decided to come back here and i gotta say. anon may have called this a headcanon, but that's very inaccurate. they've pretty much done everything BUT say the word autism. rui's character makes very little sense if you try to see him as allistic because he's just so strongly implied to be autistic

rui is VERY heavily autistic coded, to the point where it's extremely unlikely that it was unintentional. it kinda feels like rui was created when some employees at colorful palette were like "hey, how many autistic traits can we fit in one character?".

and even though he fits the savant stereotype, he's still very realistic and positive autism rep outside of that!
