Broods in silence, crouched on the rooftops.

She completely lands on the rooftop, surveying the city of Manhattan.

The caped figure steps out of the shadows and glared.

"What are you doing here?" Batwoman glared, keeping her voice disguised.

"Some of the mobsters have taken an interest in a black market of illegally obtained weapons--- along with obtaining live prehistoric fauna as assets, for money. Even the villains i deal with have taken an interest. I'm going to find out why."

Batman growled, cape draping around him like a death shroud as he stared off into the city below.

"It's also my problem too, considering I know someone who is well versed in prehistoric fauna. She actually works as the curator with knowledge in paleontology." She replied, grating her teeth with a clench, as if she meant to come off with a growl like tone to it.

"Remember, this is my city, not yours, Batman." She scoffed.

The black armor clad vigilante turned his head around, as if the last bit got his attention.

"Really?" He asked.

Batman awaited an answer from the other vigilante, who was pausing for a second to think of a coherent response.

"Yes." She replied bluntly, taking out her grappling gun, upon hearing through her communicator that there was a bank robbery in progress, two civilians were killed, so she had to respond accordingly.

{Christina Prince: All units, robbery in progress. I repeat, robbery in progress. Suspects are 5 ft, 9 inches, armed with assault rifles, one wearing a blue trench-coat; and the other, a red trench-coat and fleeing by vehicle. If you have any information related to the suspects, please let the police know immediately.}

Firing her grappling gun, the vigilante took off, swinging from rooftop to rooftop before Batman could get another answer from her.

Of course, wasting no time, Batman would deploy out his own grappling gun and fired, taking off after her.

He had heard of the heroine through her feats and accomplishments upon the vigilante's first appearance, and he took it upon himself to keep a close watch on her, so long as she does not kill.

Upon arrival at the bank, she noticed the entrance to the building was blown up and in flames and would not waste any more time dousing the flames with the closest fire extinguisher.

Examining the surroundings of the interior of the building, Kaitlyn would then detect the bodies of the victims that were killed in the incident.

"Jesus, two victims. Both shot dead with a bullet wound to the abdomen, albeit a fatal one, and one to the head. I need to find out who was responsible and why did this occur." She said to herself before calibrating her cowl to tune in to her evidence scanner and scan the area for clues.

Upon the timing of when she had said those words, Batman appeared at the scene and examined the bodies for any clues via detective vision. The status of the victims read 'deceased' before tuning in with his own evidence scanner to investigate the crime scene.

"Surmising around the time the robbery took place, the armed suspects tried fleeing with the bag of money they stole from the vault, but two civilians who work here tried to stop the suspects from getting away. The bullet fired at a trajectory was shot from at the door. And it seems that the suspects feared that they would be rat out to the police, so they killed them to prevent word from spreading." Batman replied.

Upon surveying the crime scene, Kaitlyn noticed bloody footprints and scanned them to see who the footprints belonged to. Her expressions widened slightly.

"Strange... the footprints belonged to one of the suspects named David Lopez, and there seems to be a bullet hole on a wall where the bullet ricocheted. The other suspect's identity appears to be Richard Shannon, both with a promising future only to throw it away down the drain when they turned to a life of crime. Possibly due to an addiction to gambling and violence. But what was the motive to cause something like this to happen?"

She asked. With another clue found, the mystery deepened. The question remains as to who the identity of the victims were.

"Odd.. the bullet seems to have a trace of fingerprints on it. After the bullet was fired, it punctured the lungs and chest of the victims before it ricocheted off and ended up here." Batman said, taking a device to cut a piece of brick wall with the shattered bullet for further analysis. And the process begins very quickly.

"As for the suspects's whereabouts, we'll need to follow the trail of footprints that lead towards what was left of the entrance." He explained as soon as he finished drilling on the wall and took a piece of it for further investigation, pointing towards the trail of footprints.

Batwoman also found another clue. Upon scanning the bodies and reviewing the evidence, she later realized in horror after realizing who the deceased victims were. And unfortunately, this hit home for the vigilante, setting off her rage.

"The victims's names are Joseph Phillips and Caitlin Tran, both worked here for years, and according to the database, they were close friends with Daniel and Katherine Chang, and when they were shot, they lied in a pool of blood similarly to how Kaitlyn's parents were shot. Those idiots are going to pay for their crimes." She growled angrily, this became personal as it brought her flashbacks to when she witnessed her parents being killed, dying in a gutter for no reason at all.

After piecing the puzzles together, and compiling all the evidence he and Kaitlyn had accepted, Batman contacted Alfred and informed him of their findings. All that was left on finding where the suspects were last seen and approaching.

"Alfred, search for everything you can on the two suspects and approximately where they were last seen. Send the police on the findings we've found and the data analysis too." Batman said through his communicator.

{Alright, Master Bruce. Let's see.. ah, hmm... they were last seen at the docks where the cargo bay is at, off the coast of New York City, sir.} Alfred explained.

"Noted, patch through to Batwoman and synchronize through her communicator. She'll want to know more." Batman spoke with a growl.

{Very well, Master Bruce. Do try to keep out of the dirty muck there. Remember who has to clean your suit.} The voice of his butler said before the link cut off.

"Let's go. We don't have much time." He says gruffly before deploying out his grappling gun.

"Hmph. Sure." She snorted, scoffing before deploying her own grappling gun and both fired onto the closest buildings to follow the trail of footprints.

And Kaitlyn was pretty angry, vowing to make them pay for their heinous crimes, syncing to Alfred's communications eventually before running alongside the Dark Knight to pursue the suspects and bring them to justice.

Immediately after, the Dark Knight fired his grapple gun, and he immediately took off in pursuit.

The caped crusader had a reputation for striking fear into the hearts of Gotham's most notorious arch criminals.

Batman wasn't one to be trifled with. He was very talented in his work as a detective and a vigilante. Hopefully so, there will be no killing today. He could understand her anger because he has been there before. He's wanted to kill the murderer of his parents and easily could have at any time.

But it isn't what his parents would want for him, neither would it be what Kaitlyn's parents wanted for her.
