//My apologies to ongoing rps!//
//Midterm week is killing me. I’ve read through everything I’ve been tagged in and I’ll respond when I can but it’s gonna be pretty slow for right now! I often over think RP responses already, so that on top of trying to study and write papers like a mad man is killing my brain.//

Kaidou watched the clock intently, trying to hide his his excitement so he didn’t look too antsy in front of his peers. Usually after the final bell he’d walk home and maybe go get some ramen with his friends, but today he would pass on that boring normal stuff because he had a meeting. After all, his boring life as Kaidou Shun was only a cover story to hide his true identity.
Finally the bell rang and Kaidou sprung up from his seat. He left his friends with a jumbled message, “Can’t today.. meeting.. fate of the world.. top secret.. gotta go!”, sounding... admittedly less cool than he would have liked to. But that didn’t matter now! He hadn’t heard anything from the group trying to take down Dark Reunion since Jade Eyes was defeated (RIP), so this distress message he found in his desk this morning must have been super important!
Kaidou gathered his composure as he made his way down the hallway, The Jet Black Wings was too serious and cool to get so worked up and excited like this. He took a deep breath when he came to a stop at his destination, a small classroom that was usually abandoned at this time unless it was being reserved for club activities. This meeting was important, so Kaidou figured it would be most efficient, not to mention more impressive, to come right in and start the meeting himself immediately. He knew proper procedure after his previous meetings, after all. This was gonna be so cool!
Finally ready for his entrance, Kaidou burst through the door. He went through the motions of The Holy Grail Ceremony quickly, as if he’d practiced it in the mirror a hundred times, which he definitely hadn’t. With a final clap of his hands he confidently exclaimed “Laguz!”, and looked smugly at the person in the room who... definitely... was not the one he was supposed to meet. He was in the wrong classroom.. Crap!
Today was a slower day than what Gale would've particularly liked, seeing as his class had ended early due to the teacher having plans -from what they were told- and seeing as he didn't have any plans and much less any friends to actually tag along with, so he did as he usually would on schooldays, stay around and hang out at one of the quieter classrooms and study, or draw until an hour or so would pass and then head back home after that.
So, seeing as he had nothing better to do, he had went to one of the usually empty classes with sketchbook in hand and took a seat at one of the desks, getting out his pencil and drawing anything that would come to mind which... wasn't much in all honesty. Just a few silly, no effort doodles and that was when Gale's creavitiy decided that it had reached it's quota of the day and left to get back to it's metaphorical family, leaving Gale in the dust.
Letting out a sigh, An lifted the pencil off the page, racking his brain to try to find something, anything to draw that wasn't just another joke. He idly tapped the pencil against his chin, hearing the quiet ticking of the clock on the wall and the tapping of plastic until the door slammed open, sitting up suddenly as he heard a variety of claps and a "Laguz!" come from the entrance to the classroom, looking over in both confusion, surprise and curiosity all mixed into one. "Uh- Laguz?" He couldn't help but be curious about the word, seeing as a) he had never heard it before and b) this guy literally slammed the door open and yelled it out as if it were some sort of declaration and that in of itself already had gotten Gale's attention. He thought for a moment or two, trying to process the word and trying to come up with some sort of better response. "Er... Zephyr?"
(Drawings under the cut)
Kaidou stood, frozen in place, staring at the other boy in the room. His face got redder and redder as he awaited whatever response would come.
“Uh- Laguz?” He heard the boy question. Kaidou had to think of an explanation. Something cool. Quick! So he could stop standing there like an idiot.
“Er... Zephyr?” The second response caught Kaidou a little off guard. He was expecting the other boy to laugh at him or something, not that warding off Dark Reunion was anything to laugh at! But he was going along with it?
Kaidou cleared his throat and straightened his posture, attempting to look serious again. “Yes um.. thank you for your help in completing the ceremony citizen. This room is now protected from the evil forces of Dark Reunion. No need to thank me, this is my job. Now I should really get back to.. Cleansing the rest of the school! Yes. That is what I was doing. That was my mission and this room was where I needed to stop first. I completely meant to come here and do that.”
His explanation came out a little more rushed and jumbled than he meant, but he totally still looked cool! He was an awesome hero that totally didn’t get lost and that’s all anyone needed to know.
He waved to the boy, still trying to look cool despite his earlier blush still faintly spread across his face. “Anyway I should get back to what I was doing before Dark Reunion decides to strike.” He turned to face the door with a small sigh of relief. Nailed it.
Gale looked at the boy for a few moments, a small confused smile growing on his face as the other began to rush out an explanation as to why he had just bursted into the room and immediately made his presence clear by yelling out the word. He turned his body to fully face the boy rather than just straining his neck, putting his arms on top of the back of the chair as the words 'Dark Reunion' caught his attention specifically. Sure, he was actually listening to the guy's ramblings but it didn't mean that certain words could catch his attention more than others.
He nodded slowly as the boy finished up his explanations, thinking about a quip or a funny way to respond for a second or two before quickly shrugging it off. "...alright. Um, good luck cleansing the rest of the school, then..!" Sure, he did kind of figure that the guy came in here by mistake, considering just how red his face was when realizing that Gale was in there rather than whoever else was apparently supposed to be here, but the guy was probably already embarrassed enough as it was. He didn't want to ruin the guy's day any more.
"Anyway I should get back to what I was doing before Dark Reunion decides to strike." Gale was still for a moment before waving goodbye to the guy, "uh, okay then! ...good luck!"
Gale turned back to return to drawing, the words 'Dark Reunion' standing out to him just because it sounded incredibly interesting, quickly turning back to the entryway in which the guy was just about to leave. "Um!" He cut himself off for a moment as his voice was louder than it usually was, quickly quieting down. "Um. By the way." He felt his heart pick up from anxiety, taking in a breath of false confidence. "Would it be alright if I asked you about this 'Dark Reunion-' uh- if we see each other again? ...um- I can't help but be curious about it, heh."
Kaidou, in his releif that he had finally managed to explain himself, barely heard the boy utter out a “good luck!” He planned on getting out of there as quickly as possibly while the other still seemed to have a decent opinion of him. Not to mention, he could be late to a meeting that could determine the fate of the world. That wouldn’t be very heroic of him.
As he turned the door handle, however, he was stopped by a loud “Um!” He turned his head around, looking back at boy who now seemed to look a little.. uncomfortable? Unsure? That really got his attention. What did he have to get embarrassed about in front of the guy that just burst into the wrong classroom- or seemed to anyway. This was totally intentional.
“Um. By the way. Would it be alright if I asked you about this 'Dark Reunion-' uh- if we see each other again? ...um- I can't help but be curious about it, heh."
Kaidou’s mind stopped working for a moment. His eyes widened and he let out a noise in surprise that was most certainly not akin to a high-pitched squeal. Someone.. someone wanted him to talk about Dark Reunion??? Someone that wasn’t already involved??? Was asking him to talk more about them???
He nearly rushed over to the boy in his excitement before he caught himself. He was acting really uncool again.. he attempted to compose himself, but the eagerness in his voice wasn’t completely masked by the nonchalant coolness he tried to muster as he walked closer to the only occupied desk in the room. The compulsion to look cool mixed oddly with his jittery energy, almost making him look more awkward than if he just let himself look as excited as he felt.
“Of- uhh.. of course you can. Knowledge of the enemy is always important to have after all! I could let you in on my vast knowledge of Dark Reunion any time. Um.. what was your name? My true identity is the Jet Black Wings, but the normal people around here know me as Kaidou Shun.” He held his hand out for the other boy to shake.
I can’t believe I’ve been betrayed like this.

