If you've been wondering where I've been, I'm basically just waiting until the next hiatus comes around so I can get some slightly crispier caps from the DVDs. Also lets all the drama die down too, so that's nice.
On that note, I would like to state that if RWBY never deals with romance again, I will die a happy man. Dear lord above, they made Jaune a relentless creepy guy when before he was at least somewhat considerate, they brought Weiss into this stupid-ass love triangle and made her out of character as well, and just...bleh. BLEH BLEH BLEH.
However, it's still funny, the fight scenes remain excellent, and since those were the two things that I came to RWBY for, I guess I'll be sticking around. But srsly, Miles, Kerry, please leave romance out of volume three, or if that's not an option, hire someone else.
Ahem. End rant. Enjoy the rest of the volume, all!
You know, I don't think I can actually use any of the food fight scenes for a Silly RWBY AU, simply because I just don't believe I can top the brilliant ridiculousness of that whole thing. GG Rooster Teeth, you got me.
Okay, maybe I'm not Eminem, but at least my computer is finally fixed! Yayifications! With RWBY Volume 2 just around the corner, I'll be putting out a few posts before then, but the main focus (hopefully) will be with all the juicy new scenes I'll be misusing from Volume 2. Mmm. While it's not completely broken yet, it's having some really bad issues with overheating (I'm thinking one of the fans is broken?) and if I don't get it checked out soon, it's likely that there'll be permanent damage to my poor PC.

Then boy oh boy, dear reader, do I have a project for you! Trapped is a new song that is currently in the works by none other than myself, Soulwithlife, the mod of Silly RWBY AUs. It's a piece centred around Weiss, being a sequel of sorts to 'Mirror Mirror', if you will. I've completely finished the lyrics and vocal melody, along with the majority of the guitar chords, so I reckon the song is about 70% complete. Just need to get everything else together, record the darn thing and then do a bit of post-production.
So what does this mean for Silly RWBY AUs?
Welp, what it means is that, every day that I release a Silly RWBY AUs post, I'll also slip in some WIP stuff for Trapped. I'll always put this info in the read more section, so if you ever want to see how the song's coming along, why not have a peek? I swear, there'll be all sorts of goodies down here. No Magikarp, though. Sad face.
Y'allo! Sorry I haven't been keeping on schedule, been working pretty hard on the project I mentioned before. While it's still nowhere near finished, I will be revealing it to you glorious tumblerites tomorrow, along with a new Silly RWBY AUs post for the peeps who need their fix of ridiculousness ; ) .

I wonder if anyone's done a RWBY/Gurren Lagann AU yet? I mean, just look at how cool Ruby is in those shades and tell me that wouldn't make a cool fic! Seriousement.
Also, to give Ruby some credit, that is a valid definition of irony, and clothing irons did used to be made out of the stuff. Wait, what if she already knew that and is just doing this to wind Weiss up?

The unfortunate lack of scenes with regular Grimm in them made this one a little tricky, but in the end I decided that the Red trailer would be the best candidate, as smexy as the new Beowolf models are.

Decent cat photographs which can be poorly photoshopped into images are actually surprisingly hard to find. Go figure.
Also, my apologies for changing the idea slightly, but once the mental image of Blake (ironically) being the only one who's not a cat got into my brain, there was no escape. Hope you like the change, curiouslykit!

This probably isn't quite what you were thinking of, jax2tehmax, but anything else I was coming up with just felt like a rehash of that swag post. Thus, I decided Penny being 'gangsta' was much like Penny being 'normal' in the series; a use of the adjective so loose that someone needs slapping with a dictionary. Probably me. OW
Alrighty! Megapost done and dusted. Phew. Challenged myself this time by only using three frames (minus the ask) for each idea, and while I felt some could definitely be developed more (that soap concept was genius), I'm still fairly happy with how it turned out.

First of all, I wanted to let you guys know that the next Silly RWBY AU post is debuting tomorrow sometime (29th May GMT), since I'm trying to do something a bit different with this one and, as such, it's taking a little longer than expected. Still, I think I've covered myself by saying "new content every two days-ish", but I just wanted to clear things up in that regard.
Second, sillyrwbyaus has almost hit 100 followers! You know, I was going to do a 50 follower special but it kinda shot by too fast, so...I guess we're doing 100 now? Anyway, since I really haven't posted that much yet and you probably know next to nothing about me, I thought I'd do a Q&A!
