i truly think unless you are autistic you can’t comprehend the social isolation and alien feeling that comes with it. and i’m not saying it’s all bad or you’re doomed to be lonely forever if you’re autistic but it’s different to other forms of loneliness. i went to a comedy show alone tonight because i didn’t have anyone to go with me, it’s a friday night and i don’t want to waste away my 20s by stopping myself doing things just because i’m alone. and i mean it was a great show and i had a fun time but being in a room full of different groups of people almost makes your own aloneness more apparent. i felt invisible really, but at the same time like my sitting in silence during the intervals when everyone’s chatting was so obvious. idk what the point of this post is but yea!
