dear SDGF friends! I need help with the Mana Archive! You might have noticed my spate of being-able-to-focus-on-sitestuff dried up. Trouble is, there’s so much text missing from the MA! I’m going to ask for help writing the long profiles and setting descriptions. I WILL include your username at the bottom of the entry (unless you don’t want me to?!). Please be okay with me editing for spelling/grammar and wordflow, as well as adding anything I thought was left out. Setting I already did Neotopia (Neotopia and the SDG) so you can see what sort of style I’m going for there. (and if you want me to add something to those let me know!!) you don’t have to pick out pictures but if you want to add notes like “(insert picture of such-and-such from ep##)” go for it~ Character Profiles I’m going to TRY and do all the remaining short-descriptions myself, just ‘cause including guest-writers’ names at the end of each seems kinda clunky ^^; Here’s the mostly-complete Neotopian character list with shortdescs, the partly-complete Lacroan list, the untouched-except-for-Zeong’s-full-profile DA list, the entirely untouched list of Ark chars. What about the rest? • Episode pages: I still reeeeeally want to try doing these myself, I really enjoyed doing this one, it’s just… focus….. • Screenshots: I’m still gonna do these. Please believe in me. orz • The art section is kind of a mess, I know, it just needs to hang in long enough for me to finish figuring out what the heck my galleries should look like. • The music section is nearly complete. If you happen to see a copy of the Taiyou ni Kogarete or Kimi to Boku singles for sale can you let me know though =oooo • Video, also a mess, also low-priority. Reuploading things to youtube is a pain so should I just remove those links? • I still don’t remember what “Media Other” was supposed to be ACK • Toys/Models are low priority until I finish the show-based stuff (but Tahtorak I still HAVE your pics AND I still mean to put them in I’M SORRY FOR THE DELAY) • Voice actors: oh god I didn’t realize I hadn’t even put names in yet I’M SORRY • Other Dimensions is a by-now-really-out-of-date list of other SDG things, low priority I’ll update it when I’m procrastinating lol Things you can write for IF you want to: • Timeline: This page was gonna be mostly a list of the approximate order of things and how far apart they are (since actual dates are basically never mentioned). • GBA Game & PS2 Game: Are really low-priority for me right now, I want to do the show’s things first… • …which also applies to the manga sections. I still need to make the placeholder pages for Gaiden and Restsuden though WHOOPS

So I learned while I was goofing around that Tallgeese really likes his little yellow feathers that he’s always twirling around. In fact he like yellow feathers so much, that’s why he he chose the Griffin out of all the spirits.

The more I thought about it, the more I thought about like “what if Tallgeese would hand them out like Zero does his roses”, so here’s a picture of Tallgeese giving Shute one of his beloved feathers~!! ❤

☆The Gundam Force goes to Megacon☆

So was talking with @blazeraptor the other day for our Megacon plans, we’re hoping with a schedule and some fun things it might entice some fans to drop in, so…

If you happen to be in the Florida area and anywhere close to Orlando on May 25th - 28th come drop by the convention center and hang out with Shute and Captain!

Without further adue…. Here’s the schedule!

May 25th Thursday - No Costume Day. We’ll just be wandering the floor as Captain will most likely have work and we’ll be using this day to plan the rest of the three days, but you’re welcome to come hang out with us.

May 26th Friday - Video Game Day. We’ll be playing a round robin of the SD Gundam Force Showdown PS2 game, we’ll probably be doing the Zako Zako challenge. For those who don’t know, Round Robin is a style of game play used to let everyone have a turn it’s mostly used in competitive multiplayer at parties but is also good for handling kids who want to play the same single-player game, the rules are that when whoever is currently playing dies they pass it off to the next person.

May 27th Saturday - Card Game Day. For this day we have a couple games in store. First is a tournament with the SD Gundam Force tcg, with the rules made to be understandable by yours truly! We have a prize for the winner if we have enough people to play! Second is a game of Cards Against Neotopia (convention safe edition). THIS DAY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE DEPENDING ON FEEDBACK.

May 28th Sunday - Anime Day. Basically we’re just gonna be sitting around in costume watching SD Gundam Force for as long as we can.

That’s the general idea! If you’re someone who’d like to come and specifically would like to join us on the Card Game Day please let me know if Thursday will be available to you and if not which day that isn’t Thursday would work. Just so you know whichever day has the majority will be the one chosen. Thanks guys and we hope to see you there!!

