"They had.. dark gray armour and it smelled of magic. So did their arrows-" The ender shook his head sadly, knowing this wasnt much of a description "...I couldn't get a better look. I was- confused. It happened so fast. I was still in shock when I noticed they had taken the egg" Larri took a moment, holding his own hands. He felt guilt. "... I wish I could've reacted faster. All I could do was chase them into the well.. and I showed up here"

"So far Im just trying.. to follow my gut?" Right on cue- his stomach growled in hunger. It seemed to surprise the ender for a second. "Oh- that is not what i ment by that- ⟟⋔ ⌇⍜⍀⍀⊬. ..Im just trying to see if this faint gut feeling takes me to the egg. I feel like its right"

The ender seemed worried, observing Warden for a second "They're.. rare?....What do they do with our dragon eggs here?"

“Larri? Larri! Well, its wonderful to meet you, Larri. Sorry to hear about your circumstances.” 

Warden took silent note that the Ender continued to hold his hand even after the handshake. He didn’t mind. He found the weight of Larri’s hand intriguing. He even let a boney thumb slide over large knuckles, having no doubt that Larri could crush his bones easily. He tilted his skull at the mention of an Egg.

“Egg?” he copies. “Like… Chicken Eggs? My boy, those are ALL over the place! It shouldn’t be too hard to find, haha~”

The ender shook his head. “No no, no chicken egg.. Those taste good though- Chicken too.. but am not a fan of the feathers..” ..nor the bones. But he guessed that’d be awkward to mention. 

“Its our dragon’s egg. Someone took it. I followed after but..” Larri let out a small huff. He couldn't sense the dragon’s egg at all. So he had probably spawned in an entirely different area to wherever it was. Larri had no leads. “...I’ll get it back. ..B-But for now, Im learning so much about the overworld! it’s.. a lot!”

Larri aknowledged the caress on his hand with a small glance and smile before now slowly letting go. The ender was used to physicals contact but.. these boney hands felt so fragile.. he had to be careful with this one.

 “I love the overworld so far, there’s so many different people fun to meet, like you!”

Warden: Ohoho! What a cute little lost child! Or- Are you a child? It is hard to tell with Enders these days. They come in ALL shapes and sizes! @ask-strangerdanger

“I’m not a child! Havent been for years already!… but I am lost”

“…. And cute? Um.. thanks! You’re a cute skeleton too!”

The Wither Skeleton laughs at the awkward response and takes a step closer.

"Please forgive my assumption," he says with a quick bow. "Your scales just gleam with youth so I mistook you for a youngling. But! Where are my manners?"

Without asking, Warden gently grasps Larri's hand and gives it a little shake.

"My name is Warden~! And what may I call you?"

Perhaps it was just a natural reaction- but when the Skeleton took a step closer, Larri moved a leg back as if to ready to move away- that is until the other bowed. The ender seemed to like the friendly gestures.

He gave Warden’s boney hand a small shake back too but didnt bother letting go while replying to him, instead, the ender observed the skeleton’s boney hand with interest before his starry eyes looked back up at the talking skull. 

“It’s alright.. I havent seen anyone else with scales like these here yet..” he sounded a tad sad when saying this. “Warden... nice to meet you! ⋔⊬ ⋏⏃⋔⟒- ah- My name is Larri. ” 

“I did say i was lost... but to be honest Im not sure where I’m suppoused to go in first place. Im looking for an egg that was taken from my island... but i’ve just about no idea where to start looking and i keep getting distracted with everything”

Jes had to issue carrying the triplets like pomme would. One on his back and two strapped to his chest.. Jes still held them close with some of his aura for extra safety though. He wanted a free ‘hand’ in case Pomme were to fall.

“…something magic? .. Oh! Oh…” it got him thinking on the last hour. That explained it.

He seemed.. sad for a moment. And quickly picked up his usual act.

“Weird me out? Of course not, Pomme! It’s all fine, stuff happens.. Im just glad you’re all better now. Im sure the pups are too”

The disappointment in his tone was not lost on her. She fretted for a second. She could handle being an embarrassment, but to hurt the feelings of a friend by leading them on… She tried to keep her tone light, taking on the playful manner Jester used often, “Don’t take it the wrong way Jester! I do think you’re an absolute joy to be around and I welcome you into my company whenever you’d like~”

Speaking of pups, her anxiety spiked. She jumped up and darted over to check them over, “The pups!! Are the girls okay?? They didn’t get hurt at all did they??” She kissed and smoothed their hair as they babbled and wiggled at all the excitement going on.

“I wasn’t taking it the wrong or any way.” He sounded defensive there. The ghost hadnt had his feelings hurt in a long.. long time. He wanted to brush it off and ignore what he felt.

Yes. The pups. This he could talk about more calmly. Jester showed her the triplets and how they were safely strapped on his chest and one on his back- plus his ghost aura was there too for comfort and extra safety. “They’re completely fine- they were probably just surprised and worried for their momma. I’d never let anything bad happen to them in my watch, Pomme.”

He.. didnt hand her back any of them just yet. “How about I carry them for a while more? finish their walk- I want to make sure you’re not still dizzy from the magic, you know?”

