German Jobcenter is such a joke. You request some documents you have to fill in and they take their sweet time and don't send it for 3 weeks and when it finally arrives you have one week left to fill in multiple pages and send it back...

Good news. They gave me a new deadline without me even having to ask. I still finished it early because I spent days on this stack of paperwork tho. Now I just hope that the results will be good news too... But who knows how long it'll take them to process my stuff...

They approved my request for Bürgergeld. But they haven't sent any yet. Instead I got a letter with an appointment and a warning that my financial support would be cut if I don't show up. Brother, what support? You haven't paid anything. Besides I'm not even there on that day nor can I drive at that time of the day (I take meds and I suffer from terrible pain in the morning). Such a joke...

I hate Germany for that. I get absolutely zero support when I am probably entitled to some, legally. I've been unable to work for 3 years now due to my disabilities. So I called the Sozialamt and asked for help. They told me to call the Jobcenter. The Jobcenter lady had absolutely no idea what to do... Side rant!

I hate when a job obviously focuses too much on "social skills" (aka just the "on the clock smile" and "customer service voice") The lady was nice and all, so no shade here. But she had absolutely no idea what she was doing and told me to call someone else.

Anyway. Side rant over, they told me to call the Agentur für Arbeit. They didn't know either but there was a big difference there! The lady on the phone went to ask her coworkers and get more information to help me find out who to call next and what to do. Yeah she didn't quite know the full thing but she actually tried. I gave her a compliment and thanked her for trying.

Anyway, next step is calling the Rentenversicherung. Doing all this sucks when you're alone and you have no idea nor experience what to do because no one can tell you...

They sent me back to the Sozialamt. Great. Now we are going in circles because no one wants to help. (except for the one lady who actually tried)

Full circle. I called the Jobcenter again because the Sozialamt told me again that I need to call them. Same lady again. She told me to just come in and talk to someone in person. I asked how long they're open. They were closed. By the time I called for the first time they were open! If she had just given me that information when I first called, I could have made it! Driving there is already a problem due to my condition but this is just the cherry on top of the cake of frustration.

I need an appointment with an endocrinologist. The one in Bamberg gave me an appointment in December. So I tried Erlangen and they don't have appointments until next year!

I fucking hate this system. I've been suffering for years and I've been trying to get checked up looked at for years. My gynecologist just sent me away without checking anything.

Might as well dig a whole or something and lay in it.

So instead I am MAYBE getting it done tomorrow by my GP. I'll have to pay for it myself but fuck what other choice do I have?

Warum wollen Ämter eigentlich jedes Jahr aufs Neue eine Kopie von meinem UNBEGRENZTEN Schwerbehinderungsausweis?

Schaut halt einfach die Kopie vom letzen Jahr an. Da hat sich nix geändert.

I am at a bit of a loss here. Basically my insurance rejected my request for financial help for disabled people. I don't really know how to properly translate it though because specific services might not have an English equivalent so I am gonna write this post in the language of the country I currently have to deal with due to my location. Also I am revealing the name of that insurance now. After they already tried to reject my request for free insurance three times it is time. (They had to comply in the end because I was legally entitled to that insurance). Anyway.

Jedenfalls hat die Techniker Krankenkasse gerade meinen Antrag auf Pflegegeld abgewiesen (?). Und die Begründung ist totaler Bullshit. Es wurde nämlich ein Gutachten vom Medizinischen Dienst erstellt, dass der Realität nicht entspricht. Dabei geht es um die psychologischen Aspekt des Gutachtens. Zum Beispiel das Erkennen von Gesichtern und die räumliche sowie zeitliche Orientierung. Damit habe ich große Probleme aber die haben mir in diesen Kategorien 0 Punkte gegeben, also quai angegegben, dass da keine Probleme vorliegen. Jetzt muss ich rausfinden, was ich noch machen kann um überhaupt finanzielle Unterstützung zu bekommen. Denn ich bin schwerbehindert und erwerbsunfähig und bekomme keinerlei Leistungen von irgendwelchen Ämtern. Also auch kein Bürgergeld oder so. Das kann doch nicht sein, dass man als Schwerbehinderter so im Stich gelassen wird...

Had a chat with the lady at the post office when I sent yet another letter to my insurance. Her parents are insured by the same company as me and she had nothing good to say about them either. Bunch of greedy assholes that deny everything and refuse to pay.

She recommended her insurance company tho and I might check that out. Apparently they actually pay. But we will see...

Side effects of chronic illness can be so embarrassing. My breath smells terrible. I brush my teeth, I floss, etc... But the bad smell comes from my stomach. Chronic gastritis or some shit.

As usual, I was told that the doctors don't know what is causing my rib pain and that I should just take painkillers. This pain has been going on for weeks. I can't constantly be on painkillers. I am trying not to be. I already take them often due to my chronic headaches.

GP: "You need an x-ray. Go to the orthopedist."

Orthopedist: "We don't do x-rays. Go to the radiologist."

Me @ my GP: "Can you refer me to a radiologist?"

GP: "We changed our mind. You don't need an x-ray. Go to the orthopedist.

Orthopedist: "We don't know how to help you. Go to the radiologist." *refers me to a radiologist.*

Radiologist: "We don't do that either. Go to a different radiologist."

Different radiologist: "Come immediately."

So now I got an appointment on Monday and then I gotta take the results back to the orthopedist to talk about it.

Another gem is the fact that I asked my GP to check my heart a while ago, she refused, and now my orthopedist is telling me to get my heart and stomach checked by my GP. That's gonna be fun to convince her...

Our healthcare system is a joke but I fear we are not the only ones... I have chronic pain in various body parts so I went to my GP and asked if maybe I could get an MRI for the entire body. She said that young people don't have problems with their organs and that it's most likely a psychological issue. Excuse me?? I can literally feel a bump on my arm that hurts and that's psychological?

I can still get a whole body MRI if I find someone who offers it, it just won't be covered by insurance...

I kind of have an issue. I keep picking at my surgery stitches. I had surgery before and back then I left the scars alone. But now I literally have to cover them with something so I don't make them bleed again...

My insurance is a joke.

Not long ago I had to fight really hard to make them accept that I am severely disabled (they wouldn't accept it even with all the proof) and that I am entitled to free insurance. Like. Per their own policy.

I got temporary free insurance because they believe that my conditions can get better with the right treatment.

So I am getting treatment. And I just called and asked if they cover that treatment.

They said no. Plus, whenever I tried to explain my situation, that lady on the phone kept interrupting me. She didn't even try to understand. I think they have some kind of rule to just deny everything they can somehow deny. One day I'm gonna namedrop them in a post where I collect every scummy thing they've done so far.

Does anyone know how to stay active with healing stitches? I have stitches on my leg and my chest currently and for a while I couldn't really move much at all. But now that they're healing I really want to stay active. Or rather: I have to. I need to stay active for my health. I'm not talking about extreme sports, just ideas to not lay around all day.
