I’ve said this before but I’m thinking about it again:

Kim feeling absolutely haunted by death at every turn of his life, losing his parents to a state sanctioned massacre, being spared by chance. growing up in a war zone. working in processing and handling corpses. killing six people. losing his partner. his position is the abattoir.

and like that’s just not how we or Harry perceive him at all. to us he’s life and the sunrise incarnate. the sound of his arrival wakes Harry up from the dead. he’s the only force in Harry’s life telling him that choosing to live is an option.

meanwhile Harry feels like a shambling corpse. he’s known that he’s getting worse for years. blue ocean hell. he had polio as a baby and he survived but he also didn’t get better. he’s a stubbed toe away from death.

and Kim sees this brilliant promise in Harry, this capacity to heal, this endless resilience and terrifying determination. after the first tribunal Kim is too scared of failure to go on. it’s Harry pushing him forward.

ragatha hate means nothing to me bc at this point it's just block/mute and move on but i legitimately cannot wrap my head around the fact that people can hate zooble. zooble has been the most reasonable mf in the entirety of the series, they blame themself for caine turning on them and has admitted themself that they know that he LIKES them in the first place. Like the therapy session in episode 3 literally ended with them listening to his woes with genuine attention (however apathetic), something that was never reciprocated along with the heavy implication that theyve done this routine time and time again. They reach out and care about people so much it is genuinely appalling people can still twist that and find a reason to hate them if it doesn't work out

its so aggravating how much potential ragatha holds with her dumbass coping mechanisms that rarely ever worked and the fact that she was the first non-developer human who ever joined the circus- how theres little to nothing ever showing what could have been years long experience of grief and mourning for the people who have left or are still present and i ESPECIALLY hate the fact that you could tie a neat little bow over the concept w the reasoning that its her own fitting tragedy; how she was never capable of truly getting close to anyone until she finally let the dam break after losing in the gun adventure. and it makes you wonder how in the hell she managed to live for so long if she was so shit at handling all these interpersonal relationships? is she really so used to doing all that alone? what the fuck is her problem
