doesn't get it
He holds up a package of…something. He isn’t too sure what it is.
“ This looks like cardboard! You ain’t eating this! ——— Throw this crap away! ”
“ I’d rather eat cardboard than risk dying from E. Coli and or Salmonella !! ”
------------Yanks the weird food substance from Yoshiki and MUNCHES MONSTROUSLY on it.
I’m gonna add Yuu Shinohara to this blog eventually. Right now I wanna focus on my characterization of Miki!
@yoshitki | TENJIN - NO WAY OUT
It was only less than an hour ago that she was at her big brother’s school, -- with his friends and classmates -- helping to clean up after the school festival. And within the time frame of being in this elementary school, she has seen more than enough corpses, viscera, and other questionable dismemberment in a lifetime. The way some bodies were killed were very cruel, as well. Miki choked back a sob as visions of the dead came back to her like a haphazard crash.
And the worse of it all is that she was slowly getting desensitized to all of this unneeded violence.
Miki is alone, curled up into a ball in one corner of a torn down and broken classroom. She did not want to venture outside again. Her brave face broke down the instant she saw her first corpse -- which had its stomach flayed and exposed to the world. There was too much pain and suffering that spoke out to her from inside the walls. At this time, she was not a fourteen year old. She was a scared, SCARED little girl... All she wanted now was her big brother...
-Kerrrrrrrk-
Glossy blue eyes widen as the pair slowly turned towards the blackboard. The ear piercing sounds of the screeching board rubbed her the wrong way. She was getting chills down her spine. All of the hairs on her arms stood up, and she was getting goosebumps all over. Nothing visible to the human eye was seen as the sound continued to haunt her. Anxiety shot up instantly. Miki froze as sobbing hiccups began to escape from her quivering lips.

TALK ABOUT YOSHIKI'S SISTER AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HER PLS,,
Meta meme
Oh boy, okay. You’ll have to excuse my shit ability to recap things. This ended up turning out more like a timeline of their family life than actual relationship stuff. From the time she was born, Yoshiki adored her. Because he was always a “problem child” in his father’s eyes (often for things that would very well be considered normal behavior for someone at that age), he was constantly reprimanded and put down. Having a little sister meant he had someone depending on him, looking up to him – and he could be the figure he never had for himself. He subconsciously made it his resolution to always be there for her, no matter what. As he got older, she became sort of an anchor for him. Miki idolized him - a typical behavior of a younger sibling - and as time went on, she’d picked up quite a few of his habits, some less desirable than others. Yoshiki was held responsible for this, of course, and was regarded as a bad influence by their father.
During what could probably be considered Yoshiki’s lowest point (behavior-wise) prior to getting disowned, he’d grown distant towards her: him being so involved in his ‘new life’ that he’d carried his rough persona home with him. The friendly, often childish interactions they had; he felt it below him. That is, until he’d gotten disowned. Whatever inflated ego he’d gotten was completely knocked out of him, and it was then he became conscious of how he’d been treating her. It was too late then, of course - no sooner had he’d gotten both feet out the door, Miki was forbidden to contact Yoshiki by their father. A considerable amount of time went by before he reached out to her. When he did, he apologized for both his actions and the way he’d been treating her.
While Miki understood the reason why he’d been thrown out, she still felt horrible on his behalf, which made it impossible to hold a grudge. From that point on they kept in contact secretly - first by phone, then eventually meeting up in person. At some point their mother became aware of this and, to show support the only way she could, she would give fake alibis as to where Miki was (if inquired by their father) and prepare lunches for her to bring to him.
Once Yoshiki got his own apartment, she made it a point to visit once to several times a week to help him get settled in, bring groceries - things like that. And that continues to present time.She’s like a mother hen in the way she’s constantly trying to make sure he’s eating enough, sleeping enough, so on and so forth. He’d spent his younger years vowing to take care her; now she takes care of him. And he doesn’t think he’d be doing too well surviving on his own if it wasn’t for her.
Thanks to growing up with the projected personality of the quiet, obedient girl their father desired and from the simple fact she’s Yoshiki sister, she has an impeccable ability to play both sides of the coin. They’ve had many instances of tag-teaming to play a joke on somebody, or stealing some candy together. Their interactions usually involve some friendly banter and some noogies, but their overall relationship is pure and healthy.
Some bonus things:
- Yoshiki obviously had no way to take more than a couple items with him when he was initially kicked out. Once he got his own place, Miki would loot his room and secretly bring him his stuff when their father wasn’t home.
- Miki was the one to teach him how to cook. (His ability to coat anything in flour and breadcrumbs and flour and throw it in a pan was really the only thing that stuck.)
- Yoshiki always makes the best effort he can to attend all of Miki’s tennis matches. If you listen closely, you can hear him shamelessly bragging on her. Ie., “that’s my little sister right there!”
THANKS FOR RPING WITH MIKI GUYS
I’M GONNA BE AFK FOR A WHILE BUT THIS WAS A NICE FIRST DAY!!! WITH! HER!
NICE MISSY:
Yuka smiled, slightly giggling. “I’m actually heading there too! You can walk with me if you like!” She held out a hand in an attempt to make a nice gesture.
Did this girl wanted to shake hands ??? ----Or hold hands?
That is a bit of a strange thing to do to someone she just met... ...but, it’s only awkward if she makes it awkward. If this missy wants to hold hands then that’s fine and dandy. She takes the girl’s hand, holding it by her side.
