Health & Beauty Highlight Essential Oils
Health & Beauty SpotlightÂ
Today I am going to be blogging about one of my favorite health and beauty products Essential oils.Â
I have been researching and using essential oils in my personal homemade products for about 5 years now. I believe in their healing, and other health benefits. Â
So, the question is what is essential oils, and what are their uses? To answer that an essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid derived from the essence of various plants. (wikipedia2017)Â
This is the most concentrated form of the plant, and must be used with caution. Skin irritation can occur if you do not dilute the oils with a carrier oil such as coconut oil, etc. You must also be cautious in that some essential oils are poisonous when ingested and can only be used for topical, and aroma therapies. As well as some essential oil like Bergamot a citrus essential oil like most citric essential oils are actually phototoxic, which means when you go in the sun it will cause a reaction. Usually redness, and sometimes rash or blisters will develop when you have a phototoxic reaction from essential oils. (one essential community LLC 2015-2020)Â
I have been researching and using essential oils in my personal homemade products for about 5 years now. I believe in their healing, and many other health benefits. Even though Doctor’s have not yet had enough time to study the long-term effects of essential oils therefore they usually do not suggest or prescribe the use of essential oils. Most essential oils are known for their ability to reduce stress and anxiety, while lower blood pressure. They help reduce pain in joints, and muscles, as well as headaches. They are known to boost your immune system, quite a few essential oils are also aphrodisiacs, and improve sex life for both sexes. Some also say that essential oils help with fertility, and menstrual problems like cramps and heavy bleeding. They are known to promote faster healing, and fade scars and marks, while protecting your skin against the harsh radicals that damage our skin. Â
You also must be careful where you purchase your essential oils from there are too many sellers that state their essential oils are pure and they are not. Not only are they giving you a diluted product they are over charging for said products. The brand of essential oils that I use is called Sweeder’s you can purchase their 100% pure clearly labeled bottles on ebay for a reasonable price. Sweeder’s also has a large variety of oils available to purchase, with different sizes as well. I use essential oils in a wide range of products that I make that are all-natural products. Some examples are Body lotion, face masks, face wash (citrus essential oils are great to prevent acne). I also make bath bombs, eyeshadow, lip balm, lipstick, eyelash growth serum, charcoal teeth whitening treatment with clove bud oil and spearmint oil to promote oral health.  I make perfume, cologne, massage oils, and personal lubricant, pain relief cream, and whatever else I find to create. Â
My top 10 favorite essential oils that I personally use regularly, and find do what they have been said to do. Â
