This only just came to mind, but I was scrolling on tiktok and found a vi edit, and her mother was in it.
And I found it quite disturbing that caitvi fans find the comparison of Vi's mother and Caitlyn who look similar, in which I sure as hell don't, to be somewhat "healthy" and cute for Vi and how it's only mentioned once in the entirety of their dynamic.
Why is is that Felicia, Vi's own mother, who was KILLED by the very oppressive system that Caitlyn works and represents, is being compared to the woman who's at the center of that very problem.
"Felicia and Connol would support Vi's relationship with Caitlyn and would adore her as their own!" ....Mother fucker be SOOOOOO fucking fr right now.
We can collectively agree that we can't say shit about HOW they would, because we don't even know that much about them or their personalities aside from the fact Felicia has more characteristics linked to Jinx, or that they fought in a war for change, FOR their daughters.
But I can sure as fuck say that they wouldn't like the fact that Vi is with an OPPRESSOR who literally embodies the very thing they fought against and DIED to. And it's quite sickening they take the opportunity to romanticise the fact they look alike.
"It's not that deep" I fear it is gng
The fact that Amanda has collectively made this narrative, THROUGH CAITLYN AND VI, that "oppressors are people too" and that it's okay to be a bootlicker if they strip you of eveything you are, your identity, your own dignity, etc, is nothing because the rich will give you everything you were robbed by, is actually fucking gross.
Vi shouldn't have to leave her home for the sake of Caitlyn's own consequences and "accoplishments" that she only preserved for herself.
So no, despite not even knowing much about Vi's own parents, I think we can all collectively agree that no the fuck they wouldn't like Caitlyn, nor how their little girl was treated by her.
