Anyway I think it was an important reminder to self that early game bringer of chaos feels like targeted punishment and that while that feeling fades, it remains a slog. All through out.

Great experiment, I suffered, the Wormeater Brog that’s meant to be the blade combo tutorial made me cry, and I spent 1.5 hours grinding out attempts against the Megalo Aligo.

Quite like that Uetoto’s power to manipulate memories isn’t cutting it with the force of whims and capriciousness that is Leviathan Leiji. Kind of reminds me of Yachiru’s fight with Guenael… yeah.

Also now I’m wondering which of Razberry’s traits will help him against the members of the six fingers who (might) have infiltrated his school (Jackapo Institute): the mini-dandy (Hyudarin) and the skeleton (Maemaro).

Maybe this ties back to how they ate in their meeting with the 13 crowns for the Demon King candidate plan? Leiji leaves few foods unsampled and his eating order is dictated by his whims (perhaps leaving few stones unturned and in an order unexpected to enemies who rely on patterns of behaviour, likely Uetoto and Miko) ; Iruma leaves nothing uneaten/unconsumed (here I think Shiida and how she’s been taken by Iruma’s kindness, or just the (semi)common occurrence of other demons being strongly attracted by one of Iruma’s traits and getting swept up in the rest of him) ; maybe with Razberry it would be how meticulously he eats + how that seems to surprise other demons given his personality + his ability to get rid of the things he doesn’t like with little notice from the person he’s dumping them onto.

Also I think Razberry’s position in Jackapo will be “respected but not liked” (as a sort mix up to Iruma and Leiji’s mix of “liked and respected”)

He earned the wrath of the Seven strongest demons (the Ringleaders) on his first day, then went on to (partially) follow through on that (for now.

I have an idea for how it plays out, and that is that the scene just opens with Meomaro on the ground and Razz over him, having already outed him.

But that's just my idea.

Wish we got to see Lucy use her whip(s) even more in FT.

In fact, I think celestial spirit mages are generally good candidates for a secondary magic speciality (this was a thought I had a LOT before they introduced Star Dress). Like… a very ummm a very tame kind of secondary magic?

Something like small-time enhancement/enchantment magic in Lucy’s case, given she’s already shown to be VERY athletic. Like just… enhancing what she can already do. Making her whip deadlier. And making it markedly less costly than summoning and maintaining spirits.

Maybe something that we see a lot more of following Phantom Lord, where we are most openly shown the weakness of Celestial Spirit mages (without the keys…). Like by the time we reach Love and Lucky, we get to see that she’s massively improved in hand-to-hand combat (like yes, Lucy Kick was a fun gag, but also… it could have been a fun finisher!)

I think that may have led really nicely into Star Dress Leo being the first one she acquires given how Loke fights (and how she fights while in that Star Dress)? Then Star Dress Aquarius could be the very last she gets as a result of the broken key and the grief.

I’m really enamored with the dynamic of two characters who work perfectly in tandem, like pacific rim drift compatible level, but they don’t like each other. It’s not even as strong an emotion as hate it’s just a very neutral-negative dislike, but they still act in perfect concert and their individual abilities are fully complementary
