We have some sway on it but it’s not entirely in our control which sucks but right now it’s looking like our new host group is going to be AC, Nobu, and Metty.
Which is funny in a way.
AC is Eden’s twin, so they front together often anyway. Eden was the primary host for nearly 2 years and having AC take their place is interesting.
Nobu is deeply entwined with Luno, who spent something like 15 collective years as a host (on and off).
Metty WAS a host but stepped down a while ago and apparently rest helped because now he’s ready to do it again.
We’ve also been playing games with our brother and some of their friends a good bit recently and that’s been really fun! We had a blast playing Meccha Chameleon with them and then we ran maps in FFXIV the other day and that was so fucking funny we kept wiping because there were only 4 of us but it was hilarious every time and we made some good money!

We’ve been having a hard time lately. We’ve come to realize that our job is causing so much stress that it’s triggering health problems. The trouble is we’ve applied to 500 jobs in the last 5 months with no luck at all. The job market is that bad. So, we’re trying to do more to work on our coping skills. Journaling has been doing a fair bit, and we’re looking into getting more stim toys and things to help while we work. We tried playing with some of AC’s slime while making the phone calls we hate most today, and it helped! We’ve also set up appointments with a couple doctors and a therapist to try working on some of the physical issues and learn better coping skills. Unfortunately, all the coping skills we have only work for “Mommy hates me so much” type situations. That does not help with a 9-5.
But we’re getting there. We’re putting in the effort and trying to make life a little easier. We even rearranged the house so that job stuff is contained solely to the home office. That does mean our personal computer is just out in the living room, but it’s kind of nice that way. Having the separation between work and everything else has also been helping.
I think we’re probably going to continue to be fairly on edge until our procedure in September, but we’re learning to handle it. Slowly.