All was well. It was quiet, perhaps a little too quiet, but that was just fine. Saiki Kusuo welcomed the absence of disturbance. It wasn’t perfect, of course. The idle thoughts of everyone in the area were still a low din in his mind, but other than that, the afternoon had been relatively peaceful. If it could just remain like that while he watched the three hour program on luxury desserts that was starting soon, he would consider it close enough to perfect.
He switched the TV in his room to the correct station and sat before it in anticipation. What could possibly bother him now? Well, he didn’t want to think about anything that might. The sugary treats he was soon to see deserved his complete and undivided attention.
And it wasn’t as though something would surprise him. He always knew what was coming, and now was no dif-
That proud train of thought was interrupted by an unexpected, surprising, severe pain ripping through his head. He winced, a hand automatically coming up to catch his forehead as it lulled forward a bit. A very brief image of Kaidou Shun screaming and falling flashed through his mind.
Then it stopped. The headache was gone as fast as it had come.
Saiki sat up straight and sighed. What was that? Where was that? I didn’t even get a location.
When was it even happening? Surely… not… soon, right? Not now, right? Not when the dessert show was about to - no. No no no no no!
He hopped up as he realized it and teleported onto the stairs without thinking. He rushed down as fast as he could, but he was already too late. He found his mother standing by the door which was already cracked open, and standing outside, looking completely fine, was Kaidou.
“Ah, there he is!” Saiki Kurumi smiled sweetly towards her son. “Your friend came by to see you!”
Kusuo stared at Kaidou, a less than thrilled look on his face.
Why are you here?
Kaidou Shun was bored. He’d been doing work for his cram classes for hours and if he had to look at one more math problem he might just throw himself into the hands of Dark Reunion to end his misery. Maybe if he told his mom he was going to ‘study’ with at a friend’s house he’d be able to escape?
By some miracle, his plan worked. With his bag of notebooks and pencils that he did not plan on using today, he happily walked the familiar path to Saiki’s house. His introverted friend usually didn’t have any plans unless he was dragged into doing something, so he was probably free! Kaidou wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted to do yet, but he could figure that out when he got to Saiki’s house. Maybe they could go search for a good base of operations against Dark Reunion! That would be epic.
When he finally rang the door bell at the Saiki residence Saiki Kurumi opened the door. “Oh! It’s one of Ku’s friends! Let me call him down for you.” She smiled at him and he smiled a little sheepishly back. He was so excited to get out of the house he didn’t really think about the fact he was dropping by unexpectedly.
“Thank you mam. I’m sorry I didn’t call ahead.” As brash and confident as Kaidou tried to act in front of his friends, he always tried to be a little more polite in front of adults. “Oh nonsense! We’re always happy to have Ku’s friends over.”
Then, a little suddenly, Saiki came running down the stairs into view. “Ah, there he is! Your friend came by to see you!” His mother turned to smile sweetly at her son.
Kaidou waved at the pink haired boy. “Hey Saiki! You wanna hang out for a while? We should go do something!”

