I apologize for not being around as much as I would have liked, but from the little I was I really grew fond of the characters and plots here. I’d love to continue some of them in a 1x1, or even a future roleplay, and wish everyone the best here. Leia felt a squeeze around her hand and squeezed back. She felt somewhat soothed by Sibella’s presence, her bubbling anger finding a resting place at the bottom of her gut as she gave her best friend a laugh. She needed Sibella right now, more than she needed someone to plan revenge with (although the other girl would hardly be a terrible accomplice in that), she needed the soft, unbreakable trust she had in the Ravenclaw. “Charming a girl while she’s down. I suppose you’re here for…Madam Pomphrey’s companionship. Or. Just to see your favorite girl.”

Leia and Sibella were capable of being quite the pair - two sides of the same coin. They both held mutual charisma and calamity, though their differences complemented the other. It was so easy to whip the other up into a storm, or bring them along for the ride. It was in quieter, rarer times that they wound the other down, but Sibella stroked her thumb across the back of Leia’s hand. She wanted to act, to accuse, to do something on Leia’s behalf, yet she was sure the other girl would be inclined to do so if not stuck in a hospital bed. If Leia wanted SIbella to act, she would take those cues later, but she was here now. “It’s definitely one of those two, I think. Is there anything I can do for you?”

Leia Rookwood did not like the feeling of fear. Fear was her father in late night hours and early morning breakfasts. Fear was the inescapable bang from the bomb she still remembers. Fear was feeling your broom twist and turn until you fell and began plummeting towards the ground. No, Leia Rookwood did not like fear, so when she woke up in the hospital wing, with someone sitting in the chair next to her, Leia Rookwood replaced fear with anger. 

“So tell me, why are you here? Can’t be for the charming atmosphere.”

The soft light of a distant moon reflects in sleepless eyes and drapes restless souls in a surreal glow; yet it’s a haunting filter to dictate one’s life by. A full moon a few days prior had awoken something in Sibella -- something she hadn’t quite put back to rest. Claws she kept clenched and teeth she kept clamped; something savage and hollow and ready to tear into whoever was responsible for this, she thought bitterly with a hand delicately entwined with the Slytherin’s. When Leia stirred she gave it a soft squeeze before trying to match some anger with a quip, “I guess you can say that it did hurt when you fell from heaven, huh? Why do you think I’m here?”

There were a small number of people Leia trusted, and in recent events the number had gone down. Sibella was a constant though, with her quiet, melancholic grace and destruction. They were terrible enablers to each other’s need to set fires to things, both pulled down by loss but dealing with it in different ways. At least, for Leia, it was bright pink hair to match pink lips and tiny skirts and a sharp smile that always edged between flirty and horrible. Leaning against the doorway, Leia flipped her long hair over her shoulder and crossed her arms. “So, you going to share that or do you want to be alone right now? I haven’t seen you in forever.”

Sibella lived in a constant state that can only be likened to the feeling of raising a foot to take another step and landing on something phantasmic and intangible -- a solid misstep into fluttering unease; hitched breaths that dissolved into self destruction or laughter. She was still in the process of becoming -- of bouncing back from the desecration of something so close to beautiful, and stood in soft contrast of the one that sought her out in the tower. Leia. She spun around to face the girl, tossing a metallic cigarette case in her direction. “Let’s be alone together??”

Embers and ashes fell from the bad habit dangling between her fingers and an idle drag sank into her like the heaviness of the situation at hand -- a far cry from the calamitous kaleidoscope her thoughts oft refracted in. The explosion, the coming full moon, the lines about to be drawn in the sand -- it was all so much, yet only a wisp of smoke filled the eerie silence of the astronomy tower. Sibella stubbed it out, but lingered as expansive inkiness cracked into lightening pastels and distant footfalls caught her attention. She tossed a look over her shoulder to gauge the situation, not quite sure whether to break the silence or not.
