bad cop admin reporting for duty.

so i get that's it's like uber convenient that a bunch of us have each other on skype/aim/facebook/phone numbers/across the street, etc.  like, that's awesome.  and we will always encourage you guys to make use of those easy ways of communication when it comes to plotting and stuff.  and it's also awesome that so many of us have become friends as a result.  i love you all a lot and i'm really glad that i've become friends with you guys.

but here's the thing.

i am not your friend when i'm being an admin.  friends make excuses for each other and cut each other slack and tell you not to worry about things.  admins take no excuses and cut no slack and expect you to worry about keeping your characters active and staying within the rules and ratios of the site.  so, obviously, i'm going to have to separate my admin self from my friendly self.  and for me, that means no skyping, no facebook messaging, no phone calls, no texts, no anything about admin stuff.  if you have a question for me, PM my account on the site.  if you need a thread moved, post in the thread moderation topic.  if your character gets archived, post in the reactivation thread.  don't come to me (or any of the other admins) anywhere but on the site to talk about admin business.

like, i'll be straight with all of you.  it's felt like some of you don't respect us as admins the way you would admins who aren't your friends.  sometimes it's even felt like you're taking advantage of the fact that we're friends to try and get us to bend rules for you, and that is not okay.

so sorry to be the bad guy and call everyone's attention to yet another issue, but this needed to be said.  keep any site admin business you have with us on the site.  yeah, i get it, skyping with us is faster, but pming can be just as quick if you're actually paying attention to the site.  so utilize the pm system, please.  anyone who comes to us on skype will just get told to pm an admin account from here on out, okay?

I won't have ANY time to write them until late next week (lol, finals), but I would love it if you guys would leave me prompts!  Just give me what character/friendship/couple you'd like me to focus on, and maybe a word or a phrase or a sentence or something to go along with it!  I'd prefer RP characters, but you can absolutely give me fandom characters instead, if you'd prefer.  Just please try to stick to characters from things I've actually read/watched. :)

I won't be coming back to TC when the jcink site opens.  I won't bore you all with the details of what's going on in my life that's preventing me from finding time to RP, but suffice it to say that I just don't have time anymore.  And, if things keep going right for me, my life is about to get even more hectic, and that's no help when it comes to finding time to RP, either.

I didn't want to waste any more time in not telling everyone, because it's not fair to any of you if I keep this to myself.  I've been playing around with the idea for a while, actually, and now I know that it's time to step away.  It's been a joy writing with all of you, and I appreciate these past... wow... million years more than I can put into words.  So, thank you, all of you, for being so supportive and generous and creative and truly inspiring me to become a better writer.
