convallamarin-rpâ:
âOh come now, now you are simply trying to make me flustered!â She chuckled amused, nodding as she let him take his time looking it over. âBut then, I can do all those things and much, much more.~â Amusing herself for a moment, sheâd look over to the zombie and Oskar, observing their littleâŠplay date. Curious, really. Had Oskar ever shared a moment like that with someone else? She could not remember. Sheâd have to keep an eye on that⊠âHmhmm⊠Two yearsâŠâ She looked thoughtful, gazing back over at him with the tilt of her head. Two years for her was nothing, but then her concept of time was not that of mere mobs anymore⊠Was it? âI suppose so⊠Although, this is not just a ploy to make sure you will meet me again, is it?â She grinned, raising an eyebrow at him before swishing her head, the new pointer added on to the paper before him. âYou are welcome to visit our home whenever youâd like Warden. I have much more to offer.â Humming, she looked back over to the children. â⊠And I suppose your dog is allowed to. As long as he doesnât⊠distract Oskar too much. He has quite a lot of responsabilities at homeâŠâ Oskar was simply looking curious at the zombie hesitating back and forth, clearly pondering something. What, did he think it was gross he was holding it? Was he- Oh! Nevermind, there he went. Smiling happily with that, he licked off the crumbs and saliva from his claws as he reached out with his other hand to pet Icarus. âGood boy. What else do you wanna eat? We have a lot of things left to try!â Gasp. Picking up a slice of cake, he took a bite, humming happily. âThis one is my favorite! I havenât had it in so looong⊠You wanna try?â Not a little sheep moving to site side by side to Icarus, leaning against him as he offered his own slice.
The charred skeleton guffawed. The contract crinkling around the edges in his grip as he tries to hide his face from the cheeks down. His dessert clinking gently in his lap untouched but never spilling.
âWell, its not everyday that I get to have business talks along with baked goods and a mature companion,â he half mumbled before perking himself back up. Another glance down at the parchment showed that the amenities had been made. A low whistle escaped between his teeth, impressed at how easy she made it look. Quill in hand, he read it over once more, squinting for hidden fine print and even checking the back of the paper, before finally relenting and signing with a pleasant hum.
Warden smiled down at the newly decreed partnership. Or as much of a smile as a skull could make. But his attention was pulled upward and over to the others at Esketâs mention. Personally he didnât see much wrong with the picture. Icarus making âfriendsâ was a common thing. He just hoped this one wouldnât end up in another âaccidentâ as well. Canât have that blemish a newfound relationship.
âIcky can behave himself when ordered but outside travel isnât his usual routine. Might cause a little...â He clicked his teeth together as he tried to find gentle wordage, â-kerfuffle. Not to mention he does NOT do well in sunlight.â Warden laughs as he hands the signed contract back to her, as well as the quill.
âI can have him along maybe in a bag, but his job isnât protection. Merely emotional support. Nether, you can borrow him if youâd like. Stress from everyday life builds up. Good to have a deaf ear and a scattered brain listen to your problems every once in a while to help put things in perspective.â
Icarus glanced over at the mention of his nickname but quickly drew his attention back to the happy lamb next to him. It was hard to focus when Oskar was beginning to act like his old self again. He nodded sharply at the offer of cake and gave it a sniff to see if he could guess the ingredients.
â.... whyyyyy is thisss one... favoriiiite?â He leaned back on one arm just behind Oskar to make space for the other to inch closer. âWhat does iiiiit taste like?â