So, Maaz! Why does Asalie need to go to Glitzville so urgently?

“It is very simple, little ghost; I need them to renew my contract for my hotel there. They sent me some letters about ‘too much energy use’ and ‘Glitzville will fall,’ so I have sent them a gift. And tiny Asalie has the key.

“If they take too long well… Glitzville may fall out of the sky.”

Maaz gave a smile and sipped his wine, “You are lucky that you are so cute, otherwise I might have gotten mad~ But you are wrong there.”

He shifted a little and said, “It is not about destroying Glitzville, it is about the luxury of the place! I want my hotels to be as extravagant and as incredible as possible… They promised me I would get that before I built the hotel. But, I have the resources to maintain it. Others in Glitzville do not.”

“I asked if you were worried because it is very unlikely that they will dawdle in the negotiations. I really do love this planet, you can buy just about anything!”

“Oh, I know im cute. I’m a delight to whoever’s eyes are lucky enough to see me~” 

Jes floated over the table while listening to Maaz explanation. He looked.. unamused. 

“Well, it’s true. Money means alot in this planet. ...But, let me understand- since you have the resources, then.. you’ll maintain Glitzville as a whole? or are you going to mess with the rest of the stores up in that floating piece of ground?”

“...I’m sorry. I’m not sure I understand.. So Your hotel is consuming enough energy like to make Glitzville be close to falling?.. and you sent Asalie there?”

The nervous bat aproached Estee. On his hand: a tray with snacks on it. “H-Hello! Enjoying the party?”

“ah I think so”she replied “I will be the honest i have not been to one of these things by mineself.”

"Oh!" His nervous expression was no more and he smiled rather excitedly "Really? for me too!.. would you like a snack? i think they might have starbits or.. butter in them.. and crakers."

“Hello Sir. Would you fancy a drink?”

He gave a side eyed glance to the Bombat and blew smoke from between his fangs, holding the cigar casually in his hand. “You hardly seem confident,” he put out quite bluntly, and rudely. He gave Adriel a once over and croaked, “Yes, I would.” Upon receiving the drink he gave another look.

“Tell me, are you even old enough to be working at this establishment? Not to mention I’ve yet to see you here. New hire I take?”

Adriel felt confused. Confident? did he mean the question? well... he was nervous to speak to such a big man.. and a king!

"Y-Yes.. Im new around, but im old enough to work- and to work here too"

"T-This place has so many lights and sounds, it's pretty interesting.. do you like it here?"

“We don’t get to speak alot, really”

“Do you.. have a lot of friends?”

“I’m sure they must be very fond of you.” he thought for a moment about the question.

“I think I have 2 or 3…? A lot of people don’t like me since I’m a minikoopa.”

“T-They’d probably leave me behind if anything dangerous happened” Adriel nervously laughed, holding the starbits’ basket closer to himself.

“A.. mini.. I’m sorry but- what is a minikoopa?” The curious bat began to look at Brody up and down, trying to figure out of he’s read about minikoopas in his books, but no bell rang in his head.

“I hope they don’t. You don’t seem like someone anybody should leave behind.”

He didn’t have much of a reaction to the question, he was used to people forgetting or having never heard of his species. “Ok so you know how sometimes animals are really big but people love them so they breed a smaller version? Minikoopas are like that except we’re clones from Bowser & almost everyone hates them. I’m the last one.”

Adriel looked confused and he just held the starbits basket closer to himself.

“i guess i must’ve missed books about…koopas… You’re the last..The last minikoopa?”

Brody nodded. “We didn’t get to exist for very long so I don’t see why there’d be many books about us if any at all. But yeah me and my brother Enzo were the last 2 alive and he had to go on not too long ago.”

“...Are you sure there’s no more? M-Maybe there’s more minikoopas somewhere- hiding?” Adriel might’ve been projecting, but he didn’t think too much about it. “He had to go.. where?”

She looked up at him and smiled, stepping away from him and loosening her already gentle hold on his arm.

“You remember how to get to the kitchen, right?”

Adriel had a big smile. While Sera was busy, he had been exploring the place … more than once it was because he had gotten lost in the first place. Of course, being sure in himself didn’t last long and he looked nervous again

“Umm… Y-Yes. I think I do… Do you want yours made in any particular way?””

Sera shook her head, “No, I trust your judgement. I’m not a very picky eater.”

She backed away a bit more, keeping her gaze on him a few moments longer.

“I’ll meet you in the kitchen in a few minutes then.”

She turned and walked off quickly to go find something appropriate for picnic use. It was a quick walk, a few turns and she came to Jones and Jaime’s room, which also happened to be the servants quarters where they kept most of the linens. She pushed the door open and entered the room, a bit shocked and relieved not to find anyone inside. The castle was huge, it made sense for them to be somewhere exploring or spending their time. She idly wondered how Jaime was adjusting to life here.

But back to the task at hand, she walked to a trunk by the door and pulled it open, pushing blankets and sheets out of the way until she found one that would be a good size for two people. She wasn’t sure where she’d find a basket though…

Sera looked around the room, scanning it quickly for somethign similar. She found a little wicker basket with a few balls of yarn and knitting needles sitting by Jones’ bed and picked it up. 

