coming from a little window to the side.
the tears didn't stop, they only intensified when you heard the click of the basement door and the sound of her footsteps echoing down the stairs as she came near.
"you're still crying?" ha sooyoung scoffed, leisurely trudging to you. she crouched down to your level, thumb coming up to wipe your tears as she cupped your cheek.
"why don't you listen? i only love you!" you broken voice cracked, sobs reducing to sniffles. you looked up at her through your wet eyelashes, eyes glassy and red.
"do you? do you really love me as much as i love you?" she asked condescendingly, tilting her head to the side, her bangs framing her face perfectly while you were distraught on the inside and out.
you meekly nodded. sooyoung found the sight adorable, you looked so vulnerable, so naïve it made her coo in her mind. her hand raised itself to your hair, harshly pulling at it.
you shrieked, your hands trying to pry hers from its tight hold on your hair. she didn't budge, her expression remained calm. "please." you whimpered in pain.
"if you really loved me you wouldn't have left with him, but you did." she tightened her hold, snickering as you desperately clawed at her hand, face scrunched up in pain.
"he took advantage of me, i was drunk!" you exclaimed between choked sobs. the dim light that entered the room shone on her face, providing enough reflected light for your eyes to see the distatefulness she held.
"so many excuses you have, sweetheart. lying is easy for you, isn't it?" she finally left your hair and stared as you slouched down, palms trying their best to soothe your burning scalp.
"i.. i didn't, i swe—swear, youngie." you whispered, the sweet nickname you always used flowing off your tongue. she'd heard you call her that for the first time since she left you here in the cold basement.
sooyoung felt her stomach do the thing it did many times when you were around, she knew you didn't do anything wrong, it was a mistake. you were drunk off your mind that night.
however, all her eyes saw were you leaving with another guy's arm around your waist. she didn't see the many shots you took beforehand, or the drugged shot he gave you at that time.
the image of you leaving with a man, not a woman, not her, with a man. it was etched in her mind. you were supposed to have a girls night with your friends, that was what you told her when you kissed her goodbye.
you'd exclaimed the same sentence that you were drugged, you didn't cheat on her, yet she wasn't keen on listening. had she not been so controlling, you wouldn't have had gone to party.
your friends had been complaining that you never went out with them, you knew they were right. the thing was, sooyoung didn't like when you left her alone much.
you'd moved in with her around a year ago, ever since then, meeting your friends, hanging out, going to concerts, everything slowly declined. she always told you that there was something off about your friends that she couldn't seem to put her finger on.
she was the one who was off, always had been. guess you were too in love. and very gullible.
you should've noticed it. how she eyes your every move whenever you were out together with friends, how her hand tightened its grip on your waist in warning whenever you got too close to anyone for her liking, how she asked for your live location.
you chalked it up to her showing her care in her way of making sure you were okay. you were right to an extent, she did care. although that was the problem, she cared; she cared more than she should— she cared so much that she needed to watch over you 24/7.
she wasn't this way at first. she was sweet, kind, a little quiet, she made it easy to fall for her. her charming smile, nice demeanor, each act helped her weave her way into your heart.
once she knew you were too deep in to leave her, her true colours showed. suddenly it would be best to have you move in with her, simple to spend most of your time with you, it was normal to be with her and her only.
as she stayed over your slumped body, gently caressing your cheek like you were the most fragile thing right after she almost ripped your hair out, she couldn't help but to smirk and shake her head.
oh poor baby, so easily manipulated. she thought as she recalled how you two met for the first time. you were in need of an umbrella and she came in the role of a savior.
in reality she was baiting you into her carefully constructed trap, though you were none the wiser.
the afternoon was sunny. now, it was raining. you didn't have an umbrella, you huffed, glaring at the sky as it rained heavily, hand reaching out of the shade provided by the building.
you let out a tired sigh as the droplets fell and trailed down the expanse of your hand and forearm. great, you were exhausted and now had to either wait for the rain to stop, it didn't look like it was going to soon, or risk it and make a run for it, you'd get completely drenched.
you were ready to sprint, bag clutched in your arms when a fugure came into your peripheral vision. she seemed to be a young woman with radiant features, an umbrella in her hand as she offered, "you don't have an umbrella, maybe i could help you out?"
"really?" you asked, it was not everyday somebody came to give a hand. she nodded, happy to help. you were speechless, but you were more tired, so you pushed the questions that rose to the back of your mind.
maybe you should've actually questioned her more.
after that say, she started coming up unexpectedly in different ways. first, you saw her in a convenient store. then, in the café you always went to. third, in the arcade you decided to go to with your friends. after, in a ramen restaurant where you went to as you didn't have the energy to cook.
somewhere along the way, you two went on dates, fell in love and you moved in with her.
something you weren't aware of though, was who she really was and her intentions.
ha sooyoung had a twisted mind. she though and moved calculatedly, worked diligently and had a knack for getting anything she wanted, by nook or crook.
she saw you one day laughing happily with one of your friends, you captivated her. she wanted to see you again, wanted to experience seeing your glowing smile for another time.
so, she waited. acting and moving around the building just enough to not draw suspicion, which she didn't, and she saw you smile again. she wanted more, wanted to see more about you.
from that day, bit by bit, she learned about you. from your name to your socials to your friends to your family to your schedule to you favorite bar to your hobbies.
she was obsessed. she knew the game she was playing was unhealthy, she shouldn't do this, you don't deserve this, you deserve better. however, she knew what you deserved.
you needed to be shielded from the world, she could do that. she was the only one you'd need to survive.
she almost lost her shit thinking of how to expose herself to you. eventually ready with a perfectly planned strategy, she stood outside your building, umbrella in hand, mind steady, heart racing, waiting for you to come out, she was aware you didn't have an umbrella.
when she saw you leave with a man at the bar that fateful night, she was fuming. the fury that swirled in her was enough to set the world ablaze.
she couldn't burn the world, but she could torture you. it wasn't like she didn't know you were drugged, she was aware, she plainly didn't care as a matter of fact.
even in a drugged state, the way you still went with him, it was enough for her to snap. she already took care of the guy, took care of him so well he'd been reduced to mush by the end of her torturing.
you were unconditionally hers, she made sure you knew that as soon as you were thrown in her basement. maybe she'd forgive you someday, maybe she won't and you'd spend your life in the four walls you were in at the moment, the last thing and person you see being sooyoung.
the guy's death was much worse. she showed no mercy, gave him a death so pitiful he wished he hadn't even been born by his last moment. as she sensed he was taking his last breaths, she spoke, tone dark, "see you in hell."
