Harsh truth, but DNI lists are not a way to establish boundaries. Boundaries are about what you do when people cross a line. It would be more accurate to make an IDI, as in "I Don't Interact" with xyz.

Even more harsh truth is DNI's attract the exact kind of people you claim to not want. I believe some people use DNIs hoping they work, but others enjoy it when people break their DNI so they can play the victim. DNI's seem to me to be more a performance than a genuine way of dealing with people you disagree with.

You absolutely have every right to not want to interact with certain people, especially if they espouse bigotry. But that's what the block button is for. A healthy boundary is choosing not to interact with people who see DNI's as an invitation to clown.

Using DNI's is your choice, but I've been online for decades and you can't impose a boundary by dictating someone else's behavior, only your own.

You can't change people but you can change how you react to them.

Noticing a trend recently

Person A - "Person B DNI, I'll kill you if you even glance at my blog!!"

Person A likes person B's post

Persona A reblogs person b's post

Person A likes person B's post

Person A likes person B's post

Person A follows person B

Person B actively avoids interacting with person A ( OR DMS A and lets them know they're on A's DNI list).

Person A realises Person B is in their Dni and sends hateful anon asks to person B for 'interacting' with them or makes a callout post about person B being evil and hiding their true opinions.

It is more common on twitter but I still see it here at times, like you made your own dni at least research a person before following so you don't feel 'betrayed' they didn't block you straight away or assumed they were an 'exception' (I have noticed 1 or 2 dnis saying 'if I follow you feel free to ignore the dni' but that's an extremely small %)

So which person did you trust 100% by accepting their word (which was twisted to hell and back with biases to force you to choose a 'side' by painting it as Extreme as possible) as fact without;

1. Thinking for yourself

2. Quickly googling it

3. Asking people who actually use the term what it means

4. Avoiding echo chambers

5. Avoiding Generalised opinions without sources

6. Casting doubt on extreme opinions without checking for yourself.

Proship= For Shipping

(So even if you dislike many ships and disagree, as long as you don't harras people for it you would be considered proship)

Proship ≠ Problematic shipping

(people who are proship may have Problematic ships BUT it's not a full circle, personally I'm squicked out by many problematic stuff yet I'm proship)

I deactivated the persona-fanboy account

There were so many people with DNI's condoning violence interacting with it I wasn't comfortable with keeping it up especially considering persona 4 has Rise, Kanji & the female homeroom teacher (don't worry no spoilers) I assumed the antishippers wouldn't interact, they did anyways

which I find very hypocritical.

Anyways I refuse to help make it easier for people to engage with content If they want me dead.

Weren't the flushed shoulders were also bashed for and labeled as the 'tumblr' art style (or maybe it was the SJW artstyle) as some users got popular with a certain style & people saw the style as offensive?

It seems the 'proshipper artstyle' is just recycling the 'tumblr artstyle' or 'sjw artstyle' complaints without knowing what qualifies as the artstyle they complain about.

I'm aware i may be wrong with my assessment as i wasn't on Tumblr myself at that stage, I was just watching YouTubers complain to avoid those styles otherwise your X, Y & Z so it was a lot of recycling odd complaints.

What I could recall the complaints were: flushed shoulders knees and finger, having overweight characters or having oddly shaped characters, having hairy arms and legs on women, having a very western cartoon style, men being drawing too feminine & women drawing too masculine etc (I think it was anyone making a similar style to miku binder Anderson(?) drawing was bashed for those artstyles and labeled as either the Tumblr or SJW artstyle)

Anyways why I posted my original post was because I assumed similar to the SJW/ Tumblr artstyle they had at least some consistency with complaints ❤️