“I’m sure they wouldn’t mind…” She brushed the knitting supplies out of the basket and onto Jones’ bed. With the folded blanket set inside her newly acquired basket, Sera left the room and started her way back to the kitchen to meet up with Adriel.

Adriel couldn’t get his eyes off Sera... until she made the first turn around a corner. It took little afterwards for his wings to grow big enough for him to fly. It’d be faster this way to get to the kitchen. He wouldn’t want to keep Sera waiting for long, after all.

He was relieved to actually get to the kitchen on his first try. It was odd to use someone else’s food but.. Sera had said it was okay before.

Adriel was already halfway done preparing the sandwiches when he heard someone get closer to the kitchen- so he hurried it up, his tail moving side to side nervously.

Adriel patiently waited outside the room. He took his tail to toy with.. Sera didn’t look well. He just wanted to help her. She was important to him, after all!

He took a step away to let Sera walk out of the room comfortably…

“Oh, no, it wasn’t- don’t worry about that.. W-What are you hungry for? i can’t come up with anything…” and even if he could, it probably wouldn’t be as tasty. Sera deserved a good meal.

“..Those clothes look very cute on you, by the way” The bombat spoke with all honesty.

Sera smiled and tucked her face behind the collar of her coat in embarrassment.

“Thank you, it’s been a while since I’ve had to dress myself, so I’m glad you think so…”

She pulled one of his arms close to her in a weak half-hug, he felt warm and inviting. Her stomach was completely empty, she was so hungry she didn’t care what they ate just as long as she could have it soon.

“Probably something light, not oily or fatty. I haven’t eaten in a while, so I wouldn’t want to make myself sick on accident.”

She thought a moment, her eyes feeling heavy–she really had neglected herself lately.

“I’d suggest ordering something for delivery, but I feel like some fresh air would be nice…”

He wasn’t expecting his arm to be held... but Adriel didn’t mind. Sera felt so.. fragile. 

“Um.. mm.. what about.. sandwiches? Although we could..probably have those here. Ah! it’s kind of cloudy and the breeze feels nice so we could eat outside? like- a picnic!.. “

“Unless you dont like sandwiches then.. then we could think of something else?”

Sera averted her gaze and opened her mouth to speak. It was almost as if her stomach spoke for her, grumbling loudly at the mention of food.

She placed her hand over her stomach, laughing in embarrassment.

“Sure, I’d love to, let me get changed, I promise I won’t take long.”

Sera closed the door and took a few minutes to pick out a quick outfit. Alfred normally insisted on choosing what she wore every day, it had been like that for years, so it was a little overwhelming looking at her overflowing closet.

 She caught sight of herself in a nearby mirror, the bags under her eyes dark and heavy. she pushed her fingertips against one of them, feeling it gently. From here she noticed how much paler she’d gotten, she had lost a bit of weight too…

The sight of herself brought tears to her eyes, she couldn’t believe she let someone as important to her as Adriel see her in such a state. Without another thought, Sera changed into some warm, bulky clothes in the hopes that it would hide her sickly appearance a little. Some food and exercise would be good for her.

The door to her study creaked open again and she stepped out, fingers tangling in her hair as she braided loosely it over her shoulder. 

“Sorry to keep you waiting, I hope it wasn’t too much to ask…”

Adriel patiently waited outside the room. He took his tail to toy with.. Sera didn’t look well. He just wanted to help her. She was important to him, after all!

He took a step away to let Sera walk out of the room comfortably...

Sera looked from her roommate down to the bag in his hands, the colorful star bits made her mouth water a little. When was the last time she ate?

She reached a thin hand out of the door and gently took it from Adriel.

“Thanks.” She looked at him one last time, her irritation dissolving into exhaustion. Seeing Adriel put her at ease a bit, it had been a long time since she’d seen a familiar face she found <i>calming.</i>

There was a dense silence between them now, the door still opened just a crack, her pale bony hand still holding the paper bag on the opposite side of the door.

This would be the moment Sera would shut herself away again to continue her work, but something in her wanted Adriel to stay.

Sera wasn’t sure what else to say though…

The thanks made Adriel smile. Maybe she wasn’t angry at him after all?

“N-No problem!” The bombat fidgeted for just a moment before pulling out a flyer. It was the casino’s

“G-Guess what, Sera? I... I might be a waiter here. Just to earn some extra coins... It looks like it’ll be a fun event! although im not really into gambling...” He offered the paper to Sera “If you want to take a break...why dont you come?”

Valentine hesitated a moment but remembering he was wearing his gloves he eased a bit and took the hand giving it a firm shake, “Lovely name, darling. For now you fill out the necessary paper work,” he snapped his fingers and over came Richard with the aforementioned paper work, handing it over to Adriel.

“Name, my name- thank you, Sir... “ Adriel quickly read over the papers, hoping there wouldnt be anything too complicated to answer. He nodded at the instruction “S-So I just have to fill these up... okay. Yes can do” 

He walked to a flat surface and began to write the needed info. Adriel took little to fill up the papers, trying to sound as common as possible
