first, i woke up. while still in bed, my cat joined me. i smoothed the blanket down and he laid right in front of my chest; i pet him for a few minutes. he left when he heard the sound of my brother walking up the stairs. i shouted to him that my cat wanted out, but he did not hear, so my cat stayed inside.
