“Tsuna-nee.” He only ever referred to her as ‘boss’ when in official settings, and he preferred to call her by name when in private- or at least in the presence of the other guardians. Gokudera still had complaints at times over it, but Lambo never really cared to listen to all of Gokudera’s nagging then… and he certainly didn’t now!
“I went to Japan last time to visit everyone to check in on them like you asked. They gave me the gifts for this year.” Lambo hands her a big box full of other gifts. There were gifts from Nana, I-pin, and of course the girls. The children added in letters and gifts made out of color paper. “Kyoko and Haru both worked together to secure a ticket so you can go to a cake tasting with them.” One of their favorite chains is releasing new flavors and they’re doing a big reveal and tasting party. As Haru-nee says: ‘They have good desserts in Italy too, but you can’t forget your Japanese roots! The desserts here are an experience too!’
“Look at mine, A box full of pachinko balls,” Lambo looked so proud of himself. How and when he got himself into a gambling habit, no one truly knew. “I won pretty big last time, so you can have the shiny balls like a trophy.” He’s lucky that Haru and Kyoko haven’t caught on yet, or he was in for a world of scolding. Maybe the influence was already there because the mafia did have dealings with gambling rings and what not. “Haha, you still doing things like that, kiddo?” Yamamoto walked into the room, patting Lambo’s shoulder. “You gotta work on that. If someone finds out, you’re in big trouble.” He couldn’t help but laugh. No matter how old he got, he was still pretty weak to his older sister figures. If they scolded him, he’d at least obediently listen for a while. “Yo, Tsuna. Happy birthday, found you a broach shaped like a rose. If you pull right here, there’s a hidden dagger. Pretty and dangerous.” He thought it was a fitting gift, anyways.
(OOC: In order to give you less to try to answer, I compiled gifts as much as I could, kekek As for Lambo… I’ve never forgotten 15 year old Lambo gambles and actually lost properties— and he sounded proud of it)
Tsuna just stared at the pile of presents for a moment, then laughed that quiet, soft laugh that always disarmed even the most stubborn. Well, some not yet, but she was working on it.
"Thank you… everyone." She said sincerely, already starting to rummage through the box of children's letters. "Please send them back, they made me happy. I promise I'll read them all. And Haru and Kyoko…" She smiled slightly, she could already picture them. "I'll go to the tasting. I won't miss the new desserts with them."
Then her gaze shifted to Lambo and his pachinko "trophies." Her eyebrows rose slightly.
"Lambo." She addressed him calmly, but there was already a familiar authority in her voice that was impossible to ignore. "Gambling is not something to be proud of." She took one of the shiny balls in her hand. "You know very well where this leads. I've seen too many people lose everything."
Tsuna softened for a moment and placed a hand on his head to ruffle his hair. "You are family. I don't want you to ruin your future for a few wins. Do you understand?"
Only then did she reach Yamamoto. "The brooch is beautiful… Thank you." Her eyes sparkled with amusement. "I'll save it for occasions when I need to be… elegant and dangerous."
Finally, she looked back at everyone present with genuine smile. She was on the verge of tears. "I'm happy to have you, guys."
