“I’m glad that you are aware.”
You could thank the doctors at Civilization 9 for this miracle, doctor.
As unnerving as it was for Nageki to be standing before one of the men who had lead him down a path of false hope… He did not turn away. The dove simply stood as though he was waiting to be dismissed. “Yes. The past was once beautiful… But there’s always a taint in one’s past, isn’t there?” Nageki almost smiled, tilting his head to the side.
“Even hearing such words… I’m sure that my actions before were necessary. I don’t regret what I did in my attempts to stop you.”
Instinctively, the dove took a step back from the extended hand. Both hands were lifted to his chest and he eyed the other suspiciously before actually putting some thought into this situation. “After everything you’ve done…” He murmured the words, fiddling with one of his fingers anxiously before peeking back at Shuu.
“Fine.. But in return, I would like to ask you for something.” Extending his own hand, fingers barely touching Shuu’s palm before he spoke again, Nageki hesitated once more. “Do not try to use the Charon Virus as you please anymore. Whether you act on your own or with others… It wouldn’t do you any good. Not here at least.”
Or so he hoped.
“Move on.”
"Oh dear, why wouldn't I be?" Surely, he had his reasons for saying such a thing. There was always a reason why he did what he had to. Civilization 9 was nothing more than a mockery to him, being stripped of his title twice was beginning to bother him. How they spoke of that there could be no other Doctors, and then here within this Hospital had done it once more. Being dubbed a patient was just as bad.
Upon the speaking of the past, the Chukar knew how wonderful one could be and then the distaste that came with it. He had his own bad memories from it, and even went to the point to ignore it. To never again think about it, but now he could only wonder. Maybe if he had done things differently, would things have changed? Surely, his colleague asked for this. Everything that `Isa` had done from his actions and to his breathing. It was all requested. "A taint... hmm." A nod had came from the brunette, there would always be that one shadow living in everyone's past. "I cannot deny that."
What other shadows could he think of? Was the burning of his lab so bad? Even though some various people had been hurt. That was the dove's chance to have salvation was it not? As smoke filled the building and the alarm had went off, it told random other's what had happened. Intensifying heat and even he knew, there was nothing he could do. Was that how fate worked? But it was laughable since he didn't believe in such a thing. "What you did in an attempt.. left something just as useful. You were a wonderful thing, Mr. Fujishiro. What were the chances of passing someone as you up. Hohoho." He was the Souma's priority at the moment.
Having him take a step back didn't surprise the Chukar in the slightest. He had became use to these sorts of actions, even Mrs. Tousaka had done the same. Was it because of his choosing of words or because the other was still bothered by him. He had believed of dropping his arm right down by his side but the thought had left as he kept it extended. The other wasn't a bad pigeon in the slightest, no. What he was able to deduct. The male would rather have peace which Shuu could see when he was denying the attempt to kill humans.
Was he actually a bad person for what he did for the sake of another. Though no one had known. It was his own intention and hearing the male contemplate on the whole ordeal was quite something. He would have understood if the other had denied it once more but simply, that wasn't the case. Lilac hues watched as the former deceased had held out his own hand to his. They had not yet touch as they slowly came to some sort of agreement.
"You're asking that." Though it was rhetorical to say, if he didn't he wouldn't have said it. Keeping his eyes on him had he thought about the choice of words he used. "Do you know how far everything has went with the use of it. I understand it had caused the school to go through much trials and tribulations along with taking many lives. But it's uses will lead science down a path of far better things." Though, as he spoke of how it wouldn't do any good in a place like this. Filled with all sorts of patients had the brunette slowly found himself moving back into silence.
"Move on." He muttered the words to himself before a slight chuckle left from him. "To where?"
