Homecoming

antigonus and bethel who are trying their best to analyze amon's natal chart (as it was predicted, there's nothing normal about him)

On chapter 1051 of lotm and I genuinely feel a little afraid of Klein.
Like he's genuinely terrifying. I mean so are Adam and Amon but they have had hundreds of thousands of years to gain the power they have.
Klein has been at it for less then 2 years and he's making a demigod of the spectators pathways walk into a trap unknowingly in his main domain.
Like the fear of feelings like your the hunter when stepping into a beast's maw is horrifying to me. 10/10 keep it up my guy.
I need to squish myself in-between the letters of this book and smack Klein up side his head.
At least he knows what he's doing.
BUT his reasoning is "I'm not so weak and can withstand even more horrific deaths and restorations now :D" is so fucking baffling. YOU ARE ABNORMAL SIR.
ABNORMAL.
I'm going to put the screen shot under this bar because it made me gag upon reading Tw gore and maggots
Genuinely how does he keep putting himself through this...
Something is so incredibly wrong with him. Wrong wrong wrong.
Im throttling him.
I think he would rate your throttling as pretty low down on the tier list I'm afraid

Fic idea
so basically the idea is that sometimes after getting revenge on ince and joining the tarot club leonard decides to go visit his old colleague in Blackthorn
And after he goes there they all start reminiscing about Klein and the captain and kenley and old neil and rossane and Frye start talking about little things that Klein used to do like how squimish he was around dead bodies, or how cute and happy her used to get about cakes and how, despite priding himself of being a gentleman, used to be so obvious about his feelings, especially with how expressive he was (cause cmon face it, donghua Klein is very very expressive) and Leonard, who has been in corrospndance with Klein and actually knows him even now is very confused cause, no? Klein? Show expression? KLEIN?? Gun weilding, marrionette making blood thirsty terror of the seas Gehrman Fuckimg sparrow ??? No way
But yeah basically leonard starts to realise that no, he does not actually remember what Klein is/was like cause he's replaced most of Kleins actual mannerisms with those of gehrman sparrows and then starts having a crisis
in a way john watson is a fantasy (what if you had this brilliant enigmatic friend and what if he liked you in particular and what if he offered you the excitement of youth and adventures and a way out of boring society life and all without having to actually give up your status as a gentleman so you could have the best of both worlds) and in a way sherlock holmes is a fantasy (what if someone never got tired of you despite your various strange habits and mood swings and instead of simply tolerating you they genuinely liked you and what if you didnât have to live alone forever and what if you never had to give up doing the things you love) and of course thereâs the most fantastical part of it all (what if you could afford london housing prices)
I like to think that Klein saying he can't go back to the church when Leonard just assumed that they were only temporary separated by circumstance and the need to get revenge is partly why Leonard is so listless.
It was literally Leonard saying "Come back to me. Let's be pressed back to back, side to side. Partners though it all. Life and death."
And Klein slowly lowering Leonard's hands that had clenched on to his coat and going "To much has changed. No matter what I can't stand beside you or anyone anymore."
And then I threw up.
I hit the tag limit but uhm I have more to say I forgot it now though
YOU GET IT
This is why Leonard being described as listless is so important to me personally. He was never described in such a manner before Klein's death. It's only after he begins grieving that he loses that spark.
Another important moment and description is after Klein tells him he's not coming back to the nighthawks Leonard starts talking about their power gap way more. Because suddenly it matters. Suddenly that distance isn't going to go away and their difference inability is making it even larger.
This is why the "Hall of Truth" scene is so important to me as well. It's a moment where Klein is physically unable to keep people at such a large distance and nothing bad happens in turn. And ignoring how much that is a big deal for Klein Leonard seems to actually regain a bit of his liveliness when that happens. He feels like he isn't listless anymore.
Because just for that moment in time in that grand mysterious place him and Klein are both uniquely small against something so powerful and therefore our once again close to each other.
I feel like if Leonard clearly knew how powerless Klein feels right nowâ
â that he wouldn't feel so far away from him. If Leonard knew that Klein is also a small dot in the eyes of the true gods he would be able to notice that the distance isn't as big as it feels.
I love them they aren't inherently doomed in my opinion It's just that both of their character flaws line up with Canon such a way that they can't truly reach each other despite having the ability to.
ZkgGsiusyidaru I love them.
my blog is just one long love letter to myself and all the people i used to be
had a fascinating english class that resulted in the notes header âthe forcefeminization of victor frankensteinâ
what the people want, the people get
you see
my professorâs take is that mary shelley is feminizing victor throughout the novel, as a way of flipping gender roles and putting a male character through female experiences.
evidence as explained:
victor is creating life. he is putting his health at risk (spends two years with little sleep or socialization) to bring life forth into this world
his illness after he is shocked by the creature coming to life is akin to both âhysteriaâ and postpartum depression
he pretty much swoons, letâs be honest
henry clerval, a man who has been characterized as manly and heroic, has to chase after damsel-in-distress victor and care for him as he convalescesÂ
afterward, he hides what he did and went through, for fear that others will label him crazy and emotional and not believe him. sound familiar?
Victor in general is more emotional than the other characters and is constantly tempering his reactions to not be seen as irrationalÂ
the book does not otherwise have central female charactersÂ
Also, Shelleyâs mother died in childbirth. Itâs interesting, then, that Shelley presents the creation of life as something horrific and damaging. She parallels Victor with her mother.
in conclusion, Frankenstein (1818) by Mary  Wollstonecraft Shelley is one of the first examples of mpreg in English literatureÂ
