Going to do a rainbow roll
the number one surefire way to make people remember something is to annoy them so hereās an annoying announcement that some of the douchebags i keep seeing are gonna get mad at and then remember because it made them mad
[sidenote: gay/bi/pan/etc, trans, and ace are not mutually exclusive identities and this comic does not imply that. just in case anyone tries to get picky. you can be het-ace-trans and acephobic/biphobic, aro-gay-trans and homophobic, etc etc. endless possibilities exist for being a shitty person.]
MHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Damn right. And you can also be racist. And you can be a bigot. Just because you may face marginalization doesn't mean you have a right to be an asshole.
Reblog if youāre an LGBTQIA+ blog AND you support aro and ace people
Absolutely

"Looking in the mirror, on the days I'm brave enough to do it, can shatter my exquisitely constructed sense of myself."
Buzzfeed asked people to illustrate their dysphoria in whatever form they preferred.Ā
The emotional and physical discomfort associated with gender dysphoria can be nearly impossible to describe to someone who has never experienced it. This particular type of dysphoria is often defined as a condition where an individual experiences discomfort or distress because their gender identity doesnāt match the gender they were assigned at birth. But what does gender dysphoria really feel like? What does it look like?

My work is focusing on this shit right now.

This is kind of a question for everyone, admins and followers. Am I the only one who experiences MORE misgendering after you come out to a certain person. I get "yeah girl" "oh girl" and stuff every once in a while from people in general but theres a couple people at work i came out too and ever since its like the "girl" stuff is in overdrive. "You go girl" "daddies little girl" "us girls gotta stick together" girl girl girl! I want to correct them when they do it but i feel like a broken record
I felt that way when I first came out to my family. Part of me thinks that they were trying so hard to be aware that it just caused them to mess up much more, I thought some just didnāt care, and I also thought that maybe I was just being hyper aware of misgendering and more sensitive to it.
If you talk with them often about how it feels and that itās disrespectful, thereās absolutely no reason they should continue. If they canāt transition with you, then maybe they should just leave out all gendered language until they can get a handle on it. Because thatās so rude and I am so very sorry you have to hear that. Itās damaging for both you and your relationship with them.
Followers have similar experiences? š

After I told my mom, it has definitely started happening much more. I feel like she has secretly waged a war against me. She told me she would always love me when I told her, but then she told me she thought I was confused. Then she called me on my birthday to attack me because Facebook included the right pronouns. Luckily some of my friends who know will correct her or respond to her question in the proper way. Which she later takes out on me. It is the most discouraging thing I have experienced because it is my mom. I wish she understood how I felt.