----”I’m Miki, by the way! Kishinuma, Miki! Thanks for showing me the way.”
the crapper:
“ Trends? When didja start caring ‘bout that crap? ”
He’s only heart the term in bad context. This can’t be good.
-----“Don’t call it crap! You’re crap!”
Square up. She’ll fight!
FELLOW BEAN:
..Seeing as it was going to rain, Yuka started skipping off to Kisaragi with an umbrella, taking her time and splashing in the puddles along the way.
She eventually saw someone seeming, and looking a tad stranded. She waddled on over, gently tapping her shoulder. “..Is everything alright? You look a bit lost..”
Upon whirling around, she sees a girl about her age. What a sweet girl! No one ever stops to ask a stranger if they’re alright nowadays.
“Yeah!” Miki speaks out of reflex, but quickly shakes her head. “... actually no! I’m trying to find Kisaragi High school. Do you know where it is?”
TOL-SENPAI:
Kizami was glad that this girl wasn’t a complete pain in the ass. Dare he say she was actually a bit nice? He let out a short small laugh as she called him that.
’ ’ I suppose if you insist, I wouldn’t be against being called Senpai. ’ ’
He then thought of her question.
’ ’ Well there’s baseball, swimming, tennis, football, and I believe American football but I never really looked too deep into that. ’ ’
Her blue eyes glistens after hearing the word ‘tennis’. Invisible sparks, flowers, and happiness radiates from Miki. She smiles approvingly as she looks around the campus grounds, liking Byakudan more and more the more she sees it!
“Oh goodie! That would have been my make it or break it for me if Byakudan did not have a tennis club.”
Miki’s eyes wander over to a female student that walks pasts them, looking off at their uniform. “Wow! Cute uniforms to boot! I’ve always liked sailor uniforms for girls more than Blazers. Is this why you chose this school, senpai?” Miki grins and nudges at him, already getting buddy-buddy with the tall upperclassman.
@scentedbeads | More Umbrella Imoutos
Today is one of the days where she plans on hanging out with her brother. However, after receiving a text from Yoshiki explaining how he is stuck in the rain at school, she takes an umbrella and promptly jogs on over to Kisaragi...
...getting a little lost in the meantime. She recongizes the street signs, but she does not know where to turn. Miki has only been to Kisaragi once, after all.
---“...Oh no.....! Onii-chan is gonna be soaked!”
SENPAI
Kizami shook his head.
’ ’ Nice to meet you, Im Kizami Yuuya. ’ ’
He said in a polite tone. He never liked having to be this polite for so long but, this tour should only be 30 minutes so he could just deal with it. Once he gets home he’s rewarding himself with a long nap, it’s a good thing he took his meds for his narcolepsy or he would be passed out right now.
’ ’ No no, you don’t need to call me that, you can just call me Kizami. Come on I’ll take you inside. ’ ’
Miki... has a feeling that this is going to be an awkward tour. Her guide does not seem very enthusiastic about this whole thing, nor about the school he’s attending. Hm. Nah. It is only awkward if she makes it awkward!
“Whuuuuuuat? But you’re being an admirable upperclassman by giving me a tour. You’re worthy of the ‘senpai’ card, Kizami-senpai!”
She nods in approval with herself and follows suit after the guide with haste. “So what sports clubs does Byakudan have?”
bllexk:
Kizami absolutely didn’t want to be a tour guide for Byakudan. He hated the social interaction and acting like he actually cared about the people he went to school with. Plus it was tiring, very tiring. He already dealt with extreme cases of drowsiness throughout the day so this just made things worse, but there was one thing that made him agree to doing this. He wanted a better reputation than his older brother who used to be a student at this school, and if it was his brother who was the one being asked personally if he would be a tour guide he would say yes with no issues, so if Yuuya said no, that could put in an dent in those plans of being better. He didn’t mean to be late but he got caught up in homework, luckily he was only 5 minutes late.
’ ’ Sorry about being late, I had to finish up some homework. ’ ’
He frankly didn’t care about being late but, he was good at putting on a caring front so that’s all he had to do.
First thing she notices about this student is his height. Wow. He’s tall. It’s rare for Miki to see anyone over 6 foot tall. She finds herself wondering if all high schoolers are around this height range--.
“Oh! Um, it’s okay, mister. I wasn’t waiting long anyways,” She gives a small smile up at the stoic looking male.
“I guess I can call you senpai? My name is Kishinuma Miki. It’s very nice to be acquainted with you, and I appreciate that you’re using your time to give me this tour.” She bows respectfully at her senior.
@bllexk | School Tour
Being as she is entering High School next year, her parents set up a few school tours in several neighboring high schools. Miki is more than satisfied to enter the same school as her big brother’s High School, Kisaragi. But her parents insists that she should be the one in the family to enroll in a much more reputable school.
And so this how she ends up standing in the front gates of Byakudan Senior High School, waiting for her tour guide. The school arranged a student to come and greet her before giving her the tour of the school grounds. It’s been a few minutes already and they seem to be late...
Miki checks her wrist watch and frowns slightly.
@idol-soul | Makeup!!
This is a little daunting. Miki stands at the makeup isle of the store, idling over the foundation selection. She never buys or wears makeup, but she is very interested in it now. She is having trouble finding the right coverage for her fair skin tone, though.
“Something too light will make me look like a clown... and if it’s too dark, I’ll look ridiculous.”
Miki glances around and sees another girl that seemed slightly older than her looking through the lip gloss section. She looks like she knows exactly what she’s doing. Her makeup is on point and natural... Not noticing that she’s simply staring at the older teenager, Miki continues to let her eyes linger on her.