(I don’t have a pre-established character in mind, I hope that’s okay :3)
A girl looks up at him with a start, eyes wide. Her hair is messed up on one side and a track of drool is running down her cheek. “L- laguz?”, she stutters, wiping her face with her sleeve without breaking eye contact.
“Uhhhhh...” Kaidou stood in shock for a moment, his face bright red with embarassment at the sound of his own high-pitched voice. “Th-that was just.. um..” Come on man, play it cool. He cleared his throat and leaned against the door, putting on a fake confident persona.
“That ceremony may seem strange to mere mortals, but I assure you this room is now safe from all evil. I’m sorry to get you mixed into this citizen, Dark Reunion must have tricked me into missing my meeting. I’m sure they’re just terrified that I’ll be unstoppable once I get more information on them.” He crossed his arms and looked over at the girl, hoping to see an awed expression on her face after hearing his long-winded, but very cool explanation.

//That moment when you type out a pretty long starter, and your finally satisfied with it, and you leave the page for 2 seconds to save a gif to add to it and it deletes itself? Yeah that hurts.//

My bus has been delayed. This MUST be the work of Dark Reunion. They’ve hijacked the bus to leave me stranded. They must be lurking in the shadows, waiting to catch me off guard.
The joke’s on them however, I’ve seen straight through their foolish plan. The mere thought of someone outsmarting the Jet Black Wings with such a simple plan is laughable.
Just you WAIT soon I’ll be calmly relaxing at home and Dark Reunion will be scrambling back to their hideouts like frightened children. They’ll see that they’re no match for me. As soon as they finally pop up, it’s all over!
thank u kaidou
Ur welcome
//Hey! Uhhhhhh welcome to my RP blog I guess, my dudes! This is my first RP thing on Tumblr specifically, so pls bare with me
\( ̄▽ ̄;)/
I will hopefully try to post some lit starters after I get through my classes today? If not, then tomorrow morning. Between inspiration for actual RP, I’ll probably just post a bunch of in-character shitposts, which I think is honestly fitting. So uhhhhh yeah. Yeet. Peace out. Beware of Dark Reunion. //
You wanna know what’s really in Area 51?
Dark reunion’s secret hide out ((((゜д゜)))
So like...
If I made a roleplay blog as Shun Kaidou from The Disasterous Life of Saiki K... would anyone be interested or would I just be floating adrift in a dead fandom?
I can and will channel the power of the Jet Black Wings to breathe life into this horribly unappreciated fandom. Don’t test me mortals.
I’m committed to this now. I’ll probably set it up after my classes tomorrow. 😤🖤
//I was a mistake.
But ayyyyyyy I did it//
