Een motor uit Blackburn

According to Vicky Frost from the VMCC Library Team: "I have spoken to one of our researchers who has confirmed that it is a BAT.  He particularly admired the wicker side car and wicker side saddle pillion seat. Registration number CB 430, was issued in Blackburn, UK.  We have looked at our BAT catalogues and we have identified it as a 1913 model." Vicky Frost van het VMCC Library Team (vrij vertaald): "Ik heb gesproken met een van onze researchers. Hij bevestigde dat het om een BAT gaat. Hij vond voornamelijk het vlechtwerk van de zijspan en het zitje achterop heel mooi. Het nummer CB430 is in Blackburn, Verenigd Koninkrijk geregistreerd. We hebben in de BAT catalogussen gevonden dat het om een 1913 model gaat." Bat was een motorfabriek, opgericht in 1902 in Penge, Londen. In 1926 is de firma opgeheven vanwege financiële problemen.

Village in France Helaas weet ik (nog) niet welk dorp. Ik kan dankzij medewerking van ONVQF wel zeggen dat het niet Baskenland is en nu gaat mijn vermoeden uit naar Zuid-Frankrijk. De zoektocht gaat verder.

Berlin-Steglitz Before the second world war, this is what Steglitz (a Berlin borough) looked like. The houses are mostly demolished because of the Stadtautobahn. In the background you can see das Rathaus (town hall) Steglitz. I found this picture. It shows allmost the same view.
