Giving DADWC a try!

Please feel free to send prompts through via the ask box; I’m happy to add them to the list anytime, although—in the spirit of the thing—fills will happen on Friday evenings only.

I’ll write anything anywhere in the Dragon Age universe with a couple of exceptions. No character or lore fragment is too obscure, but I do tend to steer clear of writing in-depth about player characters.

Things I like: angst, fluff, hurt/comfort, silly/humorous prompts, lore.

Things I’m not great at: horror, anything super explicit.

I was hunting for deep mushrooms in a cave and a nug stared at me and it was something was wrong with the nug. Like its eyes weren’t nug eyes or like its skin didn’t fit right over its bones. Creepy eyes the nug stared and its little fingers twitched. I went away and then I came back another day and nug was still there it came closer this time. I ran away from the nug. That night I woke up and the creepy nug was there. It had a wrong face with teeth. The nug had a scar and I thought that’s weird it was just like my scar. The next day I went to the cave and said stay away. In the night the nug back and squeak but it sounded like words and crying. Then I woke up and on the floor. The nug was gone and someone in my bed and I realized I am the nug.

Venatori & girl go out for magic cart ride under full moons. they stop at on at a side of road. he turn to his girl and say: “baby, i love you very much”

“what is it honey?”

“our cart is broken down. i think the blood magic is run out, ill walk and get some more blood.”

“ok. ill stay here and look after our sickle. there have been news report of sickles being stolen.”

“good idea. keep the cart doors locked no matter what. i love you sweaty”

so the Venatori left to get blood for the cart. after two hours the girl say “where is my baby, he was supposed to be back by now”. then the girl here a scratching sound and a little note come in the cart window say LET ME IN

the girl doesn’t do it and then after a while she goes to sleep. the next morning she wakes up and finds her boyfriend still not there. she gets out to check and candlehop door hand hook cart door.

ask me if you want, but i’m nobody special

Bren isn’t entirely sure why people are coming to him for advice—but they are, so he’s determined to do a good job.

People are talking to Bren. Not just saying hello or asking him to reach things they can’t, but actually talking to him. It’s a little strange, but it’s nice, too. He’s always happy to hear from his fellow Shadow Dragons and their friends, even if sometimes their questions are a little puzzling.

It’s a real test of his equanimity, though, when the Viper himself comes to sit next to Bren at one of the little tables upstairs. Bren is just trying to eat something so that he can get back to unpacking the new shipments they’ve received today, but you don’t walk away from the Viper, so he stops wolfing down his flatbread in huge bites and tries to take a normal-sized one instead. Unfortunately, he’s distracted enough that he forgets to swallow the huge bite before taking the normal-sized one and ends up staring at the Viper while struggling to breathe around his mouthful of bread.

“I’ve heard you give pretty good advice,” the Viper says as though he hasn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary.

“Mmmf,” says Bren.

It’s not the first fire Anders has been in.

The streets are burning. The air is burning. It’s not the first fire Anders has been in, but it has been many years and he’s forgotten—or maybe it wasn’t like this last time—the way it sears the lungs, the way it’s still there when he closes his eyes.

The smoke chokes him as he runs. Every so often, there’s a new threat—angry templars, frightened mages, members of the City Guard he’s not sure he can trust.

One hand grips his staff. The other drops to his side, to the hilt of the dagger that he keeps in his belt, and he’s reminded of another world.

Fifteen years ago, Danarius offered Hawke a deal: return Fenris to his master and gain the support of the Tevinter Imperium. Hawke accepted.

“By rights,” the elf says, “I should kill you.”

This, too, is new for Dorian. He’s seen a lot of reactions to newly granted freedom, but death threats have not been among them.

“I’d really rather you didn’t,” he says.

“It’s what I am. A death sentence for anyone who dares threaten House Danarius.”

Dorian is beginning to get the sense that he has stepped into something larger than he realizes. He’s freed slaves trained to fight before—as entertainment, as bodyguards, as a magister’s private militia—but those words, it’s what I am; a death sentence ring somehow darker, somehow truer. It’s as though the elf believes them—not a slave’s duty, but a sacred one.