SPEAKING OF SHUTE! @havenothingtodo and I were chatting a bit the other night. After watching the pilot trailer for SDGF on the ZZH special features disc we see that SDGF supposedly takes place during UC 0003 and he dug up that UC 0001 is also 2045 AD meaning that SDGF happens in what would be 2048 AD.

According to the official Japanese site Shute is 10 and in the fourth grade, it also seems to be around late spring or early summer in Neotopia. Subtract 10 years from 2048 we learn Shute was born in 2038 likely around the start of the new year which could range from New Years’ to early spring, thought we don’t have a set date or month (if i knew when school started in japan…)

We also learned that… Subtract 2 from 2048, Zero first came to Neotopia in 2046, and likely not much longer after that the SDG started forming (you build a competent military force secretly in two years see what you do), and the Dark Axis took 2 ½ years to invade LaCroa… They either took 2 ½ years starting in the midst of 2043 to take over LaCroa (long ass time to invade someplace) or from the day Zero was sent to LaCroa they started their invasion, which means half a year prep time and a fucking TWO YEAR WAR either way jesus fuck they sure do like to take their sweet time

So I did not add on the rest of me figurinf out Shute’s birthday it would seem?

So allow me to add on, as we know Shute was born early in the year which was likely to be from anywhere in Janurary to end of May.

Now because Shute is in the 4th grade while he’s 10 doesn’t seem to fit with American schooling, but SDGF is a Japanese show so I did a little digging into how Japanese schools work and here’s what I found.

Kids start school there at age 5. The cut off date for school enrollment is April 2nd. It’s quite popular in Japan to delay a birth that is close to the cut off date so the child can skip going to school on the year they turn 5 in hopes that the extra year at home will prepare them better for when they actually do start school at age 6 instead.

So that cuts off anywhere before April 2nd. Now to add in more SDGF related stuff.

We know Shute is already 10 when SDGF starts, we know he’s currently taking classes during the 1st season of the show but in the second season he’s allowed to go off in a ship full of robots to go fight a war and there’s no mention of homework at all. Which would mean it’s SUMMER! And here’s how we can tell, Gerbera oddly mentions it’s been 2 ½ years having passed during the show, which could mean the span of SDGF is 6 months or that from around the beginning of the year it’s been 2 years and the additional 6 months. So if we do count it as 6 months from say what Feburary and apply only to three of those months to SDGF… It would pin the second season to being just around July - August.

So wait, what does any of that mean in relation to Shute’s birthday? Well you see in Japan Summer starts in July and lasts until the end of August (a 40 day break). So if the second season is during Summer and all of first season Shute is doing homework it’s safe to say that the second season happens at the start of Summer, in July. So now we just have to cover the 2 months before that, which are June and May (going backwards). So May is the start of SDGF and Shute’s birthday happened before the show meaning the month available is April anywhere from the 3rd to the end!

And that’s why I believe April to be Shute’s birth month. And since I happen to like the sound of April 3rd I celebrate today as Shute’s birthday!

OOC: BIRTHDAY BOY

((So quite sometime ago Unicorn and I delved into learning when Shute's birthday is after he found out what year UC 0003 (the year SDGF takes place) is in AD. To figure this out I used the fact that Shute is 10, a 4th grader, the mention of Shute's school work, and the Japanese schooling system to figure it out. I have a detailed post I'll dig up later but Because of all that we managed to pick the month he would have been most likely to have been born which is this month APRIL! and April 3rd is the first possible day (the day immediately after the enrollment cut off) he could have been born! And I happen to personally like the sound of April 3rd anyways soo HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHUTE!!))

I am an impulsive roleplayer.

I let my muse take the reins and decide what threads to start or reply to in a given day. If the muse doesn’t feel it, it isn’t happening. That doesn’t mean that I hate you or that I no longer want to interact with you; I probably either lost our thread or my muse just said, ‘nah bro.’

I’m sorry I drop threads. I’m sorry I don’t reply to memes. I’m sorry I ignore my asks. I’m sorry I plot things and then don’t do them. I’m an impulsive roleplayer: my muse guides me.

Roleplaying isn’t my job: it’s my hobby. I do it for fun. My muse isn’t my coworker: my muse is my friend. We have fun together. If I started treating this as a job, it wouldn’t be enjoyable for me anymore, and the quality of my content would diminish greatly!

And while we’re on the subject, just because a thread gets dropped does not mean the relationship between our muses is dead!! Thread =/= relationship! We can start something new and continue building their bond! Relationships are important to building new aspects of our muses!

I always want to roleplay with you. Just…perhaps not with that thread. You feel?
