saw ur post about Bruce being Weird about Damian looking like Talia and I had a Thought:
Damian has his mother's eyes and maybe that's why Bruce can't look away from them. Just staring straight into Damian's soul, taking in every micro expression when he slides into him. He doesn't always mean to but he find Talia there. Doesn't matter if Damian is on his knees eagerly sucking him down or if Bruce is in between Damian's legs - Bruce can't look away from his son's eyes. And when Damian closes his eyes or tries to change a position to face away, Bruce grabs him by the jaw with a gruff, "eyes on me."
When Talia fucks Damian she licks along the jawline he inherited from his father. He buried his face between her legs and she tangles her fingers in the inky blackness of his hair (the same color and similar texture to her beloved), yanking him closer to her. I am so unwell about this whole concept... "eyes on me" is actually sending me straight to the stratosphere.
Thinking like, with Damian's face between Talia's legs, only looking at his hair, she could almost imagine it is Bruce. Teaching Damian how to eat her out just like he would so it's identical. Aughhh. I know they're both so aware of themselves and losing control to the point where they would be unaware of what comes out of their mouths is maybe a little far fetched--but Talia tossing her head back and moaning Bruce's name when she comes on Damian's tongue. Bruce with Damian on his knees, sighing Talia's name while he fucks his throat.

So obviously the only option is to fuck Damian himself.
Only Dick keeps moaning Bruce's name too, and that's one more person Damian want to be loved by that's using him as a proxy.

i wonder if anyone has ever written paranormal brudick before but since it's giving me brainworms i want to share it with you too.... a piece of brudick a day to keep all the wounds freshly fingered dick everyday's life seems to worsen everyday since he moved to bludhaven, it's like all of these bad things suddenly fall upon him (and he's all alone, because the bad luck is isolating him somehow) and he kept dreaming about this thing that he can't ever grasp, something he knows that he knows but is never there when he tried to remember... he gets sleep paralysis now and then, sometimes it's just caging him, other times he felt like he was being strangled, squeezed under all that invisible weight whether bruce is the paranormal phenomenon, if it's no cape and all mythic, or scientifically, that all this stems from the stress of leaving but dick is convinced it's paranormal (hes wrong in the head like that), it's up for interpretation p/s: funny thing, in my culture, there's a word for this phenomenon (it can be scientifically explained ofc, but what's the fun in overanalyzing) and also as part of the folklore, if it's actually a phenomenon then damn, you’ve had connections to other beings (entities, spirits, etc) and it usually stems from the fact that in one of your past lives, you and this “being” promised each other a forever after and that promise stuck even to this life, even when the “being” cannot come to this life as a living human (loosely referencing to the vow) (sometimes this “phenomenon” is helpful and protective, other times well… i mean it can be extremely destructive)
oooooh anon this is really interesting! there's definitely some fabulous paranormal brudick/Bruce&Dick out there (these two, one 8k children's fantasy-flavored onshot where Bruce is a magician and one 140k behemoth by the author of the Nightwing protocol where Dick is a faerie, come immediately to mind.) but what I've read is generally focused on when Dick is younger (maybe because the manor lends itself so well to supernatural stuff.) idk that I've seen very much when Dick is in Bludhaven! however I'm new to brudicking so if any of my followers have recs please chime in.
anyway I love this concept! this piece of folklore is new to me but it's really compelling.... the vow continuing to haunt a Dick who maybe never made it at all is so good. unlike a wedding vow the candle ceremony does not have an exit condition! you don't get out of it when you die! the bit about it being a hangover from a past life has me thinking about what if this is a world in which Dick died when the joker shot him in the arm and Bruce went off the deep end (maybe trying to resurrect him?) and became this extrahuman Thing that's haunting Dick in his very mundane reincarnation. ooooh tasty. (and then of course if we want to go in a "nothing paranormal is actually happening here at all" there is always ric grayson to consider. Ric who feels haunted by things he can't explain, who feels like someone is always watching him, who feels hot and cold at odd moments. tbis can fuck up your sense of reality quite a lot; so can stress. and also, the bats ARE always watching him!)

i think one of many common fandom attitudes towards bruce and dick's relationship that always rubs me in the wrong way the most is how there's always this perception that dick hates bruce for all their differences. that dick looks back at his time with bruce and being robin and feels nothing but resentment and regret and thus deliberately making his decision being nightwing as a way to completely detaching himself from bruce bcs "obviously dick wants nothing to do with him now".
dick made it clear that he cant be batman and never want to. that he and bruce are very different ppl. he doesn't want to be like bruce and yet never once he treated bruce/batman as something repulsive bcs of it to the point dick feel the need to separate and fully estrange himself from him.
if anything dick admitted that bruce has always been a part of dick and he looks up to him so much nightwing consciously become everything bruce and batman's stand for.
in nightwing 2016, dick said he became nightwing for his parents and bruce bcs he owe it all to them and even stated that his symbol is brand extension of batman.
throughout nightwing 1996 you will always find dick mentioning bruce/batman and how often dick unabashedly applying and manipulating his teaching and methods to suit his own situations.
he learned from bruce, took that knowledge, and created something that belonged to him. dick took the best parts of the bruce/batman and leave the worst parts behind then he formed it all into something that’s uniquely his.
dick acknowledged that he and bruce are two different people. bruce has always been agreed to this even went as far as admitting dick is the better person between them both. dick can't and won't lives in the same way bruce lives, stuck in the same place and not able to move forward. to trust freely.
BUT it's important to know that aside from dick's parents, bruce, for all his many shortcomings is also the reason why dick had the confidence to just leap in. as much as bruce was saved by dick, dick was also saved by bruce. dick knows this deep in his heart and in fact never shying away to remind bruce of this.
ppl always acts like dick's "im not you" is presented towards bruce with vitriol and disgust, completely disregarding the fact that for every "im not you" coming from dick's mouth it's always followed by "bcs i had you, bruce", a sincere simple gesture of dick's gratitude recognition as well as devotion to bruce.
thinking that dick bore this sense of superiority and hatred bcs how "revolting" and "inconvenience" bruce is as individual is such a flawed reading when in reality dick is one of very few ppl that consistently showing bruce grace and compassion. the love trust and devotion to bruce is just so baked into dick's character to the point there's should never be a narrative that questioning his stance on this matter.
nightwing and dick's overall sense of self of was never meant to be his derogatory rejectmen to bruce and batman. i think it's very important to comprehend that nightwing is not only the tool for dick to finally find himself outside batman and robin but also a means and another chance for him to connect and stand beside bruce and batman as his own person with stronger more solid foundation.
this is exactly why bruce and dick's relationship is something that others cannot ever replicate bcs not only it was built by their exact mirrored trauma but also bcs bruce and dick just get each other so much. out of everyone in batfamily, dick is the only one that actually accepts and understand bruce to an intimate degree. both of them are extremely dedicated to the same cause (bruce with batman and dick with robin AND nightwing) like no others because there's a recognition on their shared trauma and personal issues that they then saved each other from.
bruce and dick and them as batman and robin then batman and nightwing is just so cosmically and narratively intertwined to the point it would leave them not entirely themselves if their lives don't intersect with each other. i saw someone said dick is not bruce's opposite rather than that he is bruce and batman's continuation like dawn and first ray of light after the darkest hours of night and that's really sum it all. on the deeper more profound reading, i really think you can't ever separate dick/nightwing from bruce/batman. for the lack of better words they both reek of each other it's actually insane.
